I love Lisaβs heartfelt classes and offerings! Her somatic classes are intentional, grounding, and fulfilling. Her somatic teacher training helped level up my own yoga teaching. I highly recommend anything Lisa offers at cityoga!

City Yoga is a very safe, serene spiritual community. I recommend yin/sound bowl with Katarina and triple gong with Diane. Both of these gifted instructors are wise and grounded so your practice is honored w/o judgement. I leave anything that no longer serves me at the door and emerge feeling uplifted and positive. Thank you CY.

I want to teach, so I chose CITYOGA for their 200-hour teacher training course. Not sure I can say enough good things about this, excellent course, excellent instructors, top notch guest teachers and presenters. If anyone is interested in teaching, I highly recommend CITYOGA's teaching courses.

This is my sanctuary. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and caring. Heated vinyasa and Ashtanga are my obsessions. Heather is an amazing instructor and her wisdom gets me to class at 7am for ashtanga which feels like starting my day with magic.

Dianeβs gong meditations are one of my favorite things to attend! She is so knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining Kundalini yoga and the experience of gongs in a very simple and informative way that will even bring a first timer to ease! The gong night during the pink full moon was absolutely so spectacular & being able to chant with collectively with so many people in the room was so special. Truly a beautiful experience of connection in all forms of the word!

I came across Cityoga when I was looking for a prenatal yoga class to gift to my sister who was in her third trimester. I had never really done yoga before that, but I loved that experience with teacher Kelly Shull so much that I now aim to get to a class a week. My current favorite is heated slow flow with Charlotte Gretter- she is awesome!! Itβs something I look forward to every week now! Highly recommend!

I think I have found my studio! After some frequent moves around the country, I turned to virtual practices during Covid and hadnβt found a studio that I really gravitated towards. Last night I had the pleasure of joining a Yin class led by Kristen and I am very pleased, and frankly relieved, to say that I will be attending classes here weekly. Thank you for making me feel welcomed.

I went to a Sound Bath led by Jaymi and it was my favorite meditation experience Iβve ever had. I always struggle with meditating in silence, and even just relaxation, but I felt so comfortable throughout the entire time and achieved true mind and body relaxation for one of the first times in my life. As a first time go-er I was nervous, but felt so welcomed and respected. Highly recommend!!

Unfortunately I had to stop going to City Yoga due to their terrible cancelation policy. Note, if you book a class and need to cancel for any reason - even days before the class - they will not credit you that class. All sales since February 20th are final and considered a donation to the studio if you cannot attend.

Normally, I would give this place a better rating and used to consider it my favorite studio. However, the communication is not good. I paid for a workshop that included a book. I was unable to attend, as Covid came to my home. I contacted the studio on three separate attempts with leaving voice messages and sending email to ask if I could enroll in another workshop, or at the least, receive the book I paid for. I have yet to receive a response from any of my attempts, and my $70 is in the wind. While I don't expect a refund, the consideration of a response and any other options or opportunity to pick up my book would have been appreciated for my $70. I am now hesitant to sign up for anything else, as I had to save for the one I already paid for and cannot afford to pay for nothing. I hope this prompts the studio to do better by those of us who were loyal supporters.

CitYoga has the BEST vibes, the best classes, community, instructors, schedule and variety I've found anywhere in Indy! Both locations are in convenient yet low traffic areas and they have classes to suit all tastes. There are several classes each day that fit my schedule so I can choose based on how I'm feeling. Some days I go to a hot class and sweat it out and other days I choose more slow, restorative options. Sometimes I'll do a class that's the perfect combination of the two. They also have a great monthly unlimited rate so some days I do both! Regardless of the level of the class, there's always space to breathe deeply, zero judgment and a welcoming feel. The rooms and staff are accommodating and parking is free and abundant.
Two of my favorite after work wind-downs are Tara's Restorative Flow on Tuesdays at 5:30 and Randi's Stress Relief on Wednesdays at 6:00. Both are at the 64th & Hoover location which is a beautiful sanctuary ideal for nurturing yourself. The Central Ave location reminds me of my first yoga home in California with its clean, spacious rooms and community feel. I love that the teachers are diverse, their classes offer variety and they encourage me to take care of my individual needs!! Finally, I have found a local studio where I can really bReAThE in my practice and make my flow my own while being supported, guided and inspired. The owner, Dave, teaches classes and teacher trainings and he truly practices what he teaches. I feel very fortunate to have found this studio.

EDITED: I'm happy to report that a lovely employee (Erica) of City Yoga called me shortly after I posted this review. She could tell I was frustrated and was not going to let me hang up before making the situation right. (Originally, I was told I would have to make a three month commitment if I were to purchase a New Student Unlimited Month pass). She asked me to let her call the owner, who informed her they had just changed their policy and that I could indeed purchase the pass. Last evening, not only was I able to purchase my pass, I was able to attend a Stress Relief yoga class (my mat, right next to Erica) taught by Lisa Daughtery, which was fantastic! I'm anxious to try out more classes at this studio!

I would love to tell you about my experience hereβ¦ However, Iβve been calling for the last three days and have left two voicemail messages and no one has called me back. My beloved CITYOGA! I have been learning and growing in my practice here for over two years. Throughout my time here, I have tried several other local yoga studios and I keep coming back. There is just something here- great community, sound teaching and technique, convenient class times and good seasonal deals on class passes. My favorite instructors are Adrienne and Lisa D, but there are so many great teachers with diverse class offerings. I've read some reviews about their experience not being beginner friendly or what they hoped for. I'd encourage any new yogi to call and ask for good classes to try. And definitely let your instructor know your newish. I have always found them to be accommodating. If you try a class that you don't like, pick another one. They have the best new member rate around so you can try them all!

This afternoon, I had the great fortune of taking a three (3) hour yoga, meditation, and wellness workshop at City Yoga. It workshop was led by Dave, who also happens to be the studio's owner. It was my first time at the studio as well as learning techniques for mediation. It was amazing! Dave was very knowledgable and personable. He made the three hours go by so fast. I enjoyed the guided practice, the positive energy of participants, and the studio space. I feel great and definitely plan to return. If you are looking for a great experience, make sure you check out City Yoga!

Cityoga is my favorite place in Indy to practice! The classes and teachers are diverse enough to encompass different styles of yoga, different tastes and preferences and varying fitness levels. If I'm in the mood for a traditional, quiet, contemplative practice, I can do that. If I'm in the mood for a loud, intense and sweaty workout, I can do that too! The monthly and holiday themed pricing specials are great and the $10 community classes on Sundays make it accessible to everyone!

I've been coming to Cityoga 5-6 days a week for about eight months now, and it has been deeply rewarding on a spiritual and physical level. I wound up settling on Ashtanga for my daily practice, but they offer a wide variety of classes, including hot yoga and Kundalini, and they bring in internationally-recognized names for workshops and events. It is refreshing that there is a local studio that offers traditional classes taught the same way they would be in India. They offer competitive package pricing, a welcoming environment, and a vibrant community of friendly yogis. As a bonus, I have gotten nonstop compliments on my "Michelle Obama arms" since I started classes there...so much for yoga erasing the ego!
