What a cute yoga studio!. I was in town for a weeding and I looked online for Yoga Classes. I found Bend Yoga :). The studio is super clean, great location, and nice. I did Power Yoga on a Saturday with Caitlin ( she was great) and on a Sunday Yin Yoga with Maggie, I liked the class. 👌🏻

I have been going to Bend Yoga for about 3 months now and should have posted this way sooner! The studio is lovely and the people are even better. There is no judgment ever and it’s a very relaxing environment. I would recommend this studio to anyone, whether they want to do yoga, meditate, or a little of both! My husband joins me as well and we just attended a class for the kids and it was a blast! You won’t be disappointed!

There is so much to love about Bend! It is such a welcoming environment. The instructors are knowledgeable and they offer many different styles of classes with great music and a cold towel to end class with. This studio is free from judgement and full of community. Whether you’re a beginner taking your first class or more advanced, Bend will make you feel right at home!

A wonderful place where you are known by name by all staff. At Bend Yoga can take the time to relax, meditate, or get a workout in. Having attended classes for a year I can confidently say Bend Yoga has been a positive place for my mental and physical health. If you schedule a small group class you get to choose the playlist theme. I did Taylor Swift with students who were first time practicers of yoga and it was a great time! They loved it!

One of the most welcoming and non judgmental yoga studios I’ve ever been to. Coming from Ca where there are more yoga studios than people, I was surprised to find so few here in South Bend. Luckily Bend Yoga has a great schedule, wonderful instructors, and a welcoming community.

My daughter and I found Bend Yoga because of their one month trial and never left. The instructors all bring something unique so there’s something for everyone. What I love the most is how the instructors educate about the benefits of poses making yoga enjoyable and beneficial.

I really can’t say enough how much I love Bend. Ever since I joined, it’s felt like a cozy, fun, friendly haven where I can escape the insanity that is grad school. I never thought I’d buy a monthly unlimited membership at a yoga studio, but Bend changed my mind. Having practiced at some amazing (and ~expensive- ) studios in California, I am pretty picky about my yoga instructors/classes, but Bend has never disappointed. I have recommended it to every one of my friends and will continue to as long as it’s open. Thanks for being the best!!

Started going to class via the 30 days for $30 deal that was offered. Been going to classes about four times a week. Booking classes and checking out the schedule is super easy and it helps me stay accountable. Definitely a very welcoming and accepting atmosphere. If you want to try many different variations of yoga in a great atmosphere, Bend Yoga is the place to be!

Caitlin has created the most unique and welcoming environment in South Bend with her studio, Bend Yoga! There are a variety of different types of classes for anyone who is either new to yoga or an experienced yogi. Each teacher/instructor is extremely welcoming and the studio itself is adorable and clean. I would recommend to anyone looking for a more fulfilling type of workout or simply a great community to belong to.

Best yoga studio ever. Better than CorePower. Better than PureBarre. Way better than that weird class at the gym. It’s not just the yoga that makes this place great, it’s the community. I wish everyone could experience this studio.

Bend Yoga is just what South Bend needs. It’s clear just how much the staff care about their clientele and the entire community. The yoga is accessible for all levels, and everyone I’ve encountered makes a clear effort to be welcoming and to get to know everyone by name. I’ve tried a variety of yoga options over the years, and find Bend Yoga to be right there among the best.

Bend Yoga is excellent! I've been attending classes at this studio for 8 months and am so glad I found this studio in South Bend. Each instructor makes an effort to know your name and Caitlin, the owner, is intentional about the community she is creating. I love the variety of classes offered and truly believe this is a place for all, whether you want to try yoga for the first time, or you've been practicing for years.

I have been to 5 yoga classes so far using the 30 days for $30 and I’m absolutely loving it!
I have tried a few different styles so far. Every instructor I have had is very helpful and easy to follow with directions. The music they play is spot on as well. I highly recommend this yoga studio!

tl;dr Bend Yoga has been my best yoga experience since moving to South Bend three years ago (and I'm picky!).
I'll start off my review by saying that I think most yoga studios fall into one of two categories and most yogis know which kind they prefer. On the one hand, there are yoga studios that focus on fitness and on the other there are studios that focus on the mind-body connection. Fitness-based studios may incorporate mindfulness but it's never fully integrated into the culture of the studio; mind-body-based studios will give you a work out but never at the cost of your mental well-being. Bend Yoga is a mind-body studio.
As someone who has used yoga off-and-on for eight years to cope with PTSD symptoms, an integrated mind-body approach is essential to my practice. Often, fitness-based studios contain multiple triggers for me (for example, mirrors, body-shaming cues, or unwanted physical assists) and the instructors will unwittingly worsen the situation (for example, by confronting me in the middle of class about my decision to modify postures when triggered). However, I think I have attended at least one class from every instructor at Bend Yoga and never have I (1) heard the phrase "burns calories", (2) been confronted by an instructor for choosing not to engage in a posture, (3) felt left-behind or rushed. The studio contains no mirrors and is not heated. These are all HUGE pluses in my book but I acknowledge that not everyone will feel the same. Again, this is not to say that the classes are not physically challenging or that you won't work up a sweat (because they are and you will); I'm just trying to call out that some of the common reasons I avoid some yoga studios are not present here.
Just as important as what Bend Yoga doesn't do, is what it actively does. Instructors make an effort to learn the names of every person in the room; students and instructors will joke and laugh with each other before, during, and after practice; the cool towel during shivasana is optional; and finally, instructors are constantly monitoring the room for people who need assists or modifications because of physical or emotional limitations. Together and over time, these actions cultivate community and self-advocacy, which in turn creates a safe space for students to make choices and be curious about the practice that is best for their bodies. Ultimately, this actually improves my physical strength, flexibility, and stamina because I have the emotional energy to attend classes more regularly. I suspect the same principle applies for those prone to injuring themselves in fitness-based classes.
I'll also bring up the measures that have been implemented as a result of the pandemic. The indoor class sizes have been reduced so that mats can be spread out and everyone wears a mask until they reach their mat, at which point they can take it off. Physical assists are not currently part of classes, and shared props have been removed (although you can always bring your own). There are also Open Studio hours and a separate meditation room which offer the chance for you to practice indoors but solo. This has been enough for me to feel comfortable attending classes but for those not comfortable with the indoor arrangement, there are also outdoor classes (usually offered in the morning). I feel like the wide array of options is another indicator that this studio prioritizes choices and accommodations for people of different backgrounds and experiences.
I hope this helps anyone looking for a studio in South Bend! And I want to say a big "thank you" to all the instructors at Bend Yoga, especially Caitlin, Julianne, and Elizabeth, whose classes I attend most often. You're all wonderful and I look forward to practicing with you again soon!

I did their introduction package and it was so worth it. I really liked the yoga classes and I felt a lot better when I was doing yoga. I would’ve liked to keep doing it, but had to move out of South Bend. Would highly recommend.

I was thrilled to find this new yoga studio in South Bend! Owner/instructor Caitlin is friendly and welcoming. Her class is challenging without being intimidating or exhausting. I've seen her accommodate both experienced students and new-to-yoga students in the same class with ease, creating an environment for both to have a meaningful practice. Caitlin's style is really relaxed and approachable, her class is fun with great variety, and the cool towel on the forehead during shavasana is like a little gift every time.
