If you’re going to work out here, BRING noise canceling headphones! Otherwise you’re going to listen to Motown music on blast and you will like it. The grumpy geriatric age group in here has some kind of impenetrable control of the aux. On an off day, it’s reggae.

I was calling to see if they had a day pass. They said yes and it's free. And I was wondering how it was free and things they said I had to bring in my drivers license. And I asked what if im not of age. They said very rudely they your parents have to come in and sign paper work i said okay and then they just said okay and hung up. Very rude.

I love the Y! The convenience of having child care so I can work out, and then taking my baby swimming after my workout, is really nice. It is pricey, but they offer so much! The customer service is also really good and everyone always seems so nice and friendly!

had to come here for several days while the ymca in new albany was closed for harvest, worth the trip! equipment was a bit old but and was missing a few things but i made it work! nice employees, not super busy, plenty of room to lift weights without people in your way! would go back!

Better machines than the floyd county ymca. But the kids area is NOT like the photos. Their play area as of 10/21/24 was honestly worse than a goodwill toy section. I didn't see any toys in the main area other than the Little People play structures but none of the People. No blocks, no coloring area, no play food no train table no Melissa & Doug supermarket stand. Coco Melon was on a dedicated TV when we came in. White board read 'clean up/close 11-12' but their kids club hours are until 1230. Super annoyed that the choices for a family are a total poop play area or access to machines.

Do not go here for swimming. They have reservations but no enforces them. So if you reserve and the pool is full, oh well. People take up lanes for swimming lessons when there is a perfectly good pool to the side. It's a badly managed lap pool

We temporarily had a membership, really just for the kids to swim. We were going atleast twice a week for bit. The pool water was always cold, the kids would come out with teeth chattering. The family locker room floors, by the pool, were a little dirty. Walking into the pool you are taken back by the strong smell of bleach. Unfortunately, we decided to cancel membership after a couple months.

Member for two years. Same old lifting equipment. Duck tape on leg machinery, old out dated curl benches that wobble. Weights are always out of order or attachables scattered on floor. The previous statement is due to poor gym etiquette. Which leads me too the issue of the gym area has become a cafe for all to stand around and chit chat while holding up the machines. Mix that with the out dated / taped equipment this was my reason for canceling. Lastly ill say the gym staff seem inept to handle basic task like signing someone in who forgot their card or to cancel a membership that I was still billed for even after the assurance of not one but two employees that I had successfully terminated my membership before the next bill cycle. While it pains me to go back to a cliche gym at least they have better equipment for a cheaper price. Also the C in YMCA is clearly dead.

Enjoyed working out here. They have a basketball gym, classes, swimming pool, weight room area. They didn’t have a platform to do any Olympic lifting and the bench press pads are slippery if you are lifting heavy. Besides that, the lady working there was really helpful and kind. Will be back soon!

Great place. Gym for anyone 12 and up. They have a little daycare inside I guess if you have kids you can let them play there while you get a workout. They have a nice pool with lifeguards and water slides for kids. They offer swimming classes for kids. Great family place. Year round swimming.

My kids (8 and 10) just finished their first round of swim lessons, and I’ve really appreciated the care and genuine interest their instructor (Brady) showed throughout. They were both nervous in water, but he encouraged them again and again to do what was needed to learn the skills. I think in our day there are too many instructors (of various kinds) who see kids hesitant to step outside their comfort zones and just let them stay where they are, not learning or achieving anything. It seems like the swim instruction at the YMCA instead really pushes kids to get out of their comfort zones for their own good, which is really encouraging to me.

The reason I haven’t given this location five stars is that it seems like some of their staff is given insufficient or conflicting information about the rules. I once asked if my oldest child could work out in the gym, and I was given three different answers from three different people.

This has become my favorite place to go. I love the staff and instructors. My kiddo loves the childcare providers and the kids' pool. I really appreciate being able to reserve a lane for the lap pool so I don't have to worry about not being able to get a swim in. The very best part about this YMCA is how friendly the other people that work out there are. It's incredible! If you are looking for the best place to get back to a fitness routine, this is 100% the place to go. No judgment with tons of encouragement. Can't beat it!

Their t-ball/baseball program is outrageously priced, for a shirt, hat & socks. Coaches are volunteer. Wheres the money going? Its not used on the ball field which is a complete mess, no lines to bases, grass to high & no where for ball players to sit, let alone any shade. And the Y doesn't bother to let you know when games or practice is canceled due to weather! This Y program is horrible. I had kids in Louisville Y programs for years & it was not poorly run like Clark County. It's very sad

The playground was very clean and interesting! Lots of new equipment. The only thing that I would change is the condition of the ballfields. They are all over grown in weeds and there os no dugout for the team! With no shade from the trees either, my kids were very hot playing their game
