I joined The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff a couple of years ago and I've been really happy with the private lessons, evening drills, team drills and all of the tennis pros and other staff. I was a member at Midtown Bannockburn for over 10 years, and prefer The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff for its inclusive and friendly atmosphere. Even though I live closer to Midtown Bannockburn, I'm happy to have moved my membership to The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.

Fantastic coaching for kids, both group and individual, with a real community feel. Our 11 year old daughter does group (ongoing and summer/winter/spring camps), private, competition nights, and team tennis with the club and loves playing here. The coaches are invested in the ongoing growth of the children as players. Children's training is taken seriously and they are challenged at the appropriate level. She enjoys playing here and has many friends.

Nice club. I did a lot of the drop in drills and such and played individually with other players. There are a diverse number of coaches, so if one doesn't vibe with you, there are like 10 others which is nice. Some coaches vibed very well with me, and some did not, which is not surprising no matter where you go in this world for tennis. Two reasons it doesn't get 5 stars: 1.) there was disagreement on how to handle re-stringing my racquet one time, and I just went to another nearby club to get that done. 2.) At least for the men's 3.5 Monday drills, we need more serving for point play. And one of the fill in pro's agreed with that in one session. But for a 1.5 hr drill, often we would be serving 15-30 minutes near the end, but in my humble opinion that needs to be closer to 30-45 minutes seeing the needs of American tennis these days. It has been tough these past few months with some leadership changeover, but I'm confident things will stabilize at RCLB. So thank you again.

As a beginner level player, I found this facility to be unwelcoming. The information regarding class sessions is not aptly described online. I registered for a session that was for more advanced players by mistake, but no where did it say online that it was ONLY for advanced players. After the front desk lady swiped my card, after getting on to the court - they told me to leave. Never received any reimbursement, horrible experience.
