I've been holding off on a public review for a long time. I've been going to this Crunch since around the time they opened. They layout is great. The cleanliness and gym culture here is awful. Everyone leaves all the barbbells and machine with plates on them. It's not uncommon to see all 6 bench presses with plates left. Same with the racks and Hammerstrengths. Who needs to put dumbbells away? A few signs were put up but it has just gotten worse. I walk around between sets and just clean plates. I just got done clearing about 1,500 lbs of plates, putting EZ Bars back and dumbbells. But don't worry, if you bring it up to staff they just shrug it off. There's always a good 3 people at the front on their phones or chatting with nothing to do. I've even seen trainers with clients that walk away with bars loaded. The cleaning up weights is an issue at Michigan Rd too. However, it's a uniquely Crunch Indianapolis problem. I went here when it was LA and everyone cleaned up after themselves, worked in on equipment etc. I go to the other LA's in the area, Planet Fitness, Anytime, Peak (been awhile), and Livrite at times and this isn't a problem anywhere. I've also been to at 5 to 10 other Crunches across the country with much less issues.
Oh! And don't forget all the photos and videos in the bathrooms! If you want to be featured in someone's IG post, the lockerroom is the place to be! I've politely said things to the people doing it and they get mad. I've mentioned it to staff and nothing changes. If you want a low budget gym with a diverse amount of equipment, turf space, racks, platforms etc., this is the place. But if want to work out in a place of etiquette, respect, cleanliness, and personal responsibility... then run. Unofrtunately, I like the space too much and keep coming back but it might not be for much longer.

I really wanted to like this gym since I came from a planet fitness that is a lot smaller. But the lack of cleanliness in all the places in this gym is just disturbing! The floor looks like it's never been even broomed once. There is dust and grim on every machine and there is always 2 to 3 people just standing upfront at the desk on their phone or computer. I really want to continue coming here but I just hope this place stops being a bio-hazard.

This gym is filthy - the dust and hair blows around on the floor like tumbleweed. I've never seen a gym receive such little respect from its members, ownership and staff. They use the lockers for storing cleaning supplies but the place is constantly filthy. Handles and adjusters are broken on many pieces of equipment and they stay that way. Weight plates and dumbbells are scattered throughout the gym with no rhyme or reason and they stay that way. The parking lot is full of potholes and the asphalt grime that once filled the holes. It's obnoxiously busy most of the time. They haven't even finished working on the building from before the time it was open and there are areas outside that aren't painted and where building construction isn't finished.

This has been a problem for over a year now. The first 6 months this location was open was about the only time the cleanliness was kept up, I have no idea what's going on now but simply sitting in here feels gross and the sauna is literally one of the best features of crunch gyms.
It's literally looked exactly like this for over a week, I'm in here at minimum 4-5 days a week. Some times more.
I've sent personal emails and talked to management multiple times before writing this review.

Edit: pretty wild that in 2025 there are still gyms that require in-person cancellations. Apparently this is location by location discretion and this location requires you to come in person OR mail in a letter. Out of state? No luck. You can also have a random "authorized" individual sign for you. Until this policy changes at this location my review will stay at 1 star. The employees I talked to over the phone including the manager didn't think it was that big of a headache.
Plenty of equipment, spacious, lots of room to move around. Those complaining about the gyms cleanliness probably don’t re-rack their weights. It’s very clean for being such a large gym with lots of traffic.

Not a bad gym, good stuff to use but sometimes it sucks having to hear people yell at the top of their lungs, like respectfully tell them to shut it. Besides that good cardio machines and weight machines

The best thing about this location is the Zumba class with Nicolasita on Mondays. I've been to many Zumba classes in Latin America and here in the US, and she is one of the best instructors I've ever had. She makes it fun for everyone, regardless of your experience or ability to dance. If you love to dance and if you love Latin music, you have to try this class!

