We have been attending classes for over 6 years and love Viking! Staff and teachers are amazing. Place was incredible before the expansion and now even better.

My kids just started here, and we are loving our experience so far! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The location itself is very clean and spacious. I appreciate how the instructors connect with the kids! They have plenty of space for parents to wait in, while kids are in class. They have bleachers so you can watch your kidsβ€”along with a semi private room with tables and chairs. For working parents is a great space to work while kids are doing their classes.

Vikings Gymnastics has been nothing but amazing for our 3 year old daughter. The one-year waitlist was absolutely worth it. The environment is very warm, welcoming, and truly focused on each child’s unique personality and needs. We love the recent remodeling, it’s such a game changer! Our daughter adores her instructors, Melissa and Mrs. Daniella, from Tiny Tots; they are both so kind, fun, and patient, and do an amazing job keeping the kids, especially our little mover, engaged and focused while making class enjoyable. We feel so lucky that Vikings Gymnastics was our first experience. We highly recommend it to anyone in the North Shore, Lincolnwood, Niles, Skokie, or Glenview area!

We were with Viking Gymnastics & Dance for several years, and while it started as a great experience, unfortunately, the quality of service has significantly declined. Training schedules were changed without prior notice, and our child was placed on a waitlist with no clear communication. When we raised concerns, we were told this was normal and that they 'don’t micromanage' β€” a frustrating and dismissive response.

What was once a well-run school now feels poorly managed, with little regard for loyal families. Sadly, it seems like they no longer value customer relationships, and we wouldn’t be surprised if they closed their doors without any warning. It’s disappointing to say goodbye, but we can no longer recommend this place.

Our 7 year old son has been coming to Viking for several years. He has sensory issues and can get overwhelmed and struggle with change. The coaches at Viking have always been so supportive, encouraging, and most importantly patient with him. Without their understanding and support we would have had to stop coming and our son would have missed out on so much. He is absolutely thriving in Boys Silver and we couldn't be happier.

Generally a good school. They do leverage demand in ignorant fashion.

For example, my son is right behind my daughter in age and although there is room in her class and he’s capable they can’t make an allowance so they can practice together.

Additionally, to keep my son occupied I bring a ball to just practice catch. Was told today we can’t play because someone might trip and break their ankle. I understand, at the same time it’s simply overdone. I could see if we were running up and down hallways to causing a ruckus, but there was plenty of room all over where this was incredibly low low risk.

Places that approach business in this fashion and want to make money from kids program don’t deserve a higher level review until they implement a kid friendly area for parents. The customer’s are the parents.

Amazing team. Shout out to the front desk staff for all their hard work and help. Mrs. Linda and Mrs. Michelle you are both absolutely amazing!!! Thank you for all your love and support to all the families. You are all truly one of a kind. Your kindness is inspirational and appreciated. Thank you for all the help you provided after my car dilemma in front of your gym.
These two beautiful woman stayed with me after hours to ensure me and my car made it home safely.

There truly should be more people like you in this world. Thank you so very much and for treating this stranger like part of the Viking family. You are all an amazing group. Mrs. Linda your act of kindness will never be forgotten. I encourage all families to come visit Viking and meet Mrs. Linda and Mrs. Michelle. They are a true representation of what Viking stands for and repesents. The staff are all absolutely great! My daughter absolutely loves gymnastics class and is learning so much from Coach Cindy who is yet another angel.

Thank you for the wonderful experience!

We have been coming to Viking since my son was 19months. This has always been a warm and welcoming place with the staff always learning families names and building last relationships. My son has a lot of medical needs and since he has had to transition to the independent tot classes, it has been a little difficult finding the perfect time and day. But ever since we did Our makeup classes on Friday Afternoon with Coach Sammy, my son is even more excited to come to class and I as a parent feel so comfortable with Coach Sammy being with him. No matter what even when the kids are everywhere, even my son since he is always extra hyper she manages to always make it a game and has a bright lightbulb on her. That I see her smiling always through and being positive with the kids. She has made our experience here at Viking even better and for my son he absolutely loves her classes!

The staff here is so sweet and amazing. They have big waitlist because they are great at what they do! Well worth the wait! Though...we have been here for a while now, couple months, and are very happy! Thank you staff for all you do for these kiddos. You can tell everyone who works here loves their job and its a family atmosphere. Nothing but positive vibes. At least that's my personal observation ☺️

The coaches are great and are amazing with kids. The front desk is very disorganized and it doesn't seem like they're all on the same page or communicate with each other. Their wait lists for class can be a little ridiculous too. Families with students already enrolled are supposed to get priority, but I didn't experience that.

I have 2 kids enrolled and have been with the gym for about 2.5 years now. I do not see how they differentiate between the tot levels besides age. My 3.5 year old is doing the same exact things she did in her class at 18 months. The only change is they run in a circle before stretching. All the tot classes work on the same skills and on the same equipment each week. All the skills that were taught at 18 months are the same skills theyre working on at 2 and 3 years old.

They also limit the classes you can use your makeups in. If all the tot classes are the same, why can't your child makeup in any tot class if there's a space?

We continue to go because my kids love their classes and their coach, but it'd be nice to see the tot program enhanced as well as the front desk being more thorough and helpful.

