My daughter started taking tumbling classes at Bright Stars a couple years ago. She didn’t have any cheer experience before but she wanted to sign up this past year. She ended up learning so much about cheer, met new friends, and learned many new skills. She is already counting down until next cheer season starts. The coaches help teach my daughter at a pace that works for her while pushing her to be the best she can be. I definitely would recommend this gym to anyone looking to take tumbling classes or join a cheer team!

My daughter has done it all at Bright Stars from clinics, private lessons, weekly group classes and all star cheer. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. We have gone to other local "gyms" that push girls to unsafe limits but safety and techique are a top priority here. The facility is clean and they have all the equipment to work on skills from cartwheels to fulls. My daughter is always excited to go to the gym and is counting the days until the next season of cheer.

My daughter had absolutely no cheer experience. She started out just wanting to tumble then ended up trying out! The coaches made her feel comfortable and explained everything since we were so new to it all. They gave her the confidence and the push that she needed to shine on stage. The cost and competition schedule are very favorable compared to other gyms.

First year with Bright Stars and my daughter absolutely loved it! The coaches worked with her to help build her confidence and skills. She was thrilled with all the opportunities and experiences she had in just her first year, she has found her gym for the foreseeable future!

I signed my granddaughter up and it wasn't a smooth process but someone reached out and helped. We showed up and things you should know...
1. Turn on Bond Rd and enter the parking lot from that road. There aren't clear signs and it can be incredibly frustrating to wander a parking lot where...
2. They do not have good drainage or enough gravel. Mud. Mud. Mud. Walking around a huge building in a mucky mess with a 4 yr old set the tone.
3. There is a tiny reception area for parents to watch that feels like Black Friday shopping at Walmart. Nuts. People everywhere and you have to walk from the door to the other side of the gym to get to a staff. This seemed odd.
4. There doesn't seem to be time between classes and there are kids everywhere. There was no clear beginning and end of class which leads me to...
5. My 4 year old was not even able to get to me to leave as the older kids rushed in. Maybe I am old fashioned and expect too much but I would expect respectful interaction to be modeled.
6. We got no intro or welcome. My 4 yr old was dire ted to go out to where other kids were without anyone. No welcome here, no let me walk you out, nothing.
7. There seems to be too many kids for a few young ladies to manage well.
8. Bring a water bottle. We asked what we needed to bring and water didn't make the list. My kiddo was the only one without water at the water break. I should've brought it but we have been visiting all sorts of rec activities to see what fits us best and some allow it and some don't.
It was too much chaos for us.
Overall, it wasn't for us but there were enough people in that building for me to know that it definitely is for others. Hopefully, my info can help you decide what side of things you happen to fall on.

The coaches are very structured w how they teach but very sweet. This is our first yr joining bright stars and my little girl loves it. She did cheerleading for the school last yr but something was missing. She taught herself for the most part to do cart wheels, round offs, the splits, hand stands, back bends, the walkover. I signed her up just for the tumbling to begin w and then signed her up for the competition cheer. She is the type of kid that thrives off of learning more and being rewarded from her work put in. I think she'll do great from doing things she already loves. Bright Stars has dedicated parents as well that will help you learn the routine n what's needed if youre ever unsure you can ask the group moms. Great thing also to help w payments that go towards what is owed from bright stars, there's plenty of fundraisers you can get into. Another plus is watching your own child's confidence grow which is pretty rewarding for the parents :)

I know that the owner is trying their best but I think that if its a child's first time the coaches should take the time with them to feel welcome and especially with a beginner give some more instruction. Also the sign up process is a little confusing but they respond quickly to help. I would recommend better signage and lighting because it is incredibly hard to find at night. On the bright side It was affordable and the facility looked clean.
