Sauna may need wood replacement due to rotting. I enjoy coming in however the sauna needs to be better kept the mirror and wood does have some stains that could be cleaned witch tells me nobody attempts to clean it. I really love the gym however I’d like to see some improvements with some of the maintenance of things. I come to it everyday after work and I love the staff. Great people.

My husband and I have been members since the gym opened. Initially the gym was constantly being cleaned and now that rarely happens. My husband says the mens restroom is always dirty. Not to mention the constant staff changes. I have never seen so many changes in staff since joining this location. As of late the staff is asking once you walk in who are you working out with multiple times which is none of their business to be honest. I am not gonna say it’s horrible but it’s definitely went down since opening which is kind of sad.

I was told I was no longer welcome or a member of the gym after dispute. Was also told that my membership was canceled, but got charged for 2 months after I was “kicked out.” When I finally returned and was able to cancel, I was promised a refund. Refund never happened, be careful with this place they are not ones to claim there own mistakes and will take whatever money they can from you.

Been going to this gym for a year. The gym itself is great but the current GM (Darnell) is very unprofessional! GM pulled me aside to tell me not to train my friends here for safety and liability reasons. Which I respectfully agreed to. Came back the same day for my personal workout and was hanging out by my friend (who I was not training) and the GM comes up to me and assumes I was training my friends again. He proceeded to verbally assault me and my friends as loud as possible and said he would beat up my friend and body shamed me saying that I "look like no ones personal trainer". Unreal! Luckily the owner was the only one willing to have a civilized conversation to get to the bottom of it. Still no apology from anyone! GM needs to get his roid rage under control and in my opinion, should be fired.

Edit: I emailed the UFC Gym Company about this and I hope they investigate it further.

Most unprofessional management. No people skills what so ever and very incompetent at handling customer concerns when it comes to the billing. STAY AWAY unless you want to be double charged monthly and nobody ever gets back to you unless you write a review. Been here one year. Loved it at first, but the new GM Darnell has been horrible. Since he has taken over the cleanliness has suffered badly. The have a revolving door of new desk help, that seems clueless.
I tried to express this to Darnell and as he read his phone, he just denied that any of this was true.

I really enjoy this gym. Been a member since it first opened. For a while, I think it was being run by kids so service and cleanliness was an issue, but those issues have been resolved now. My only recommendation would be to make sure the bathrooms stay clean and they enhance the recovery room. The aqua bed and infrared therapy bed are great, but no one uses that tanning machine. Get a cryo machine and compression boots in place of that and this gym would be top notch!

Good gym terrible service. I was charged a additional $117 Darnell the manager admitted it was his mistake. I’ve talked to everyone you could think of to get my refund back and no one has helped me out it’s been almost two weeks he said he’ll refund me and after calling back and asking why I didn’t get my refund yet he stated that I should’ve done my part and called the bank What?? He literally said HE was going to refund me. I even talked to this other dude there he said that he’ll process the refund (which he never did). I call the owner of the facility he said he can’t do anything and I have to take it up gym level. In his words “ maybe they haven’t gotten to it because they have more important things to do.” It’s been almost two weeks. Reading these other reviews it seems like this happens often. Don’t sign up unless you want to take the risk of losing extra money. I’m not going to write down every detail on a google review but just know the whole situation was handled unprofessionally and Darnell even tried to switch up what he told us!

Absolute horrible management, this place can’t understand how customer service works, I asked to freeze my account because of an injury months back and the manager at the time was let go, I was charged for 2 months I was suppose to be on sick leave, I go in and the new manager says it’s not his fault and that he can’t refund me.. just because you lose a manager doesn’t mean you don’t honor that promise, I’ve been scammed out of money, and today was embarrassed in front of the front desk in front of other customers saying, I couldn’t workout there. I would rate this higher as the equipment and (most) of the staff is friendly, and it is a great workout environment, or used to be. I have been going to ufc for about a year and will no longer set foot in there again. In saying this, the new managers sense of entitlement and power is equal to dictatorship along with the owner. If you ever need to let anger out just talk to the new manager because the only conversations you’ll have are yelling arguments. So far in the past 2 weeks, not even, 3 of my friends have gotten suspended for “training” people but simply have been working out with friends. And when my friends have been confronted, they calmly carried the conversation and told their side of what was going on and it was combated with screaming! What kind of management and organization is this! And once the owner was notified via email, he took the managers side and claimed my friends were saying to “hit him” in the background and there were “many bystanders to hear this.” What bystanders? The manager and the owner? The only shaming or harassment that was going on in that conversation was the manager telling my friend “he shouldn’t be training anyone because he doesn’t look like a trainer.” So far 12 of my friends have left ufc in the past 2 1/2 weeks due to this issue and I just want to fore warn everyone before making a decision and not coming across these issues in the future, especially when they aren’t getting resolved.

