do not join this club. they are a bunch of liars with their hand out for money. they want a $200 sign up fee and even if its $0 to sign they still take it out at a later date and re-classify it as something else. once you complete your one year agreement they take out an enhancement fee at the 12 month mark because they know people like to cancel after they complete their agreement. the cancellation process is a nightmare. you are not allowed to cancel until your year is up and you have to submit a notice in person 30 days before your cancellation is official during which they will take out two more payments within that time frame.

The gym is clean, open and spacious. I personally love the red light therapy bed- and there are towels and cleaner beside the bed, so I can make sure it’s clean before and after I use it.

I have been working with the trainer Jordan since February and I have progressing to my goals well. She has always motivated me and had workouts that are challenging but good for my physical conditioning level at that point at time. I had certain goals I wanted to obtain but through her workout plan I have achieved other things I did not know were just as important. I am still working to my goals and have a long way to go but I have a great trainer that I believe I can reach them with!

I’ve worked with two trainers at the Avon location: Brandon and Jordan. They have both been excellent! Very thorough in understanding my goals and limitations, and helping me achieve those goals without hurting myself in the process. The manager, Nicole, is friendly, helpful and keeps things running smoothly. The location was recently updated/remodeled and they keep it clean and well-maintained. I have been enjoying group fitness with Jordan. I will soon be on medicare so may need to change to a gym that offers silver sneakers classes, but am hoping anytime in Avon will be able to offer these classes to help those of us on a fixed budget the option for free classes

This place has undergone some updates in recent years the anytime fitness in this general area appears to be coming under new and improved ownership and management and it shows the place is cleaner the equipment is updated repairs and renovations made it's still got a cozy atmosphere that's inviting not so packed like other commercial gyms where you can't get out of each other's way fast enough here there seems to usually be a few people but I've yet to see it over crowded in the morning or night which is a great change of pace the gym seems to focus on the strength equipment which is nice the cardio machines are good tho everything you need is here and I've got alot more faith in the new management the place is doing good and seems to be getting better over time

Great gym. I have been working out there for many years, much more consistently the last 2 years. Over the years, the facility has added several additional pieces of useful equipment. The staff is competent, helpful and friendly. The gym is always well maintained. The only suggestion I would make is to replace the worn vinyl on the Nautilus equipment more frequently.

Great gym for me. When I first joined Brandon gave me a tour - introduced me to the various amenities - helped me through some initial exercises. Since then, by my choice, I have worked pretty much on my own but when I do have questions the staff is always ready and willing to help. They greet me by name. And the ability to come and go as my schedule permits, 24x7, is priceless. Highly recommended.

This club is SHADY! I was a member back in 2019. I signed up a month to month agreement with Steve and after a few months decided to upgrade to another gym with more amenities. Unfortunately I never saw Steve or any member of management after I signed up. After multiple calls, texts, visits with no avail I was forced to file a dispute and stop payment with my bank. Funny thing was after the first month of a successful stop payment, Steve called me! There was some back and forth but. I told him I no longer wanted to be a member. He gave me his word no further action was needed and apologized for the inconvenience.

Now 5 YEARS LATER, their debt collector is contacting me asking for a $100 settlement. I’ve tried to contact this club 25+ times over the past week and have contacted the corporate office escalating the matter to the regional manager. I was promised a call back. Never happened.

I’ve reported this club to BBB and will NOT be paying this low-life money grab!

We have been charged four times outside of the contractual time and have not heard back from anyone after leaving multiple messages. This is now over $200 outside of the 3 month contract after confirmation of cancelation of the contract. We are still waiting for someone to contact us, and this is after we were persuaded to remain signed up but on pause. We were told we would be called before charges began again, but as previously stated, no has called us. Got one text asking about "being back in the gym", and then we were charged the next day without giving any confirmation. For three weeks, outside of the contract....
If someone from management could please reach out, we would really appreciate it.

Anytime Fitness has a disgustingly predatory business model. I was locked into an 18 month contract for 50$/month with no ability to cancel. Not to mention the extra fees they add on. There is a reason they do not have their prices advertised anywhere on their website. It's a scam. 50$ a month got me terribly outdated and minimal gym equipment. When my contract was about to expire, I had asked to have my contract auto-renew. Well lo-and-behold, after my "final payment" I was charged again and turns out I was being charge monthly. They did not refund my payment and they ended up making me pay another payment to cancel. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE. THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF SCAMMING. I'm sure the owner/manager are nice people, but they are employed by Anytime Fitness to SCAM PEOPLE. I understand that I signed and agreed to the contract. I accept that responsibility. But I am writing this review to warn others of these predatory Business Practices. I have since got a gym membership at VASA Fitness where you can pay 10$ for a membership and there are NO CONTRACTS required. It is month-to-month. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

If you follow their website you will read “state-of-the-art equipment”. The equipment in this facility might have been state-of-the-art 20 years ago, but no one is re-investing the peoples money into this gym. I was a member for a month and the contract states under the cancellation policy no more than 25% of the contracted price for cancellation. I was demanded 50% of my contract to cancel. This is a very shady business that is overpriced and looking to take your money when you’re not satisfied. Highly recommend staying far from this place. But, do as you will.

