I haven’t visited THE HIVE Studios in almost a year, yet they charged my credit card without permission on November 17, 2025. I never authorized this payment, and it’s extremely concerning — I should not have to deal with this level of fraud from a business I once trusted.

This is absolutely unacceptable. Be very careful if you’ve given them your card information — they may charge you even when you’re not using their services.

I have already filed a fraud dispute with my bank.

I dare say Mia is the greatest contemporary teacher EVER! Shes so sauve and everything she writes is super cool. I learned so much! I'll miss you guys!
That said, the yoga class you guys have is among the worst xP
Keep up the free redbull too, and remember to stock the sugar free for all the health conscious people like me out there ;)

I had such a wonderful experience at this dance studio! The instructor is absolutely lovely—warm, welcoming, and full of energy. She creates such a positive atmosphere that makes learning fun and exciting, no matter your skill level. Her talent and passion for dance really shine through in her class, and she has a great way of breaking things down I left feeling both inspired and energized, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a mix of skill, fun, and encouragement.

I was really nervous about taking my first (ever) dance class at 23, but the Hive was perfect. It’s an adorable space and everyone was super welcoming and friendly. I did a musical theatre class and while it was definitely challenging, I was able to keep up and have fun dancing. I also really loved that they offer weekday morning classes because I work weird hours so it was difficult to find an accommodating studio. There’s also lots of free parking nearby! I will definitely be back!

I’ve loved taking beginner ballet classes with The Hive so far! It’s an inclusive space and very beginner friendly. I really appreciate that Callie doesn’t dumb down any of the steps that she teaches and she has students doing challenging combos right from the start. You learn directly by just jumping in and doing it. She is great at modifying things to make it more beginner friendly or more challenging for advanced students. I’ve done two classes and I feel like I’ve already learned a lot. I’m looking forward to taking many more classes!

The Hive is a total gem. The adult beginner tap classes with Ivy are so much fun. She is a great instructor, and she creates a welcoming, fun, non-judgmental vibe. The studio is clean and cozy and easy to get to - close to the Metra and the brown line, plus there's lots of street parking along Ravenswood. I'm so glad to have found this studio and highly recommend it!

As someone with no prior dance experience, it was rather intimidating to try adult beginner ballet - but Jeff and Callie have made my journey into ballet one of complete joy infused with actual progress! The vibe is inclusive, and accepting of wherever you are as a dancer. I'm super grateful for this space and this wonderful crew of dancers! I've been coming regularly for a little over a year, and I'm really proud of how far I've come from 0!

The Hive is no less than a dance miracle we are all blessed with. Sign up for any class, and live your full life, no regrets, I guarantee it more than Men’s Warehouse. I danced competitively growing up, and have slowly let age and deterioration wash over me in adulthood. I think I have tried most dance studios for adults in Chicago. Some were too stuffy, others too old school, others you felt like an outsider if you weren’t a regular. This place is the real deal. A cool, open, brand new dance space (even smells good with amazing plants); classes are geared to all abilities and levels; they make everyone feel welcomed and able. I’ve taken a variety of classes - jazz, hip hop, stretching, funk - you cannot take a bad class here. You can drop in and don't feel lost if you can’t make it every week. Every instructor is a crazy talented dancer in their own right and you feel
special they are spending their talents on you. Seth and Jeff are the coolest, kindest, crazy talented, passionate about dance, play the best music. Just go. Sign up for many classes. Use muscles you forgot you had. Bring all your friends.

I love taking dance at the Hive! I've only taken ballet classes here but I enjoy every class. Jeff is very supportive and great with a variety of levels- if dancers are more advanced, he gives a modification to make the combinations more challenging, and if it's your first time in a ballet class, he has easier modifications as well. If you've never taken dance before and you're curious to try it out, or you've been meaning to get back to it after some time away, I can't think of a better place to take class.
