I love the amount of equipment they have in camby compared to the martinsville location, but the tanning beds in camby really need some updating!! They are old, bulbs are out or going out, fans don't work, and they are dirty inside and cracked and have broken buttons. As a member I love to tan before my workout and hate to have to go to martinsville for tanning then camby for the equipment. Can we please update the tanning beds in camby?? 🥴🙏🏼

It’s a small gym without much to say about it. Dakota was super friendly and helpful when signing up for my membership, the facility is clean, they’ve got all the machines and weights you could want, and the place is open 24 hours so you can get your workout in whenever it’s slow. I highly recommend going between 7pm and 5am because that’s when it seems slowest. If you prefer a more social gym environment you’d probably be happier going in the early morning or right about 5pm.

I’m writing to express my frustration with the current state of the tanning beds at your facility. As a customer who pays an additional fee for this amenity, I expect a much higher standard of cleanliness and equipment quality. Unfortunately, the tanning beds are in poor condition. They are outdated and the bulbs clearly need to be replaced. The overall cleanliness is also lacking, and it’s clear that the beds have not been thoroughly maintained or properly cleaned in a long time.
Several reviews from customers, dating back years, have mentioned the same issues, yet no substantial changes seem to have been made. This ongoing neglect is extremely disappointing, especially for those of us who are paying extra for the service. It feels unfair to be charged an additional fee when the beds provided are subpar.
I sincerely hope this feedback will prompt an update and proper maintenance of the tanning equipment to ensure a cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable experience for all customers.

Equipment is falling apart. I've had parts break and fall while I am on the machines. Management doesn't respond or do as they promise. They make it impossible to to not renew into another contract. You have to certify mail the request 30 days before the renewal. Absolutely the worst gym I have ever been to. The upkeep doesn't exist and whoever is running it is doing a awful job. I haven't been in six months because I was concerned for my safety and it's out of the way since I moved. I have been trying to get my address updated since March and no one will do it. Absolutely ridiculous.

My family has been calling since November of 2021 about a contract that ended in February of 2022 had to leave country for work orders and they have been charging me every month and they don’t want to help me it is now October of 2023 it is a scam and they just want your money and telling us how we never cancelled yet the lady we spoke to before general area manager she recalled the previous times we tried to cancel. They will do anything to not validate your cancelation don’t waste your money or time. We didn’t have this issue with another location to cancel only this one. Went into inquire about pricing for membership and personal training in thr Camby location. The front desk clerk did not know about pricing and the trainer was brought over to me and was incredibly rude - I still never got a straight answer. I have never experienced anything quite like that in my entire life. Don't waste your money or time (at this location at least). Check other local, small gyms in the area.

I want to say the staff is amazing! They always have your back! The manager, Daniel, alerted me to some negative reviews of the gym designed to humiliate and discredit me. Knowing that I have a protective order against a very mentally disturbed individual, he wanted me to use precautions to protect myself as this violates that order. He was very understanding and, because I've been a member for 8 years, he knows my work out routine, and since the gym is under 24 hr video surveillance, its very to verify that information. He knows I rarely speak to anyone, and being a lesbian in a committed relationship, I especially dont approach men. I am respectful to every member, and if a member has an issue, he/she will get more resolution going to the manager than creating false reviews simply to attack someone's character as it is childish and not at all how adults solve their problems. To me, that's excellent customer service and confirms that I'll be a member until they close the doors!!

READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY!!! As my wife and I are trying to save for a house and would rather save the $150 monthly and go to a cheaper gym, THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL. Terrible scheme to get in. Also with the fees they hit you with, the bathrooms are hardly ever cleaned and out of order most of the time. I moved from Camby to Lafayette and we don’t have an anytime fitness here in Lafayette, so I emailed the Camby location to cancel my membership per contract and they wanted proof I moved. Ok.. I love this place. It’s low traffic, so not much waiting times for equipment. The facility is clean and well kept. However, there needs to be a couple machines replaced. The lat pull down station is horrible. And there are only 2 cable stations so if your one of those people who do 30 minutes worth of cable workouts it makes you feel bad cause there isn’t much else there. There needs to be better stations for racking your plates because that part is a nightmare. Overall it’s a great place to train and not be bothered.

Their contract did not allow customers to void because of covid. Even though many were quarantined most of 2020, that was not a valid enough reason to void. I will not be renewing my contract come this year when it ends.
For those looking to sign up, keep in mind:
1. there is no way to get out of it unless you move 40 miles away from any locations. Or if you have a severe disability and bundles of proof of the disability.
2. You will be automatically charged a double fee twice a year. Once in April I believe and once in November.
3. The staff will be super extra friendly for the most part until you want to leave, then be prepared for attitude and back talk.

Again, I dont recommend at all- especially if you're just starting to try the gym out. Find something you dont need a contract for.

Love the gym but there is 1 female trainer that is very rude while training multiple members at the same time she always plays on her phone and has each member she is training using 3-5 machines/pieces of equipment and will not allow other members to use those for long intervals of time. I have heard her on more than 1 occasion talking with her trainee about another member in a very unethical and unprofessional way. The facility is fine, never had to wait for any free weights, plenty of machines for people that like those, relatively clean, weird bathrooms but well kept.

The two stars however is purely a result of the staff. My mother is at pretty high risk of dying if she contracts covid-19. There aren't any sure fire ways to make sure she is safe on the horizon, so my parents decided they wouldn't be able to safely go to a gym anytime in the next few months at least. They brought these concerns to the staff hoping to work something out, and brought up the fact that if they have health concerns, their contract provides the ability to leave their membership. The first staff member wasn't very helpful and seemed a bit unhappy my parents didn't want to continue their membership. They asked to bring their concerns to someone that might be able to do something about their predicament and the employee was pretty peeved about it which was shocking because I have only had good experiences with the guy. They were able to get in touch with a supervisor that was more professional, but assured them that my mothers health concerns with covid were not valid health concerns and that they wouldn't be allowing my parents to void their contract.

I understand everyone is under economic strain right now, gyms included. That said, my families health and ability to continue living is not something we are not willing to gamble on. The people that go to this location aren't required to wear masks and what not, and I don't blame them if they don't, but it does make it a pretty high risk environment for my mom. My parents will be paying out their contract, but won't be returning to that gym. They are really nice and averse to confrontation, so I feel really unhappy that these guys gave them such a hard time, on top of refusing to acknowledge the risk to my mothers life.

I love the place. It's always clean and management is extremely nice. I go at all hours because of my work schedule and it has made all the difference in my workouts. There are some times of the day when you are finally ready to work out and you need a gym to be open. Have been a member for two and a half years. I thought I knew everything about this gym until reading the reviews. Who the hell is Meghan. I've never seen anyone fitting that description there. If you want a friendly gym to enjoy at your leisure this is the place. I travel and it's extremely handy to have an Anytime Fitness nearby. A quick Google Maps search will show you typically two or three Anytime Fitness Gyms wherever you're heading.

The Camby Anytime Fitness has been my gym of choice for over two years. I've worked out at other gyms but the Camby Anytime Fitness is my favorite. The location is very convenient for me, they have the equipment that I like to use and if there is something we want that isn't available, there is now a suggestion forum to hear what members want and then vote in new equipment. All of the trainers are personable. The club manager, Daniel, is always friendly, helpful, professional, and high-energy. This is the first gym I have ever belonged to and the last one too!!!! I love the atmosphere, people, and staff! It's always clean and tidy! There are no "muscle" men or "cutie" woman to have to worry about......we are just one big happy family!!! Daniel is an excellent motivator and manager!
