I recently joined Anytime Fitness in Sellersburg and I have to say, the experience has been outstanding so far. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well equipped, everything you’d expect and more.

A big part of what makes it such a great experience is the new General Manager, Michael. He’s professional, approachable, and clearly passionate about both fitness and helping members succeed. I recently attempted to transfer my home gym (Jeffersonville, which closed unexpectedly with no notice) to this gym. I came in, filled out the paperwork, was given a temporary fob and told my original fob would work in a week or two. Three weeks later it still wasn’t working, which I only discovered at 7am when staff wasn’t present and I had to turn around and go back home. I called in later and explained the situation. I was told they’d have to call to find out where my membership was at in the transfer process. I was told I’d get a call back in a day or two. I didn’t, so I called back in and was told I’d have to come in and sign up for a new membership. Tedious, but okay. I went there the next day, a Thursday, around 11am but no staff was present and the guest entrance was locked. I called and no one picked up. The hours on the door say staff will be there at 10am. I’ve used this gym because it’s closest to me but have decided to take my business elsewhere. Not having staff present to assist customers makes it difficult to retain customers. I wish this gym luck with the renovations, I know it has struggled in the past. I may eventually reconsider if and when the place is staffed consistently when it says it’ll be staffed.

Compact but complete. Was staying in town short term at an Airbnb and found this gym very convenient. Management was willing to help a few out of towners get day passes for our workouts.

I’d recommend this place to locals and visitors alike whether you’re looking for a quick workout or looking for a serious lift, this gym is very well equipped and can satisfy pretty much any need.

actually, got on here and complained about how much this place has continued to go downhill. After posting pictures of major issues with the gym, I came back in that following week, and they had FINALLY started the renovation. Now they have actual mirrors instead of the shiny film paper. New paint and they posted what the final renovation look will be. I must say i am happy that this group of owners has taken the time to look at our many issues. This place will be a really nice gym once this is said and done with. If you have went here in the past and left due to lack thereof, you should 100% check it out again.

Drew (General Manager) was great. Very personable and informative. I signed for the 7 day trial and worked out after signing all of the documents. The equipment I used showed some wear but in working order. The bathrooms could be cleaner and trash can in front was full to the top. Overall my experience was good and I intend to go for the next week before making my decision to join. Leaning on joining because I prefer the more relaxed environment over PF.

My home anytime fitness gym is in Florida, but I use this one when I visit family in New Albany. As for equipment it will get the job done. Not the newest, but it works. It's in a good location with easy in and out. The environment inside is good. The reason for my two stars is the cleanliness or lack of. I've used this gym maybe ten times over the past year and it's been just marginally clean. I came up for Derby weekend and used the gym Friday and Saturday afternoon staying several hours both days. All I can say is the cleanliness has gotten worse. On Friday I took notice and it didn't take long to see every trash can in the gym was running over, the mirror in the free weight area was hazy and covered with smudges, there was trash in the corners, small holes punched in the drywall and baseboard molding pulled from the wall. Bathroom's were not very clean either with one of the faucets not working and the trash cans full. All this I noticed on Friday. Came back Saturday afternoon and nothing had been done. All trash cans still over flowing. I've never even seen an employee or manager!!! Does anyone work here? Like I said, the gym serves the purpose and there was plenty of cleaning towels and spray bottles with cleaning solution to clean the equipment after using it, but the overall cleanliness of the gym isn't the best.

My son was told he could sign up for membership and cancel at anytime. He tried to cancel 3 months later and they told him he signed up for a 2 year contract at 15.99 a WEEK! He tried to work with them there as he is only 20 years old and they refused to let him out of a 2 year contract. He was told one thing but got signed up for another. Total bait and switch. It’s not right what was done. Be aware of what they tell you you’re signing up for as opposed to what you’re actually signed up for. Total scam

I cancelled this membership in August and have moved from the area. This company has been fraudulently charging me since then. I have called the main company line and they say it's not their problem that the business front itself is the only one that can cancel a membership or issue a refund. When I worked out there, there was rarely a staff member on site. Now I can't seem to get anyone to pick up a phone. I haven't had a key to the place since August, do the right thing and issue the refund. Heck do the right thing and do your job in general.

Pros:
- Convenient Location
- Rarely Crowded

Cons:
- Dated. Floors and especially the bathrooms are in rough shape.
- Dirty. I’ve been going here for a few years now. Been here at all different hours of the day and night and I’ve seen someone do any sort of cleaning maybe 4 times. This is over the course of 3 different sets of management.
- Needs more than 1 bench press. I understand space is always a factor here but depending on who’s using it, it’ll get taken for 30+ minutes at a time.
- Bonus. The mirror behind the bench press has been broken since I can remember. At this point I’m taking bets on how long it’ll stay that way.