Great gym, owner keeps it clean and it isn't crazy busy when I go which helps during pandemic. Masks are requested when you enter and leave gym but not required during exercising. Personal trainer is knowledgeable and helps if you have any questions. Lot of different options for weight training and functional training. I'm not in love with all the equipment but there is an alternative option in most cases. Every time I go, I like it better!

Not very happy with this location. Steve signed up my 15 and 16 year old with “student” memberships and told them that it wasn’t a contract and they could opt out at any time. They didn’t have to get my permission, signature or anything. Then, Steve had them give him their debit card information that they receive their pay from their jobs on so that the membership fees would come out of them. My son ended up with $60 in late fees out of his very hard earned money and Steve says he cannot do anything about the fees because they don’t have anything to do with the payments. I call their financial company who handles the contracts and payments, but they state they can only speak to my son because he signed the contract. I don’t have time to go in circles about this. My son is a minor! Is this even legal?

Where do I start? I was in the market to find a gym. I decided to look into Anytime Fitness. I finally went in to meet with Steve, the manager. He showed me around the place and it was a little intimidating with all the “meatheads” in there. After my brief tour Steve asked me into his office to discuss options. I was still unsure about joining. I purposely left all my money,credit cards, and check book at home as I give in to pressure too easily. Steve even joked that that was a smart move! Anyway, he told me that I could think about it and get the fees that were needed to start to him on Friday. This was a Tuesday. He had me sign the paperwork (my idiotic fault) and he ASSURED me that this was not a contract! On that Friday I left a message(my 2nd idiotic mistake) that I would not be joining. I thought all was fine. 2 weeks ago I receive an email from Steve saying they will send my account to collections unless I join and I need to pay $75 for the start up fee plus an additional $25 admin fee for 2017 AND another $25 fee for 2018!!! I emailed him asking for owner contact information and his response was “come in and we will discuss the options”. I’m not sure what to do now. I feel like I am being bullied into joining this gym!

The gym is clean and has pretty much anything you'd need to get a workout regardless of your goals. Staff is responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Other than during the peak evening times between 6-9 PM I've never really had to wait for anything, and the other members are usually very friendly and willing to let someone work in. I've been working out here for a few months now. I love the atmosphere here! The staff is fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and great to talk to and work with. They also know how to push you to get that last rep or two without being jerks about it. The place is clean and the equipment is great too. The TVs are a bit wonky, but I never use them anyhow. A lot of group and personal training options are available to fit a variety of scheduling and personal needs. I'm glad I signed up here, and I will gladly pay a little more to be here.

They are not very understanding people AT ALL!!! They don't cancel or freeze your membership when you ask them too. They will just continue to bill you until you change your credit card information. Then, they will proceed to send you to collections. They also do not call or send you anything in the mail to INFORM YOU that you have payments past due. Which, I shouldn't have had any considering I asked my membership to be frozen when I was five months pregnant and didn't find out until after I had my baby and tried to go back, that they had sent everything to collections. I will NEVER step foot in that Anytime Fitness again. The one in Brownsburg is a lot nicer and customer service is WAY better. They also do not send you to collections. My friend was in a two year contract with Brownsburg and they let her cancel after 6 months, no cancellation fees, no sending her to collections. Avon location is a little more hard up for the money and members. But don't seem to care as much about their clients. Very disappointing.

Enjoyed my membership UNTIL I advised the gym that I would not be able to continue using my membership. My initial request to cancel was through my personal trainer which was ignored. Although I ceased using my membership before the fees were due in Dec, I did not mind paying my fees for December as a 30 day notice seemed reasonable. I spoke with Joe by telephone (and email) after fees were again deducted from my back account in January and he assured me that he would freeze my account and credit me for a month of service when I resumed my membership (probably Sept or Oct of 2015). Just got to a computer with internet and discovered that the fees were again deducted in February! Just called the club again and got no answer...looks like I will have to contact my bank and find out how to block their continued direct debit payment requests!!! GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR DIRECT DEBIT INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
