The gym as a whole is very nice, however there are a few things I feel they should have thought out. #1, this gym is too big for the small amount of lockers they have. #2, they need more stretching machines. # 3 it would have been nice to have a protein shake bar. Other than that, this gym is very nice

The facility itself is very nice. While the sauna was about the size of a handicapped bathroom stall, that’s not even the real issue. The issue is that it’s co-ed. I can’t imagine many women feeling comfortable sharing such a small, enclosed space with men. Not only can you not get the optimal benefits of a sauna while being fully clothed — which you’d have to be in a co-ed sauna — but the temperature was also too low (only 170°F) to be truly effective. This is the first time I’ve seen a co-ed sauna set up like this, and it completely missed the mark for me.

Absolutely love this gyms lighting, space, layout and equipment! Though I had an off putting experience with staff I will not base my stars on that. As someone who visits gyms regularly and internationally, I can say the equipment setup here is friendly for all fitness levels; weights for heavy lifters, multiple studios for classes, two turf spaces. It’s a beautiful, modern addition to the community, and I also appreciated seeing welcoming faces of color at the front.

On my way out, I left my ID and credit card at the front desk with the general manager while completing my profile, and when I returned to retrieve them, her response was surprisingly dismissive (and a bit rude) considering the importance of those items and just working with me. I had to find another team member who located them right away, but the handling from management did not match the standard expected in a new gym — any gym.

Though the environment might feel a bit intimidating or take some getting used to for new gym-goers, the upside is that majority of the staff is genuinely bubbly and helpful. As the opening rush settles, I’m hopeful that management’s client service and attention to detail will improve to match the overall quality of the space.

La fitness is so cooked. This gym is amazing. It’s huge. All the equipment is brand new. It’s actually affordable. It has everything you could ask for.

The only downsides are that some of the locker room lockers are a bit small (but they have some larger lockers to compensate for that), and the showers only have cheap hand soap and lack shampoo.

I cancelled my 3-year LA fitness membership after my first day here.

Been a member at LA Fitness’s signature club for the past 2 years. This Gym is 20x’s better, Very High quality equipment. Excellent outgoing staff, amazing amenities. I can literally go on and on.

Honestly one of the best experiences - met all of the staff and you can tell it’s not giving “grand opening” energy - that’s literally the vibe. Gym also smells like a brand new car and the layout, classes, everything is stacked. If you’re a Les Mills person, they offer the classes here!!! I’m transitioning from The Edge Fitness btw, which I love - however, this facility gives me everything I need, w/o having to fight for a machine/equipment and the hours are chef’s kiss. The facility is top tier and beyond hype to start training out of the Matteson location. Thank you so much Jonathan for assisting (ask for him if you end up stopping thru)!