I’m sure management knows all of these things and money is always going to be a factor. Not trying to throw hate because I am here and will probably be coming here for the foreseeable future. It’d just be nice to see it be up to par with the other AFs in the surrounding areas.

i really like this location. i am an over the road truck driver from out of town and LOVED that i was able to park my rig behind the building and get a workout,🏋🏽‍♀️ a shower 🚿 and some grocery shopping in.
The bathroom had a small amount of mud but i am not from around here so i don’t know if maybe that is just seasonal.
i didn’t see a mop or broom. i know i like to clean up after myself when i am visiting from out of town. Great gym. Lot of free weights. lots of Hammer Strength Machines. Lots of options. very nice. Cheers guys. well done 🍻

I have used this gym several times while in town from Minnesota. I think this is a great gym. There is ample equipment and it’s apparent that they are rebooting the gym with new equipment and many upgrades. The staff is friendly and being active with their member base. There is also something around 5000 locations. Meaning if you are out of town, like myself, there is a good chance there is a gym you could visit. You also get free access to Apple fitness + with your membership which is huge if you need a quick workout while somewhere that doesn’t have an anytime fitness. Definitely consider signing up.

The gym is great primarily for the 24hours it's open! The equipment is nice. I go into the guess door today expecting to meet someone about joining here and no one was there. I knocked on the office door and even walked around in side. I saw a someone that was working out and asking if anyone was working and they said no and haven't seen anyone in about a week and asked how I got in. When I told him the guess doors, he couldn't believe that they was unlocked. So I called the number on the door and it goes to voicemail. It seems from other post that i have read people seem to have the same problem, when it comes to trying to talk to someone. How can you operate a business and not have someone on site daily to sign up new clients. Does every franchise Anytime Fitness operate like this, or just this one? I give 3 stars cause at least from walking around the place did look clean and nice on the inside.

This gym used to be good when Matt worked there. However it hasn’t been staffed for at LEAST two weeks & the “manager” they had working there didn’t do ANYTHING. I once asked him if the hours had changed because he was never there and he said I must have came in while he was on lunch...as I was standing in the gym messaging him. When I messaged the owner about the problem his exact words were “He’s not there? He’s supposed to be there.” The owner of this gym does not care about it and has taken 0 steps to fix any issues. Also, I’m not supposed to be managing your employees for you, I’m sorry but you should be aware that your employee left early everyday, however when you never check on your business it’s not very shocking that the employees take advantage of you. Some days they don’t even have the basics and I’m talking paper towels, cleaner or even TOILET PAPER. About two months ago I found small red bugs on the walls in the yoga room & on the mats that I’m sure they still haven’t addressed that issue because a week after I told them they were STILL there! The AC and fans never work so it’s basically a million degrees in the gym at all times. For awhile the door wouldn’t even close all the way & NON members would walk in while no staff was present & question me about where the staff was while I was working out! Do not waste your money at the Sellersburg Anytime Fitness, I would go to Charlestown or Jeffersonville. I’m sure the owners of those gyms actually care and won’t just keep telling you “things are going to get better.” This place is going downhill VERY fast.

I've been trying to join this gym for three weeks. I've called during staffed hours, left voicemails, showed up numerous times during staffed hours, and even tried waiting to see if someone would show up. None of which has gotten me a phone call or someone working to help me out. I live right up the street. However, based on the other reviews on this place in addition to my own experience, I'm gonna take this as a sign and join somewhere else.

If I could leave 0 stars I would . This place is horrible , let’s start with it took me 2 weeks just to get a hold of someone to sign up , okay that’s alright maybe staff just been busy .
Come to find out there is only 1 staff member and he only knows how to sign people up nothing else . Which is not his fault because the owner should train his employee to run the place correctly .
So now here I am needing to cancel mine and my fiancé’s memberships and he (staff member) doesn’t know how to cancel memberships and has no ability what so ever to cancel .
Okay that’s fine I will get hold of the owner Tom Runnebohm. I messaged the man on Facebook , he has read my message and yet to return my calls or messages . He’s avoiding me at all cost . Some days he even turns his cellphone off. The staff member can’t even reach the man . I am very pissed off and will have this company reported to BBB. DONT GO TO THIS GYM !

Some nice equipment but the restrooms will make you feel like in a 3rd world country, they need to upgrade or remodel them, my 3rd and last visit.

Small. Expensive. Rarely staffed during "staff hours" so can't ever depend on them being there to bring a guest (or to even sign-up). I will update if things change. For me it is conveniently placed and that is all.

Who knows it may be a nice gym inside. The people who workout there are nice honest people. But it says it's staffed at ten I waited around till noon working from my car waiting for it to open so I could get a workout in I called multiple times but the workers never showed up. I wouldn't buy a membership here seeing how the workers don't show up why should I?
