Absolutely amazing gym. So much equipment to use, absolutely no reason to be standing around. I went for the first time today and was warmly greeted by Tony, he showed me around and made sure my questions were answered and I got right to work. Everybody seemed very friendly and focused on their workout. The place was clean and you can tell that they put their heart and soul into the place. I HIGHLY recommend this gym if you're serious about your fitness, whether you're a newbie or an experience lifter, this place has it all. Can't wait to go back tomorrow for leg day!

Exquisite and the ultimate powerlifting gym. Modern and top quality machines, had fun training there while prepping for an upcoming meet. Worth the 45 minute drive. By far the best gym in the area. Yes it's a powerlifting/bodybuilding focused gym but as an D1 athlete I've never felt limited to that. I've been told by a lot of people that it's intimidating but anyone who has told me that and I've gotten to join the gym would say the same thing I'm about to say. Warhouse Barbell has tremendous potential, and I love the concept they offer. It’s a very attractive gym with inspiring decor. Additionally, being one of the few 24-hour gyms with reasonable prices is a significant advantage.

However, there are several areas where they could improve to provide a better experience for their users, especially during peak hours:

1. Space and Equipment: During peak hours, the gym feels too small for the number of people using it. It can be frustrating to find space and available equipment to train without having to wait long periods or interrupting others’ workouts. It would be excellent if they could expand the space and add more equipment to meet the demand.
2. Cardio Equipment: The lack of cardio equipment is another concern. Currently, there is only one treadmill that is barely functioning and an outdated stair climber. While I understand that they are just starting, adding more functional cardio machines would greatly enhance the gym’s appeal.

Overall, I really love the concept of Warhouse Barbell and appreciate their effort to provide a 24-hour gym with decent prices. However, to be taken seriously as a gym, they need to focus on growing the space and adding more equipment. While I currently go to Lifetime Fitness because Warhouse Barbell lacks these essentials, I would prefer to support a local gym that meets these needs. I hope to see these improvements soon and look forward to becoming a regular member.

Ive been training since I was 8 years old. I have also been competing for 15+ years. In my entire time training, I have never come across a gym that I have loved more than Warhouse. Truly the absolute best gym that Ive ever had the pleasure to call home. Perfect enviornment, equipment and ownership. They listen to and champion all their clients no matter how big or how small. I visited Warhouse barbell for the first time and I have to say, I’m in awe. What an incredible community of young athletes. Everybody was super welcoming yet also very focused on their performance. If you’re somebody who is serious or WANTS to be serious about power lifting, body building or weight training in general, this is THE spot for you. I was also very impressed with how cleanly it was and responsible everybody was as far as cleaning up after themselves, not something you see often these days.. great culture!

I’ve been lifting for 5 years and I’ve had to move gyms multiple times because I’ve never been comfortable or felt a sense of safety in regards to the social environment. But the moment I stepped into warhouse, I was immediately welcomed by the kind owners. Their number one priority are their members and their care & admiration for their members goes beyond what you’d expect. I’ve never been surround by so many supportive people and everyone can easily venture to pursue their own personal lifting aspirations. I know many gyms in the McHenry County area promote achieving goals, enhanced wellness, and guaranteed access but there’s always something that changes our impression of the gym at the end. Don’t get me wrong, there are many good gyms in the county but none like this one. At least from my experiences. At Warhouse Barbell I have not had those type of negative impressions. From the day I called and expressed my goals-what I was seeking from a gym, I have not been disappointed. Signing up is quick and easy. No games, everything is reasonable and transparent. I’ve visited crossfit gyms, commercial gyms, even smaller local gyms, the equipment and structure this gym provides is by far the most impressive and well maintained. The owners are always there and willing to share advice and suggestions for goals members are looking to accomplish. Members at the gym are always motivating and encouraging others with their goals or sets they’re actively working on. There are truly incredible people who visit this gym who are passionate about lifting. You will always meet a friendly face at the gym who is there to put in work and share support. I entered Warhouse with minimal experience lifting and both owners stood by their word and provided helpful advice so I had proper form and I was able to accomplish a goal I was not sure I could achieve in such a short amount of time. I eventually passed a POWER Test (agility test) with the best results I’ve seen for myself by following one of the fitness plans they recommended in just 30days. No lie. Everything is reliant on the effort we put in for ourselves to make these goals a reality.I truly can say walking into this gym I found the feeling of excitement to go back each time never fading away. The culture at the gym is amazing, especially with the respect everyone shows each other. If you’re looking to achieve goals, put in work, and have access to a well maintained powerlifting/bodybuilding training gym 24hrs, this is it.

You will never find a better gym than Warhouse Barbell. I’ve lived in this town my whole life, and I mean it when I say this is the best thing that ever happened to Huntley. This is my first gym, so before I joined I thought I would be very anxious, but I was so wrong. I immediately felt welcomed and respected by the community created here. At Warhouse, you’re always surrounded by inspiring people who motivate you to keep training harder and achieve things you never thought possible. People I’ve met here have pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me see my potential in powerlifting which I never thought I would do. Apart from the community, Anthony and DJ are always working hard to maintain the condition of the gym as well as making it even better. Overall this facility provides a great lifting environment for those who train to compete in the sport of powerlifting or just become the best they can be in general. If you live in the Mchenry County area and you’re an intermediate/ advanced lifter or have significant experience in the gym and you’re not a member at Warhouse Barbell..I would seriously make sone changes. There’s no other gym in the area and arguably in the state that comes close to emulating the atmosphere and energy Warhouse provides. It’s the perfect mixture of hardcore but also supportive and encouraging. The equipment is up to standard, fairly spacious and the hygiene and cleanliness is taking very seriously. If you're serious about weight training, do yourself a favor and come to Warhouse Barbell. My experience in strength training spans around 30 years in nearly every aspect. I've been a student (my first Bachelor's degree is in Kinesiology/Exercise Science), a national level competitor in Strongman, a trainer, coach, and treating physician at state and national powerlifting meets. I even managed a local franchise location of an international gym corporation. I've been a member of several gyms over the years, from local and national chains to mom & pop hardcore gyms. I finally built my fully loaded garage gym a few years ago to rival most others because of my dissatisfaction with was being offered. And I still choose to be a member of Warhouse. The equipment is top notch. The owners/staff are some of the nicest and most approachable people you'll ever be blessed to meet. The entire atmosphere is focused around helping you achieve your strength goals. Best gym in the area!

Awesome gym. I was in Hampshire for a week and very happy I found this place. Very helpful folks, lots of equipment and a decent sized crowd. Enough people to make you feel like getting in that extra rep but not too many to where you’re waiting forever.

I can't begin to say enough about the integrity for 2/3 guys that fixed my flat tire Weds/Thur. night on the corner of Alq Rd and Rt.47. (DJ & Anthony) With no hesitation, great attitude, they came to my aid. After they were done putting on my spare tire, I wanted to give them something for they're kindness....., Of course they refused! (Don't ever believe theres not GOOD people in this world)
One of the guys gave me his business card., I think one of the owners to Warhouse Barbell. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the business..., however if the companies business ethics is as genuine as their compassion for a total stranger
