Chris one of the trainers n I have the best work outs on Saturday. He pushes me to do better every week and helped prep me for Knee Surgery in 2023 and both Chris n I have steadily noticed my improvements.

Catalyst is the best gym, hands down! I look forward to the smiling faces of the kind front desk staff and have gotten to know their names. Jason the owner, puts fourth every effort to constantly upgrade the gym with the newest equipment and he personally will talk to members if they have questions. Catalyst will let you come take a tour and ask questions just call and set up a meeting. for one membership fee you get 24 hour access, free classes and full equipment access all included. The instructors are always smiling and helping everyone enjoy and learn while instructing and they make an effort to get to know you. I love Catalyst!

The array of classes that are offered are wonderful. Being able to take quick shower in clean locker room then enjoy relaxing in sauna or stand up tanning bed to relax is great. Before transitioning to Iron Society, I frequented this gym. As a student, its affordability, coupled with student discounts, made it incredibly convenient. The array of amenities, including basketball and racquetball courts, along with an extensive selection of cardio and weight machines, ensured minimal wait times. Additionally, the availability of a turf room for stretching was a bonus. However, the outdated equipment posed a safety concern, as I witnessed a lat row pulley snap on someone, fortunately resulting in no injuries.

Love this gym! I've been coming to Catalyst for about 2 years now and don't have plans to leave anytime soon. It is very large and there are plenty of spaces to workout. They are constantly doing renovations and making improvements. It's cool too that they have 2 locations in Fort Wayne and give you access to both. I love the additional amenities like the pickleball courts, track, group classes, child watch, tanning booth, sauna and coffee/smoothie bar. SO worth the price and in my opinion is the best value you're going to get for your money compared to any other gym in Fort Wayne.

This article was started on Thursday July 21, 2022.
On July 31st my two-month trial at Catalyst Fitness will be up. I’m joining and becoming a member starting in August. Here are some of the reasons I’m staying. They have plenty of strength equipment located in five rooms throughout the facility. One is on the 2nd floor of the building adjacent to the track. There are two cardio rooms, a turf area with a heavy bag plus two classrooms for group fitness classes.
One great feature of Catalyst is the Group Fitness classes that everyone can attend. They are part of your membership! We offer Cycle, Power, Centergy, Core, Fight, and Cardio kickboxing. Starting tonight we have Group Blast.
I ran into a friend from the old gym and we’re workout partners(again) here at Catalyst. We’ve been hitting the weight room and turf area hard almost every day. She introduced me to cycle class and maybe next week I’ll do kickboxing with her.
Come out and get a tour of our great gym and see my new gym home!
And don’t forget Catalyst Fitness is a 24-hour gym!

We are in town for a few months while my husband is working here and it is so refreshing to find a good quality gym while we are on the road. The gym is huge, with one main weight room and a couple of smaller weight rooms/ machine rooms. There is a functional training room along with a classroom and several racquetball courts. There is also plenty of cardio equipment. The women’s locker room is always clean and very spacious. The most important thing I was looking for was childcare for my kids while I workout, and this place has exceeded my expectations. I know my kids are in good hands here and they actually look forward to going to the gym. Childcare is included in the membership whereas other gyms charge separately. You can’t beat $20 a month with childcare included! My only recommendation is that they upgrade the equipment in the machine room as it is all pretty outdated and some machines are awkward to use. Other than that, this gym is awesome and I definitely recommend it!

This is a great gym! There are tons of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment to choose from. Racquetball courts are also a nice perk.

Only complaint is the shower facility, as it's just a big room with a bunch of shower heads. No dividers, hooks to hang a towel on, etc. I assume this is a remnant from the old Summit City fitness days, but still something that could use an upgrade.

The largest of the 3 locations..alot of the equipment is from prior ownership so some of it is older but they are currently making upgrades to the location and introducing new equipment. I'm possibly shopping for a new gym with better amenities than mine currently has. Visited this one today. Yea, the building is older and doesn't have that shiny happy New feel of the chain fitness centers in town, but it's big, has plenty of equipment, and has a dry sauna and whirlpool! The chains don't have those. The 6 bucks more a month (and not having a yearly membership fee) seems like a good deal. And they offer 2 free sessions with a trainer, rather than the 1 intro session the chains offer. Seriously contemplating making the switch.

I was in town for a week and needed somewhere I could get an affordable guest pass for the week. This gym was perfect! It is an older building, but all the weights worked just fine and they had all the equipment I needed. It was also not crowded - an extra bonus! Staff was nice also.