I joined Crunch in early September and made a point to explain that I am a travel nurse and would only be in the area for a short time. The front desk told me exactly when to cancel so I wouldn’t be charged beyond the couple of months I needed. Unfortunately, that guidance was inaccurate.
I ended up deciding to cancel early because the gym is consistently and noticeably dirty. The paper towels provided for wiping down equipment are so thin they shred apart as you use them, leaving bits all over the machines and floor. Those shreds mix with dust and hair to create clumps that are hard to overlook. I’d also see empty water bottles and trash left between machines. The bathrooms frequently looked like they hadn’t been cleaned or checked in quite a while. Overall, the level of cleanliness just didn’t feel acceptable for a gym environment.
When I went in to cancel, the employee processed it but did not tell me about the fine print that I would still be billed for 60 days after signing up, as well as the annual fee. Because of that, my cancellation was voided and I was charged both the annual fee and another month of membership. I had to come back in to ask what happened. Erikah was genuinely helpful and took the time to explain everything clearly, and she did fix the cancellation going forward. She also acknowledged the cleanliness problems and mentioned new janitorial staff.
However, I’ll be leaving the state now having paid for three months of membership, despite only visiting about 5 times. I appreciate Erikah for her honesty and help, but the lack of transparency during signup and the level of uncleanliness made this a disappointing experience.

We’ve been going to this gym for about two years now and the lack of cleanliness and friendliness from the staff is alarming. Staff could absolutely care less about their jobs / guests that come into the gym. Typically around 5:30-6am, there will be two staff members at the desk on their phones, and when asked about empty towels or cleaning spray, they just stare at you or say they don’t care.
Comparing this gym to the Avon location which I’ve been to a couple times, is like night and day. Very clean gym and super friendly staff. You’d expect the same type of atmosphere in the same franchise, but the lack of effort by the staff (starting with management) at the keystone location is alarming.
I don’t think it’s too much go ask for a gym that’s clean, has cleaning spray and stocked paper towels for guests to wipe down their equipment. Or to have the upstairs cardio equipment get dusted more than once every 3-4 months. It’s a great location and other guests are always very friendly, it’s just a shame that management and staff could care less about hospitality, or taking any kind of pride in their jobs whatsoever.

This review is NOT toward this gym specifically but toward the crunch chain in general. As I didn’t have any complaints about this location just to far for convenience now. Tried to cancel my membership online, went through the process of canceling, like it states on the website. After completing it states that someone will reach out to you within 1-2 business days! No one ever did and I have a screenshot of the date I tried to cancel. 2-3 weeks go by, they try to take a payment, so I called my home gym to cancel and the guy who answered the phone for one spoke so low and unprofessional tells me I have to come in to sign a form or mail in a form. Well if someone would have reached out to me within the stated time frame like what’s stated on the website during the cancellation process, that I completed 2 different times, I could have done that. Now how much you wanna bet they are going to try and make me pay for the entire month or more. Poor customer service Crunch Fitness! Don’t try to cancel they make it hard!

Editing my review from 3 stars to 1. This place is consistently a mess. The employees have no accountability or care, and neither does leadership. When giving feedback about messes and cleanliness we were told, "I work by myself overnight". The employees are more annoyed that you've interrupted them being on their phones

I’ve visited this location three different days during a 7-day trial. The amount of equipment is genuinely impressive. Even during peak hours, there’s usually something available to use, which is a huge plus.
That said, two things really stood out to me that could use improvement: overall cleanliness and front desk hospitality.
The gym floors (main area, special rooms, and locker rooms) consistently had paper towels, leftover chalk, and noticeable grime. The locker room in particular felt like it needed more frequent attention. After observing how often staff were cleaning, it made sense why the facility looked the way it did — the effort in this area seems minimal.
On my first day, I approached the front desk with a couple of questions. I understand most people just scan in and go, but if someone is standing at the desk for a minute, it’s probably because they need assistance. Unfortunately, both staff members I interacted with that day came across as dismissive. I wasn’t offered a short tour or any kind of welcome. I gave them my number, and all I was told was, “You’re good,” before they turned away to help someone else.
I’ll likely still join because the price and proximity are great, but these two areas — cleanliness and staff engagement — could really use improvement. A little more attention and friendliness would make a huge difference in the overall member experience.

I really like coming to this gym. I go about 3-5 times a week. My main complaint is that they’re always out of paper towels or the towels are stuck in the dispenser. This makes it harder for customers to clean their machines after use. Also the locker rooms can get so nasty. The showers are gross, even wearing shower shoes I don't feel comfortable in there. I've only ever seen them deep clean the locker room once and I go there frequently throughout the week. Also the handicap shower could use some special attention.

