My overall experience with this establishment was pretty decent, at least until I got asked if I wanted to try personal training because I had asked about it. It seems like I felt a little bit of pressure when I was asked about this, while being visually impaired I couldn't really read the terms of the contract. I ended up sticking with it until the contract was up, oe of the employees at the time then pressured me to sign up for another year. Then when it seemed like I absolutely couldn't afford it anymore I tried canceling it, and they seemed like they would help me out but said that I couldn't cancel the membership at all and needed $200 to cancel the training. Then I froze my account and before the freeze ended I was charged early which had never happened. This review was only for cancelation problems. I do think the place is a great place to workout, and great trainers, and very clean place.

Started a gym membership with my husband at this facility. I'm a full-time caregiver of my brother who is mentally disabled. I tried to bring my brother with me to the gym (he typically goes with me everywhere) unaware that our policy was not 2 people at a time but, Michael ONLY and a guest. Was approached very rudely, by the staff and told if my brother wasn't going to "work out", I would have to pay $10 a day on top of a new membership to let him stretch with me.

I understand policy rules and liability, I don't like how we were approached so disrespectfully with a "pay or leave" type of aggression. They also dismissed my explanation of confusion to try to convince me to spend double the amount biweekly.

Facility is dirty, showers are poorly kept. Definitely not worth the money. For a small town, I did not expect such a great lack of quality customer service. Will definitely be looking for a nicer gym ASAP.

CAUTION!!!! I joined over 2 years ago and wanted to cancel my membership. I have been put through ignored phone calls, sending certified letter and text messages to cancel my membership. They are still continuing to charge me and seems from other reviews this is a reoccurring issue. Unless you want to continue paying for something you do not need, as they are ignoring all my attempts to cancel, feel free to join. This is by far this worst club. I walked into another club to see how to cancel and was told that this should not be such an issue to cancel. I have even emailed the head person over this area and was told once I sent the certified letter this should be resolved. Per my bank account it has not. If you feel the need to WASTE your money on services you no long need use this club.

Does not feel clean. Bathroom/shower rooms definitely not cleaned daily. Also showers don't drain well. Trash often seen throughout the space.

Way too expensive for what you’re getting. $27 every two weeks!! No energy. No one working there is in shape. Can’t cancel unless you move or have a medical doctor sign off. Not to mention a “gym upgrade fee” every six months or so. Don’t waste your time and money with this place.

Will never give this place a single penny again. Very dissatisfied with the staff and policies. Used the membership 4 times within the first 2 weeks or so of having the membership then got divorced and had to move. Busy paying attorney fees and putting my life back together. Where I live now it’s like a 35 minute drive to get to one so I tried to cancel. Was politely told to get screwed essentially. Been paying for something I can’t use and won’t forget. Whatever service they use for payments is very very poor. The provider for that service is almost impossible to get ahold of. Supposedly you can pay online but never could find the way to pay online like 99.9% of any other business I’ve ever had any type of subscription through or owed money too. The website the payment servicer uses looks like an elementary student made it. The fact that once you miss a payment they take away the ability to pay online on purpose is probably the most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard of. I will always advise everyone to never visit an anytime fitness if asked, especially this particular location in new castle.

I see the response to reach out. Don’t bother unless I’m going to get my payments refunded for the months and months I’ve been paying and haven’t been able to use the membership due to sudden life changing event.

The trainers at the New Castle AF are simply amazing! I have never been more motivated to reach my fitness goals. The atmosphere is perfect, the gym is always clean, and I get an amazing workout every single time I go. They have plenty of equipment and plenty of space! It's the best gym I've been at ever!

John, the manager of this Anytime Fitness, is GREAT. This facility is clean, well maintained, and offers a ton of different cardio equipment, free weights, and machines. This is a great place to workout.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for a long time and they do not want to cancel my account because where I live they have 4 gyms, they necessarily want to make you part of them, I spoke to the manager I spoke to John and they do not want to cancel the account. They keep charging and charging, I asked them to charge the fine to cancel and they don't want to, they just want to charge you the monthly payment, thieves

Staff was so friendly, I can't remember his name but was very professional and made me feel right at home. I went in tonight and got a good work out with some dumb bells, and an awesome cycling machine/game ig. It was amazing I had a whole mile done very fast because of the game I was playing. They had about everything you could think of too work out with. If your looking too get into shape in a very nice place with a friendly atmosphere+ more? Then look no further, I'm telling you this is your place, plus, it's open 24/7. Can't beat that! Thanks A.F.!!!

Called canceled my account then I’ve kept being billed I called again because I was laid off from my job to let them know I needed to cancel they charged my account 4 more times so I called today and now there telling me they can’t cancel it for another month so my account is going to keep being charged until there able to cancel the account on there side which is ridiculous. 2nd most of there machines are destroyed or broken and they charge u $100 fee every 6 months to pay for new machines but obviously never have any seriously one of the worst places I’ve been to. The YMCA is cheaper and has a lot better equipment. I’m ready for my account to be canceled so I can just be done with this place

It was great til we stopped going and needed to cancel membership. Stopped going in May 2021, handed in keys, could never catch mgr to get cancelled. Since then? They have been trying to keep charging us and bill collectors are now calling ME despite ME never being the 1 paying for the memberships??!! Cant seem to get their paperwork straight and wont cancel when you clearly asked them a million times and no longer go. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM!

Incredible staff but I also have been taken in by the trainer trap. When I was signing up all I wanted was a membership in order to spend some time with my Brother who works out there. I admit I thought it was high but I thought the few hundreds I was spending was an initial fee so I hung with it then upon carefully reading the fine print I learned the training fee was 100 every other week. Omg I care solely for my autistic Brother. I have his medical bills, mortgage, electric, water not to mention my own bills.There is no human way possible for me to pay that fee and my Family and their needs take precendence. I was SHOCKED!!! Also my work schefule does not allow me to come many times during the time the trainer is available. I have been so heartsick for a very long time over all of this.

It's my own opinion but as a bodybuilder not my type of gym... they blast the music sometimes so loud sometimes I can hear it over my own music in my headphones. I was training with some high waisted leggings and a crop top on and one of the females whi worked there told me I had to put a shirt on, which I did have a shirt on. Also I find the some of the staff to be immature. They wrestle around the gym, talking super loud at times, cuss in front of clients, and sometimes not talking kindly of clients they "train" when they're not around. All in all I just find it very unprofessional and immature. Will not be returning when my contract is up. In the mean time the Richmond anytime is AMAZING 😊

The gym is nice ... But they run a complete scam with how they work there trainer program! The place is totally about there bottom line ! They took me for $1600 of services that I never received .
