I absolutely love love TGTN! This is not your typical gym where you have to drag yourself to. Ive had multiple gym memberships with no results or motivation but this has been a much different experience for me. I actually enjoy coming here. I love how motivating, friendly, and AWESOME everyone is. The coaches make sure you push yourself and follow through on your goals. Love it!!!

Can I just tell all of you how awesome this gym is? You don't know a good workout until you've been here.
Anyone that even somewhat knows me, knows that I don't bullshit! The members are all super awesome people, very welcoming and positive. I have made some pretty awesome friends already. The coaches are all VERY attentive, knowledgeable and most importantly- MOTIVATING!
Scheduling is as flexible as u need it to be- 8 session times a day ranging from 5:30am for the early birds to the latest class at 8:30 pm for the busy night owls. You don't have to worry about feeling stupid or being judged-everyone here has the SAME goals- to be fit! Doesn't matter if you're not a fitness junkie- you will soon be proud to be one after you experience the #tgtn family atmosphere!

How do I even start... This is by far the BEST gym I have ever stepped foot into. I first noticed the atmosphere and how friendly everyone is to EVERYONE!!! Beyond that, the workouts are fantastic, as well as the coaching, motivation and inspiration. I never knew what to do at a regular gym. I would hop on the treadmill for 45 minutes, hit some weight machines and think I was actually doing something for myself. Training Ground has experienced coaches running you through a circuit and watching all of us intently to ensure we have correct form, so we don't get injured and get the maximum performance out of the exercises. I've been going there steadily now 4 to 5 days a week for the past almost 7 months, and I get excited for my gym time no matter how tired I am bc this place fills you with energy. It took me a bit to get my eating under control as I knew I wouldn't be able to do that all at once, but I finally have. The result is that I have lost 20lbs in the past 8 weeks, and I'm so excited about that!!!! I still have about 65lbs to go, but with this super awesome, caring, motivational and inspirational team of coaches and fellow althetes, I have zero doubt that I will obtain my ultimate goal!!! Trust me when i say these are the people you WANT to be a part of your journey whether its weight loss, strength, toning or being healthly!!!! They look forward to hearing about your progress and if you aren't progressing they will help you find out why and get you there no matter what it takes. Speak with the owner, Ben, for 2 minutes and you know these guy really knows all of the ins and outs of fitness. Training Ground Transformation is an awesome place. This place has more equipment to work out on than any other gym I've been to. I can't until my private coach, Tracy, takes me through all the ropes, tires and punching bags.
I started as Tracy's private client last week and I feel very comfortable with her because she has been exactly where I am right now. I am confident that she will help me reach my fitness goals.

I have been training here for 7 months and absolutely love it. TGTN has helped me find my confidence. I'm also much happier and healthier than I've ever been before and I've been on a weight loss journey for 3 years. This has definitely been the best thing that's ever happened to me throughout this whole process.
I consider the owner, Ben Ballinger, my mentor in life. He has taught me so much about proper fitness and nutrition. He has been a man of his word and has helped me reach every single goal that I've set out for myself from day one.
This places feels like home to me. The energy is so positive. The atmosphere is fun, uplifting, and extremely comfortable which is hard to find in most gyms.
Finally, the coaches and other athletes work together to create the most badass workout that you'll ever have.

This place was exactly what I was looking for.. After baby #3 it was time for me to start leading a healthier life style and it started with joining Training Ground. This isn't a regular gym but that's what I love about it. The circuit changes day to day and u aren't using regular equipment.. Here u have ropes, sleds, kettle bells and more.. Ben is awesome!!!! He really cares about everyone and is dedicated to helping us reach our goals whatever they may be.. Yes I go to the group sessions but I feel like I have my own personal trainer :) He is very good at running the session but watching and adjusting us all at the same time. He is all about form and proper technique which is important.. I don't like waking up so early but after the session is done I feel 100 times better and its all worth it in the end. So glad I join when I did!!!

I only started couple weeks ago, but I can say, that I love coming to work out now. Before I used to buy membership to other Gyms, only to find myself not going, because I had no idea where to even begin. I love the atmosphere here. The coaches are friendly and very helpful in reaching your goals, and by signing up you actually get a new family. You find new friends and it helps you to reach the goal as you get encouragement not only from the staff, but also from all other members of the this "workout family". They help you with planing your meals to get more healthy as it is a big part of loosing weight. They have a Facebook group, where you get inspiration from all members on how to be more healthy, and you get hungry for "good healthy food" as the members are so proud of what they can make from healthy ingredients , so they post photos and recipes of their meals. I came from Europe, the East side, and our food consisted a lot of potatoes. I would eat potatoes in and with almost every meal, and a lot of bread. Now, only couple of weeks being a part of this group, I do not get the need to eat bread with my salads, and instead of potatoes with my meat I eat salad or other vegetable. It is a life changer, but for way better. I am proud of being a part of it.

TGTN isn't a gym per se; it is truly a training ground for anyone who wants to transform one's body The exercises switch on a regular basis and attend to muscles that undeniably tone the body with spine-tingling results. Having started in August, I cannot fathom how strong and fit I have become. Mindful of his clients' variegated lives, Ben alleviates the stress by having online coaching for whenever school/job relocating becomes a reality. Ben genuinely has an amaranthine commitment to his métier.

