Excellent gym with great customer service! The manager, Cassie, is friendly and will answer any questions you have about the facility. It's clear she cares about the members and wants them to succeed in their fitness goals. The personal trainer, Kevin, is also awesome -- very friendly and attentive to your personal goals. He comes up with training programs that fit your personal goals and needs, and supports you as you work towards them. Both Cassie and Kevin greet people by name as they visit, so they clearly know the members and care for them. A great place for your workout!

I am a competitive athlete who travels from time to time and have visited many gyms in numerous cities and states over the years. While I was visiting Valparaiso I decided to give this Anytime Fitness location a try. I have to say, I was so impressed on many levels. While this isn't the fanciest gym I've gone to, it was one of my favorites.

First of all, the manager Cassie is incredible. Warm, welcoming, kind, and beyond helpful. She signed me up for a week-long pass and showed me around the space. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the gym as well as the other aspects. The gym is well outfitted and I was able to easily perform all of my workouts. The clientele there was incredible - mostly men but all very respectful and nice. No leering, no staring, no dumb meatheads -nothing of the sort. They were there to do the work and workout hard - which I respect. Every member was kind and considerate. Each person wiped down their equipment and genuinely cared, which is something I've never seen at another gym facility.

The biggest thing I noticed was the sense of community - something Cassie has clearly fostered. She goes out onto the floor and is always talking to members, tidying things up, checking on things. It is clear that her work ethic and kindness is something she instills in her customers. It takes a true leader to impact the culture of any organization - especially a gym. I've been to many 'fancy' gyms that were filled with rude and arrogant people in my lifetime and I would far prefer a less fancy gym with people who are kind and like-minded like this Anytime Fitness.

Well done, Cassie! I think the ownership is very lucky to have you and I WILL be returning on my net trip to Valpo. Thank you for everything.

They advertise as accepting insurance programs but at some point stopped. Despite registering and already having the member card from active and fit listing showing their location as participating, they refuse. The anytime fitness website shows a nice picture of the owner with his family and a bio stating "feel free to contact him ANYTIME for ongoing support." Cassie would not allow me to speak to him or email him regarding this matter and took offense when I asked. She insisted it wasn't his decision to make. If the owner isn't the person to talk to, who is? Take him off the website.... especially the part about contacting him ANYTIME.

Anytime Fitness North in Valparaiso is one of the premier gyms in Northwest Indiana. I’ve been to a lot of gyms especially Anytime Fitness gyms across the country. This gym is by far the best I’ve ever been too. If you’re looking for a great environment filled with goal oriented people to be around with a gym that’s always clean with the greatest Manager then you’ve found the right place. Cassie is the most down to earth, extremely helpful, give you the shirt off her back type of person. She’s always asking everyone in the gym how there day is going. Making sure the areas are clean. I go 5 times a week and every time I’m there she’s cleaning making the place look spotless. She always has a positive and welcoming attitude when you walk through the front door and on your way out. Anytime Fitness on Calumet Ave. in Valpo is the best! Its manager, Cassie, does a fantastic job, from welcoming newbies and long-time members to keeping the place immaculate. AF on Calumet has a friendly vibe; it's not huge and impersonal as some gyms are.

I joined the gym in June 2023, somewhat apprehensive, as I was 69 and overweight. AF is a no-judgment atmosphere, and I felt comfortable the moment I first walked through the door and was greeted by Cassie. I have worked a lot with Kevin, a knowledgeable and gifted personal trainer. Kevin has brought me such a long way! I am smaller :) , stronger and more fit that I've been in decades; wish I would have joined much sooner.

I highly recommend this gym. People of all shapes, sizes and ages and at all levels of fitness work out at AF on Calumet.

The trainers at this gym are fantastic! Emily pushes me harder than I would ever push myself. Kevin makes workouts seem super short and fun by sharing interesting stories about his life. They are both very knowledgeable and always willing to offer their expertise. Small group classes are my favorite. I love that whenever I miss a couple of sessions, they check in with me to see how I'm doing. I love the accountability and the care of these two.

The gym itself has everything you need for a full body workout. However, if there's anything they're missing, let them know and they'll make every effort to get it so that you can have the best workouts. Some personal favorites are the battle ropes and the TRX bands.

I got lost at a big gym, thinking I was saving money. It's not money saved if you never actually use your membership. Don't fall for the gimmicks of other gyms, join one that feels more like family.

I’ve been going to AF North Valpo for about 3 years now and still love coming to this club.

It’s clean, features high quality equipment and great people. Club members represent diverse backgrounds of strength and age, but all seem like good people.

This club persevered through Covid pressures to shut down and prioritized it’s members’ commitment and responsibility to their own personal health and fitness by staying open.

Management is good, products are good. Club can get a little tight at times, but that’s because people love going here.

Not usually packed so easy access to what you need. Price is very reasonable and everything is kept extremely cleaned. Rags and spray are provided throughout machines but showers also come with towels and shampoo. Signs are posted throughout for reminders to put weights back.
