There's so much potential for improvement & instead they've been investing in fruitless endeavors.

Westwood Gym built an athlete training room. I'd estimate Westwood spent well over $100k building 1 new room with equipment & there's only 1 trainer to my understanding for all clients they also charge clients by the hr.

Training room is always locked & it's almost never used in comparison to the rest of the gym🤷🏽‍♂️.

Huge waste of resources\space!
In contrast, the wellness center is constantly full of clients.
You can call for sauna reservation at 12-1pm & no availability until next day bc it fills up fast especially during winter.

Gym should've made another wellness center since it's always busy, instead of the training room that's used maybe 3hrs each day.
Or they could've made a rock climbing room with automatic belayer & charged for the service because the closest rock climbing center is in Chicago 100 miles away. Bringing in people from Iowa & surrounding cities.
Instead they put in something over 99% of members can't use.🤦🏽‍♂️

😁 That being said this is still by far the best gym I've ever been to!
I've spoken to many & nobody has even seen other gyms that can compare in the US or even other countries. It's huge!
There's so much to do! Staff is always cleaning, putting things away, or helping in some way.

Open 24hrs most days, swimming pool at another location also included w\ membership, boxing center, children's play area, pickle ball, tennis, basketball, track, soccer field, ninja course, running ramp wall, wallyball, tons of machines with free weights, cross fit classes free included, wellness center: infrared sauna therapy, spray tan, hydro massage bed, compression therapy all included with membership!🔥

I wish all gyms were like this!

We played pickleball at Westwood Fitness. The tournament was well run, and the courts were perfect. There was plenty of space between courts, and there were barriers between courts, so balls didn't roll onto other courts and interfere with play.

Best fitness facility in the area. It has everything you need to get in shape. My only issue is that I barely see anyone cleaning and sanitizing the restrooms. A few times I have went and someone brushed their hair left it in the sink and it was there for at least 3 days before it was removed. I came in today on 5/2 and there’s hair all over the floor I left hit the treadmill and came back someone had mopped all over the floor without even sweeping up the hair. For $45/month I expect the facilities to be maintained a little bit better.

Really good gym for this area. My only critique is there is not one standing calf machine in the entire complex. Yet, many machines for every other body part.

This is a beautiful facility, the staff are friendly but untrained on the computer system. Reservations for specific areas get messed up, and I'm guessing the computer program is a bit glitchy. Even so, own up to the issue, don't make excuses and DO not blame the guest. Research your system and if there is someone who knows what was done, keep your opinions to yourself and let them handle it. It only angers people, especially if they didn't create the problem, and I normally keep very calm. Accept responsibility for an error, even if it is not your own, and fix it rather than leaving people wait past their start times. If I lived closer, even though there isn't a pool, I would get a membership, even with this being said.

Sterling Park District keeps this jewel of a sports facility current and relevant. They now have a juice and sport drink bar. For children and adults alike. I watch my grandchildren participate in their selected activities. Baseball, tennis, track, basketball, volleyball and many more. Love this place.

This place has the best staff, incredible People working out there, and state of the art equipment. They have many teaching rooms, A room with excellent sports performance equipment, a fantastic cardio section, an incredibly diverse series of weight machines, and excellent free weights. The new powerlifting room will be beyond excellent. Every time I come to Sterling I go here. It is nice to have such excellent leader ship there at everyone’s service. This gym is the bomb.

We rented a batting cage for an hour, had never been there before. When we got there to check in,
the receptionist was on the phone for the first 20 minutes. So, no problem, still 40 minutes left. The only problem was, that no one working knew how to set up the batting machine, so we didn't get to play at all. The place looks very nice though.

Main fitness complex has many areas including treadmills, weight machines, aerobic room with classes, a Ninja Warrior area, basketball, 200-meter indoor track, and football/soccer field. The fitness area is large and is split-level; aerobic machines and free weights on upper floor and specific body machines on lower-level. There are many programs and classes that are offered during the seasons. The bathrooms and locker rooms are updated and nice. There is parking here. There is a small fee for a drop-in (if not a member) to use the fitness area or track area. There are membership options as well. The fitness area can be more crowded during busier times of day. This complex offers two other buildings-one for tennis and pickleball and one for basketball, wrestling, and volleyball games/tournaments. Not a bad place to get a workout in or try a class.