UFC gym north Aurora is an excellent place to work towards your fitness goals. I have done the spin, kickboxing, DUT and TRX classes and the trainers are amazing. They will really push you towards your goals. Everyone is super friendly from the front desk staff to the trainers to the gym members. Plus I’ve been doing personal training with Eric and have lost weight and gained muscle! Would highly recommend this gym!!

We were charged $1,200 after not being there for 7 months. Stop charging our account UFC AURORA!

I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews and come off as a Karen, but I feel compelled to for this certain experience. It’s a shame such a beautiful gym has such a poor management/owner system. I had to stop attending personal training due to work related reasons and absolutely could not do anything from my side to make room for these sessions. I only showed up to one session before I found out I had a sudden schedule change. I cannot argue with my boss. Instead of being understanding and refunding me $1200 for the 2 upcoming months I had to schedule an appointment with my banker to file a dispute with my credit card in order to not be charged. That’s a months rent. I understand paying the first month as it was so sudden on my part. But the next 2 months for a service I cannot attend? This gym is a scam. I understand there are contracts, but NO ONE goes over contracts with you, explains anything before agreeing to their services, or even gives you a copy of the contract to look over. No wonder why business is slow and less and less people show up each time. Not only that but it’s impossible to get in contact with the owner as if you have to be some VIP rather than a paying customer. Eric’s (personal trainer) response to me notifying him of my schedule change and inability to attend sessions was very inconsiderate. Shows he cares more about the money than your personal growth. Not to mention he was on his phone at least 50% of the time during training sessions. I would have been better off looking it up on YouTube than paying for this kid. Nonetheless that’s not the reason as to why I decided to stop my sessions. “Mistakes” can be overlooked. I’m just really disappointed with this whole experience in terms of customer service.

Sincerely, if you are thinking about signing up for this gym...DO IT!! The instructors are simply amazing and provide killer workouts that will have you leaving feeling accomplished. I am a runner and have been cross-training with Eric throughout the last year. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and trains me based on my changing needs. He has done a great job creating programs and supporting my nutrition. I definitely maintain my gym membership to train with him.

The facility itself has nice equipment, and enough space to feel make me feel comfortable during the pandemic. I also love that they have group classes!

Do not sign up here. They (same owners) closed their other location, UFC Downers Grove, in the middle of the day with no notice to staff or members. They were pushing people to sign up days before closing, sending emails offering discounts for long contracts. All of this while knowing they were about to close. Not refunding anyone for months of unused membership or personal training sessions.

Update: They're claiming not to be the same owners, despite staff and long time members knowing they've owned both gyms. They are sending emails and texts to all UFC DG members about joining UFC North Aurora from the Downers Grove accounts. All other UFC clubs in the area are just emphasizing they're unaffiliated, while North Aurora is recruiting with "deals." Happy to change my review if owner shows when ownership changed.

Especially the spin class with Rob D. he does a great class that gets everyone psyched up. I think this gym has a lot to offer. Great equipment, facililty and coaches. The 'management' is a train wreck though. I've had a bunch of billing issues, with one of them being met with attitude from the manager in an email. I just tried to cancel my membership and they're trying to get extra money out of me, or make me come in to sign a piece of paper. In short, if you're looking for a nice gym and don't think you'll ever need an issue resolved, this place is nice inside. I love this gym! From the very start I was struggling with my weight and self confidence. The moment I walked in the gym I felt home. Jordan was professional and knowledgeable. He got me set up with a personal trainer to help me get back to where I wanna be. 8 weeks later I've lost 9% body fat put on massive muscle. I couldn't have done any of what I've done with out the help and support of Jordan and my trainer Eric. Eric has been amazing from day one! He judge where I was and put together a program for me that has seen me go from dead lifting 65 lbs and feel like I was going to die. To deadlifting 295 and feeling like a beast doing it! My bench went from maybe 135 to 205. Point is if you're looking for an amazing place to grow this is it from the staff to the trainers to the equipment and extra classes including a world class bjj black belt. YOU CAN NOT go wrong training here!

