Admittedly, I am a novice when it comes to Taekwondo. But as a former professional ballet dancer, I knew exactly what to look for as far as environment/instruction for my precocious and energetic 3 year-old. In all sincerity, I was blown away by Master Williams. I have never in my life witnessed a group of such young children listen to someone so intently, and with such reverence. Master Williams epitomizes “firm, but kind”: he is patient and gentle, yet encourages these children to push beyond their comfort zone - planting the invaluable seeds of perseverance, respect, confidence and discipline. I can not recommend Xcellent Taekwondo and Master Williams enough! My 5 year old has been in classes for a year, while my 4 year old was not quite ready to join in consistently until spring. Master Williams and his instructors were so great with helping my 4 year old warm up to class. My kids confidence has skyrocketed through taekwondo classes with Master Williams and his instructors. I always knew I wanted to put my daughter in classes but I wasn’t sure when to start. I did a lot of research and we decided on giving this place a try. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION. My daughters 5 and started roughly 5 months ago and the amount of growth I’ve seen from her is incredible. She’s learning how to defend herself the right way, her confidence has sky rocketed, and even her self control has improved so much. Master Williams is AMAZING. This place is incredible, I have a 9 (Victoria) and 5 (Gia) year old girls there for approximately 5 months, my 9 year old is very shy, she didn't even want to speak out loud and now she is very confident, She even joined her school choir, that level of confidence she has now… and I love the way Master Williams recognizes their effort at every step and makes them both feel that they can do everything, they are happy, they never want to miss a class, If my daughters are happy I am happy too.

At XTC, the focus is not merely on physical strength. There is heavy focus on mental and emotional strength and well being. The entire team, lead by Master Williams, are role models that help further instill values of respect and courtesy for self and others! My daughter was so shy when she started but she radiates confidence and self esteem and I know that taekwondo and XTC have played a major part in this. Both my husband and daughter joined almost a year ago and, thanks to a challenge, I have recently started. This has been the most challenging, yet rewarding experience and I’m only a few weeks in. We the parents of Natalie, are very happy to find this very special taekwondo school, Master Williams is a very wonderful person with high morals and skills, we are very glad he and his team of instructor's are the ones to teach our daughter, he and his team are wonderful to interact with and are very thoughtful, nice and respectful.

My 7-year-old grandson has been going to Xcellent for a short time now and I would just like to say how excited I am. He truly loves the activity and seems to embrace the discipline as well. I had a good opportunity to speak with Master Williams today. I was already impressed with the structure and skill he and his team showed just from watching my grandson in class. Our conversation today made me realize how passionate Master Williams is about his teaching and how invested he and his team are in everyone who participates in the many classes they offer. If I had known XTC existed when my son started taekwondo I would have absolutely chosen to take him there from the beginning. Coach Williams, from the moment I met him, has been genuine and caring, and real; and this is why we switched to XTC, traveling an hour to get there. Coach Williams and the team at XTC immediately made my son and my whole family feel welcome, and helped rebuild my son's love for taekwondo. He took a break during the pandemic, and chose to go back on his own because he missed the team and coach Williams. We will forever consider them family. As a coach he is well known and liked and is a genuine individual. I am happy to see his school grow, which is happening at astounding speed, which is a testament to his dedication because we are still in a pandemic and despite that his school is growing. He handles each of his athletes in a way that works for that athlete; which is a skill that not a lot of coaches possess. I highly recommend XTC.

Master Williams is a veteran coach with years of experience training athletes and molding them into champions. He focuses on each atheletes' strengths and adapts to how they learn. He is calm but firm in his approach when working with his athletes. He encourages open communication and ensures that there is understanding between coach, athletes and parents.