Highly do not recommend going here for open gym! My athletes went and were lied about the price and how the space can be used. My athletes had to pay 20 dollars when they were quoted 15 on the phone. When they arrived they were told that they didn’t have access to any of the equipment and to only practice in their skill level. I’ve truly never heard an open gym having those standards. Open gym is made for athletes to grow their skills away from practice while having access to all the equipment. They also started that the staff was very rude and not inviting. I highly recommend going to Cheer Destiny where it’s only a $10 fee, staff will be there to help with skills and you will have access to all equipment. If my athletes wanted to use a mat then they would’ve stayed at practice. They also signed a waiver so I don’t understand the reason for not having access to equipment when they agreed if they got hurt it won’t be the establishments fault. Viking Gymnastics enjoys stealing money from minors and is not in it for the athletes interest. Never go here if you wanna get robbed and stay in your skill level.

Hi I am not trying to rude, but as a person who was actually a student a few years ago I had I good experience here but, when all the other girls moved to level 2 I had to stay on level 1 and I didn’t know what I did wrong so I quitted but they where still charging my parents. My friend also said she had a bad experience here, again I am not trying to be rude I am just saying so you guys can be just a little better, and I wish you guys the best! ( and sorry if I made you guys mad )

I came for a kids night out and my daughter loved it. She said the coaches were extremely nice and helpful. I did rhythmic and artistic gymnastics as a kid and the only thing that I would recommend is rhythmic gymnastics. Rhythmic focuses on flexibility and I enjoyed it becasue i could do cool tricks with my flexibility. Even if it is only one or two classes in camp it would still be fun.

My daughter has been coming to this facility for a little over a month now and I can’t stress how amazing it is. I live 30 minutes away and don’t even mind the drive because of the treatment my daughter gets. My daughter needs a little extra help sometimes with directions and the coaches are patient and caring. I am so happy that I found this gem and cant wait to see how much she learns.

This place is great for kids. After searching for a good gymnastics place for about 6 months I am very thankful that I found Viking Gymnastics. The front desk is always nice and helpful. I am very impressed by the professionalism of their coaches. Specifically, I wanted to thank coach Aaron for everything he does. He is a professional who loves what he is doing, and knows how to approach kids. Thank you.

We joined Viking 7 months ago and couldn’t be happier. It is a very professionally run organisation which focuses on providing the best for its gymnasts. Coaches are kind, engaging and very knowledgable. The venue is spacious and clean, providing excellent equipment for their gymnasts, but also providing ample and pleasant seating options for parents (including rooms which are quieter where you can work/read).
I have two girls at Viking, one doing recreational gymnastics team (Gijo) and the other being on USAG. Both my girls are treated equally well and are given the same level of opportunities. They have both improved immensely since joining Viking.
Generally, I get the feeling that every gymnast is as important as the next, no matter the age, level, or time invested. There seem to be a large number of boys’ groups/teams too - which isn’t always the case at other gymnastics organisations.
If you’re looking for a well rounded gymnastics experience, Viking is the gym for you. Children not only learn gymnastics but are made to feel good about themselves and build confidence.

My kids fell in love with Viking during a summer camp. My daughter can't get enough. Coaches are great keeping kids i.e. like my son who really couldn't care about gymnastics stimulated and passionate enough to always have fun. And also children like my daughter who loves gymnastics continually challenged. The only complaint is it is very hard to schedule time slots for 2 kids together and it is very crowded. Surprisingly this does not effect the excellent level of instruction as there are many coaches and they are very good at rotating and coordinating all the simultaneous classes.

This gym is amazing! All of the equipment is kept clean and looks great. All of the coaches that I had while there were some of the best coaches that I've ever had. As a former gymnast on Viking's team, I can say that it has truly helped with my gymnastics career. Also, the open gym program at Viking is a great way to not only improve your skills, but to have fun! In the team program at Viking, you usually do tumble track only once or twice a month, so during open gym, it is a great idea to try and improve your tumbling on tumble track, so that by practice, you can eventually do it on floor! I would recommend Viking to anybody that is looking to change gyms, or anyone who wants to learn proper form. :)

Even one star is not too much for this place. Customer service is beyond horrible. Nobody follows waiting list, so if you put your child's name on the waiting list don't expect to be called and notified about openings. I addressed the issue with waiting list, when I realized they enrolled kids who weren't even on the waiting list , I called to ask why nobody let me know that there is opening for the class, they responded system is currently down we will call you back once it is back up and look into it. Never received a phone call back, so I decided to email them and express my frustration, my email was totally ignored. Please, don't waist your money and time on this place. I wish somebody warned me about it and I didn't have to waist my time coming in puting my child on the waiting list, calling multiple times to find out if anything opened up and get this in the end.

My experience was horrible! Me and my family went to open gym today but no one could go because no one was there. No coaches. Also when I sent my daughter there they put her in purple (first level) even though her friend was put in sliver (a level higher) but my daughter was teaching her friend. On her evaluation my all they had her to do was touch your toes and do a bridge (backbend from laying down) not a backbend which is the same but starting standing up. I believe that they were just filling up the classes. In purple they didn't do floor. Not even handstands. I pulled her out as soon as she told me. Not to mention the entrance smells disgusting like a person sweat to death. After I pulled her out she wanted to still do gymnastics so we went to American Turners Northwest Chicago. It was so much better. She enjoys it so much there. Smaller gym but 100% better.