This gym is simply outstanding. It's almost 40,000 square feet and all of the NEW equipment is spaced out perfectly, even for COVID standards! Nothing worse than having equipment too close, making it challenging to even change the weights, let alone being that close to a sweaty stranger. It can accommodate the recreational enthusiast, as well as the serious competitor: Free weights, machines, squat racks/power lifting platforms, heavy bags, aerobics, cross fit, boxing, martial arts, etc,...its got everything you need and more.

Unreal. Signed up in November of ‘19. Was told the gym was to open in January ‘20. The gym then postponed its opening to February ‘20. I rolled with it. Then it was postponed until April ‘20. Ugh. COVID hits. I call to cancel my membership. No one answers. I leave a message. No one returns my call. It reopens in summer ‘20 and I am charged. I have to call and contest with my credit card company to stop them from taking my $. I go to the gym to cancel and subsequently sign the cancellation of a membership I never used. The manager apologizes for the misunderstanding. All good. I think it’s over.....but Lo and behold 2 months later they text and want $25. I call and tell them of the situation (again)and expect a call from their owner. Of course no one calls. To this day I get periodic texts claiming they need assistance to ‘process payment.’ Payment for what? I never used their gym, used my credit card to block them from taking my $, signed a cancellation to my membership (which I never had used since they never opened in time,) and now I still receive texts threatening ‘collections’ for a mysterious $25 no one wants to explain. Horrendous experience.

So I Signed my Son up before Gym was Built. The opening kept getting pushed back and pushed back then Covid hit and it was closed. Then when they opened I kept my membership to see if Covid cleared up. When I saw that it wasn't went in to cancel but no manager or they didn't have cancelation paper for me to sign. So after a bit we were able to cancel the membership because they had the paper a month later still got Charged. When I signed up I paid for the First and Last month of the membership but they still Charge you an extra month. Just another shady Gym my son went there zero times and I paid 70 dollars a month for 10 month open time. This doesn't include the the few Hundred I paid before the Gym was finished. It actually makes you want to come work out, Robs energy in the morning kick boxing classes are great, phils daily ultimate training morning class will push you and hes also a really great, and jodeys kick boxing classes are no joke, and My favorite because his classes push me more than Id personally push myself, also a really great down to earth person. Its also HUGE gym loads of equipment, so for those worried about covid theres really no issues with social distancing here because it so huge. great staff, and now that they have a new manager Id highly recommend it .

I mainly go to this gym for mma and jujitsu and the coaches are both great. Jake and Jodey are both awesome, and the gym itself is very nice. However the management just seems poor bc there clearly isn't enough classes and the instructors don't seem to have control over what times and how many classes there can be. I pay 70 dollars a month and there's only jujitsu classes on 4 days of the week and I cant make it to 2 of them. Then there is only one mauy thai class. In a perfect world there's both classes running every day multiple times a day one morning one night.

This gym is great. It's brand new so the equipment work perfectly and locker rooms were very clean. Lots of different areas from freeweights, to weight machines, to boxing bags, to spinning bikes, and more. The gear is spaced 6ft apart and is huge. They went over the covid precautions so they are taking that very seriously. It looks like they have a bunch of classes which I'm excited to explore.

This gym is simply beautiful. I was in shock as soon I entered the building. It has an array of cardiovascular equipment ranging from various treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, a Jacob's Ladder and much more. The layout is splendid and filled with strength resistance equipment as well as athletic and crossfit equipment. It is going to be such a reprieve to be able to do everything under one roof instead of having multiple memberships. This gym has the full fitness center, childcare, boxing conditioning classes, cross training classes, a youth program as well as a complete mixed martial arts program. You'll find me here 6 days a week and if you don't see me odds are I'm enjoying the sauna.

Signed up in November 2019 being told by salesman and trainer gym would be open in January 2020 possibly early February 2020. Here it is damn near April 2020 and they still haven't released a true opening date only response everytime someone asks is oh a couple weeks. Also tried getting a refund of two paid memberships and pt recently due to leaving state and not being around a gym within 25 miles and the trainer said it isnt possible. Tried reaching out to the general manager a couple times no response back and same for corporate. They dont care about their customers they just want to keep dragging people in so they can use your money for the never ending construction project. They never give a clear answer they always give you the run around.