I recently just had knee surgery for arthritis and needed to lose some weight to help with decreasing the stress on my knees. Ben (the trainer/owner) was so kind enough to help adjust some of the exercises that were more difficult for me. 6 weeks I have been going there, and no longer need anymore alternative exercises because of the strength that I have build up in my legs. This place is addicting! I always played sports, but hated going to the gym to workout I never pushed myself to my highest potential, Ben helps with that! I never knew I could have so much fun, and get a great workout in. I definitely recommended at least trying out the free-trial, and I bet you will get addicted too!

I use to spend time at the gym and at times didn’t even go at all because I wasn’t seeing results and I wasn’t motivated. I decided it was time to change something and that’s when I contacted Ben and joined Training Ground TransformationNATION. Just after a week of working out at TGTN I started feeling so much better. Ben offers many different time slots that make it easy to fit into a busy schedule. The class goes by super fast and it’s a killer workout. Ben is a great coach and focus on each and every individual to ensure you are properly performing each workout in order to get the best results! The workouts vary which keeps it interesting and it’s a great environment. It was the best decision I made!!!

I have been a member of the TGOC "Family" for about 6 months now. I say "family", because thats what everyone here is about. Everyone is positive and encouraging. Even when I don't see my changes, I am pleasantly surprised when someone randomly says they've noticed a change. The coaches are adamant about keeping accountability, not only in making training a priority, but also in healthy eating. I am now eating the healthiest I have ever been in my life! (yea, I eat some vegetables now!) We have weekly, short, and long term goals. I have lost nearly 20 pounds, and highly recommend Training Grounds Orange County!

I am not sure Ben is your guy if you are
a) not serious about your fitness goals
b) wants someone with an hands-off approach
Ben is the best trainer that I have had the pleasure of working with. He has an holistic and personalized approach to fitness. Of course, his training sessions are intense, but he pays equal and personalized attention to your diet and overall progress. Example: You HAVE to send him your weekly diet plan on Monday along with your measurements and photos. If you by any chance forget to do so, you will receive an SMS/email asking you to send the data. I really don't think any other trainer would afford you this level of personalized service.

When I first heard of TGOC I was referred by a friend, I was hardly their ideal prospect customer as I was fairly happy with the way I looked and really didn’t enjoy gyms or cardio as I found it boring. I also knew I had a fairly healthy diet and that there wasn’t necessarily any quick wins on that front.
I was Happy in life and I wasn’t particularly overweight… I WAS incredibly unfit but I wasn't particularly bothered about it and hated Gyms because I found them boring.
In the end I decided to sign up as I wanted to lose some weight for summer and because I wanted to get fit enough to start playing team sports again… (it was close to 10 years since I last had)
I've been working with the team at training ground OC approximately two and a half months now and I have to say the whole experience has been fantastic. I feel better in myself, I look healthier and fitter in my appearance and I’ve lost approximately 15Lb . People keep on commenting that I’ve lost weight, but people also say that I look healthier and can see the change in my muscle definition. (not that I had any before)
The most important thing about the training is that it's fun and incredibly varied... after almost 20 sessions I still learn new techniques and methods every session and normally we repeat, 20-30 different training techniques per session, so it's much more interesting than just running on a tread mill staring at a wall for an hour.
I’ve also learnt a lot about nutrition, while I’ve always had a fairly good understanding of what food is bad for you, the team have opened my eyes to foods I didn't know were high in protein and foods that were particularly good for you. They also provided some excellent recipes to help make sure you are eating the right food but still enjoying what you want to eat.
I now have some clearly defined goals in what I want to achieve, a good understanding of how to get there and enjoy eating what I eat and training when I train.
The whole experience has been A* and I’m delighted I decided to sign up.

Training Ground OC has been a truly amazing wellness experience for me. I've always run races, had gym memberships and I was an athlete in school, so I figured I knew how to work out and change my body.
TGOC has a completely different take on what a gym should be, they care and keep track of their athletes. They offer nutrition training with your membership and this is where the magic happens. With their help i've been able to shed 10lbs, that had been impossible on my own. Not only do they review your meals for the week, they are constantly giving motivation and tips on how you can make little changes to see the results that are important to you.
The other great thing about this gym is that they've built a community of like minded people in the OC area. They schedule hikes and outings so you get to know your workout buddies. So every workout your friends are there to motivate and see you progress.
So as long as I'm living in the OC I will continue to go to TGOC for the hard workouts, nutrition advice, motivation and friendships.

Training Ground OC is a great place to train for Athletes of all levels. Currently I am a competitive swimmer, but I also train at Training Ground OC. I needed to find a good strength and conditioning coach in Newport Beach and I ran across Coach Ben and his staff. Not only do they know about fitness, but their nutrition knowledge helped me to gain strength while cutting up and losing 15lbs of muscle in around 6 weeks. The passion and commitment here is undeniable. I highly recommend Training Ground OC!
