This place is full of fun friendly people! I really enjoyed the pace of lessons and the way they build on each other. The drop in group sessions were super fun and the instructors did a great job of making me feel comfortable and helping me participate. I went to one of the dance competitions with another studio and that was a delight. They bring a ton of energy. If you get a chance to see Paris and Gianna dance, don’t miss it! 10 out of 5, would dance again!

Our wedding was this past Saturday and our first dance was absolutely MAGICAL ✨ thanks to all of the incredible instructors at Arthur Murray!!! Our instructor was Jazz, and even though we came to her with less than 2 month before the wedding, she made us look SO GOOD! We had people gasping during and received so many compliments afterwards!
Our experience here has been so wonderful, we’re hoping to continue lessons in the coming months! Thank you so very much to Jazz for being the best instructor imaginable, Brandon for helping us polish things up, Paris for being so much fun to chat with, and everyone else for always being so kind and welcoming!

Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Merrillville is an absolute wonderful dance studio, a great place to learn ballroom dancing at your own pace. The instructors are intelligent, and very passionate about your dancing success. Joining and learning some of the dances has definitely helped me to redefine my life. I decided to take classes by myself as a way to build confidence after a rough patch in my life. Upon entering the building I was welcomed to a warm and energetic environment like no other. It is rare to find such incredible and passionate instructors, even rarer to have the privilege to learn under them. My fiancé and I were extremely nervous but excited to try dancing in preparation for our upcoming wedding dance. What we didn't expect is how much fun we are having with dance and loving every second of our experience, even beyond our first dance that originally brought us in. As others mentioned, the atmosphere and staff are amazing. They are extremely personable and conscientious of your expectations, comfort level, and goals. I cannot emphasize how much we love our group classes and private lessons with Liam and so happy to work with him each visit. $40 for the first private lesson, after that every "private lesson bundle" averages $100 per private lesson unless you go on GROUPON. Everyone who works there is high energy. Be careful what you put as your reason for wanting classes in the paperwork because they remind you of it if you decide to not continue with classes😑

Everyone that works there is amazing. Our primary instructor is Lisa, she has been a blast. My wife and I are learning so much and having tons of fun in the process. Jonathan has been a huge help and fun to dance with as well. Julie and Paris, while we haven't danced with them, they have been amazingly friendly and fun to be around as well.

I started learning to dance at Arthur Murray Merrillville about 2 1/2 years ago at the age of 70 and quickly discovered that I had picked the right place to start my education. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the facilities are top-notch and Tony, Julie, Cori, Jonathan and Liz all quickly become friends. They are all talented dancers, great instructors and warm, friendly individuals who quickly make you feel like family. The whole experience has been positive in every way and I would recommend AM Merrillville to anyone who wants to open a new chapter of their life. I’m glad I did!

I have been a student of the Arthur Murray Merrillville Dance Studio for a few years now and I’m not planning on leaving anytime soon. Tony, Julie, and Their dance instructors and Admin staff create such a warm, welcoming environment that it makes you, well, just want to dance! No matter if you think you have two left feet, they will show you that you don’t——and you will have fun along the way. But, most importantly if you give it a real chance, it will challenge you in ways you have yet to be challenged. And you will find out wonderful things about yourself that you, up until now, didn’t know. Specifically, it improves health, mood, disposition and confidence. Those are pretty basic and all good take always. But, once you challenge yourself in dance, you may even discover you can challenge yourself in other aspects of your life, and then YOUR LIFE opens up to you. It starts with just moving your feet to a little music, but it exponentially shifts so much more than that. The first step, though, is to have an open mind and to walk through the door. Arthur Murray Merrillville is such a fun place to be any day of the week! My husband and I started when we needed something fun to do together (other than your typical dinner and movie). The teachers are great and so are the other students. Its a great place to hang out and make new friends while doing something fun and getting a good workout!
