About the Club

The popular Treadfit fitness program is expanding from its southwest Chicago roots with this recently-opened Palos Heights location!

Treadfit's addicting workouts combine full-body strength training with cardio intervals using the the HIIT (high intensity interval training) method. What does that mean? You'll get the maximum effect out of your 50-minute class and keep burning extra calories for 24-36 hours. Clients on average burn between 400-800 calories per class.

Treadfit Palos Heights welcomes all fitness levels. Whether you're a casual walker or an elite runner, these customized workouts put you in control. Certified instructors will challenge you but also provide modifications to level up or level down based on your comfort.

Had an excellent workout here via ClassPass. Similar concept to Barry's, but much less intimidating. All skill levels can attend and modify the sets to suit their abilities. Will be back!

Update 1 year:
I've been at it for a year and I still love it. I started at 2 days a week and I'm now up to 4. It has changed my life so much and I can't thank the Treadfit family enough. I just finished my second Turkey Trot. Last year my time was just under 39min. This year I finished in just under 35. The progress I've made feels amazing. I encourage everyone to try it. Excited to see where I am at next year.

Original post:
I'm not a fit person, I've never really stuck with any workout, but I really...dare I say...enjoy my classes here. I don't know who I am anymore because me and running have never been in the same sentence before. I started classes about 3 months ago and stuck with it through the holidays. I signed up for a full year I've enjoyed it so much. Here's why.
1. You don't have time to convince yourself you can't do it. The intensity, speed, and times change constantly. You can do anything for 30 seconds. You are changing gears constantly and you don't have time to second guess yourself. This right here has change exercise for me. I no longer can talk myself out of it.
2. The instructors are incredible. They each bring something different, so if you don't click with someone try out a different instructor. My own thoughts on a few of the instructors.
- Renette is the music queen and pairs the music with workout really well. That along with her amazing positive attitude and encouragement typically gets me to push harder in my runs than most classes.
- Bridget's encouragement will make you believe you can climb mountains (and you probably could). Don't let her sweetness decieve you though, her classes are tough. I typically modify...everything. In the end though she will tell you how amazing you did and then you will sign up for another class.
- Caitlin is strength. She will push you to be better in every way. I love her focus on technique. She makes sure you're doing each exercise right and that you're getting the most out of each move. She may seem tough but it's because she knows you can do it and she wont let you quit or give you a chance to say you can't.

In 3 months at 2 classes a week, I am really seeing improvements. I still really like it. I still am amazed I like. I encourage anyone to just try out a class.

I absolutely LOVE my Treadfit workouts. I’ve been coming here since just after they first opened and have always felt very welcomed and comfortable. I am not much of a runner and have always felt comfortable modifying workouts to work for me. The instructors are all great and so encouraging. If you are looking for a great, non-intimidating place to workout, come here for sure!!

I absolutely LOVE treadfit! It is by far the best and most effective workout class I’ve ever attended. I was so nervous for my first class back in January but Mary Kate was so helpful, welcoming and explained everything. I’ve always felt very welcomed at Treadfit by all of the instructors and other participants should I ever have a question about an exercise or modification. Treadfit is perfect for all ages and ability levels and the instructors do a great job of suggestions and modifications. Highly recommend! 💪🏻 🏃‍♀️ ❤️

My husband and i have both been going here since they opened and we LOVE the workouts! The classes are fast paced and fun with great music! Switching between the treadmill and the floor workouts guarantees time flies and you will get a great workout! 1st class is free and there are constantly specials to buy packs (i just got $10 classes on a 1 day sale)!

Treadfit Palos Heights is a great workout! Since it is broken up into different blocks of running and weights time flies. You never get the same class twice so it never gets boring. You can go at your own pace and there is never any pressure to “keep up.” Check it out if you are bored with your current workout regimen!

I am so glad to have Treadfit in our neighborhood! Truly a place of zero judgement and FUN! As a beginner, I have felt welcome there from Day 1. Mary Kate and all of the instructors are wonderful at knowing my strengths and weaknesses, and pushing me to challenge myself more and more. I have gained so much confidence since I began attending classes here. If you enjoy workouts that are fun, loud, energetic, and VERY motivating- you will love Treadfit Palos!

MY NIECE AND I DECIDED TO GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY, NEW WORKOUT WHY NOT, WELL IT WAS VERY CRAZY, TOTALLY UNORGANIZED FOR NEW PEOPLE, EVERYONE ELSE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO EXCEPT US AND THE GIRL RUNNING THE CLASS SEEMED VERY UNORGANIZED, FIRST WE HAD TO SIGN A WAIVER THEN WE DIDN'T THEN WE DID, SHE WAS WORKING OFF OF HER I PHONE AND AN I PAD AND DIDN'T SEEM TO KNOW ABOUT A WAIVER OR NOT, I TOLD HER I PAID IN ERROR WHEN I WANTED TO SIGN UP FOR THE FIRST FREE CLASS & MY NIECE RECOMMENDED ME SO SHE WAS TO GET A FREE CLASS, THAT WENT RIGHT OVER HER HEAD, SHE DIDN'T SAY A WORD ABOUT ANYTHING FREE, SHE WAS SO RUSHED, THE CLASS BEFORE US ENDED AND ALL THE OTHERS IN OUR CLASS KNEW TO GRAB A TREADMILL, GRAB WEIGHTS, GRAB A BAND AND FIND A SPOT ON THE FLOOR, MY NIECE AND I KNEW NONE OF THIS AND IT'S A SMALL FACILITY SO EVERYONE WAS EVERYWHERE - SO WE DIDN'T GET BANDS, DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO GET THEM, THEN THE CLASS STARTS, THE MUSIC IS SO LOUD WE COULDN'T HEAR A WORD THE INSTRUCTOR WAS SAYING, AGAIN EVERYONE ELSE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO EXCEPT US, THEN SHE WOULD LOWER THE MUSIC AND SAY SOMETHING, THEN CRANK THE MUSIC SO LOUD AND THIS WENT ON EVERY 30 TO 60 SECONDS, NO NEED TO CRANK THE MUSIC SO LOUD FOR 30 SECONDS, THEN LOWER IT, THEN CRANK IT, WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, I'M NOT NEW TO EXERCISING BUT NEW TO THIS FACILITY AND THIS CLASS, DIDN'T FEEL THE INSTRUCTER GAVE INSTRUCTIONS OR A WELCOME TO NEW PEOPLE ONE BIT, MAYBE THE CLASSES SHOULDN'T BE 10 MINUTES APART, THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TIME, THE FACILITY ISN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR 30 PEOPLE COMING AND GOING. I DEF WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS FACILITY AND I DON'T THINK MY NIECE WILL BE EITHER. VERY DISAPPOINTED, WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO SOMETHING NEW AND DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL.