Still refuses to allow membership cancellations via phone / email, despite gyms now being federally required to do so per the Click to Cancel Act.
Cancellation policy aside, the gym is musty as hell. The bathrooms have been filthy and humid since month 2, and there's no towel service so the machines are always gross. Many of the machines are also in various states of disrepair, with some of the cardio equipment sounding like it's one bad day from falling apart.
edit: attached a picture of my active membership to the location, since the owner (who presumably has full access to their own member list and is therefore knowingly lying through their teeth) is trying to imply in their response that comments about their gym's mustiness constitute a "false review" lmao

I wanted to share my experience at Crunch Fitness. I was considering switching back to planet fitness’s , but the outstanding service and care I received from the team here easily convinces me to stay with Crunch. Thanks to the excellent staff at Crunch Fitness, I am more than satisfied to continue my fitness journey here. The facilities are top-notch, the atmosphere is motivating, and the community is friendly and supportive. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out!

I’ve had my membership for almost two years and on multiple occasions contemplated cancelling until I found DeWitt and his classes. He has brought just a positive spirit and has personally inspired me to get back into fitness. As a former Division I athlete, I can tell you for sure that DeWitt knows what he’s doing and his classes show it. He has created such a strong sense of community in an otherwise quiet gym that has inspired many to join/continue in membership. Over the past few weeks DeWitts name has been removed from the schedule & I can tell you that if his classes are no more, I will gladly take my money elsewhere (and so will others). In large big-box gyms it’s hard to find good trainers/people and seeing them treated so poorly by management/ not appreciated for all their hard work is discouraging. Hope to see DeWitt back on the schedule soon & if not, take this as a sign to pick somewhere else. Thanks!

I can’t say enough good things about Dewitt at Crunch Keystone! His classes are absolutely top-notch, high energy, motivating, and genuinely fun. He takes the time to support you with your personal fitness goals, and you can tell he truly cares about helping you succeed.
Since taking his classes, I’ve seen results faster than I ever expected. He knows exactly how to push you in the right way, correct your form, and keep you engaged the entire workout. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to level up, Dewitt is the kind of instructor who will get you into shape quickly while making every session something you look forward to.
If you’re thinking about joining Crunch Keystone, do yourself a favor and try one of Dewitt’s classes. You won’t regret it!

Edit 4.
2 stars at this point. Not enough cleaning takes place, until that changes...can't go higher than 2.
Edit 3.
Back to a 1 🌟 review. The suana is DISGUSTING 🤢
Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in WEEKS!
Edit 2.
Emergency exit doors replaced properly.
Sauna back up and running after being broken for two weeks. I hope they keep up with cleaning. That's my biggest concern overall.
Edit 1.
Added new pics of fire exits (2 of them) that are padlocked. 🤔
The cleanliness was nice while it lasted...
The sauna is already filthy as well as the bathrooms. Trash all over the floor and counters. Shower that don't look they they are cleaned daily. Going to turn into the same gross gym that Planet Fitness on Keystone turned into.
There has to be DAILY cleaning in all parts of a gym or what's the point...
Also staff needs to be able to change the channels on the TV. No NFL on Sundays?

Then you have to go in and cancel in person exactly 30 days before your next payment or you have to pay 30$ to cancel. Just taking ppls money. Customer service was great but the company sucks!!!!🤮🤮

I was lied to. I work late hours, I asked specifically if this gym was 24/7 they told me it was 24/5 and on Google it says open 24 hours Mon-Fri, ok cool, well I come Friday at midnight, and it's closed. So now I wasted my money on a membership thinking it was 24 hours Monday-Friday which again, THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME, and they lied so they can get my money. The gym itself is fine, it also has a 3D scanner, so that's cool. But if you're like me and you work late nights and need a 24 hour gym, this isn't it.

Been going for almost a year and noticed an upswing in face timing, taking videos and pics in the locker room WHILE WOMEN ARE CHANGING!
People with tripods EVERYWHERE! Most people do not want strangers recording them when they work out, I don't! This much "content creation" should not be allowed in the gym, especially when its busy!
Content creators snap at other members just for walking and minding their own business because they "ruined the shot"
Cable machine attachments are left everywhere as trip hazards and the staff does nothing to enforce members to put things away. No wonder its always so dirty and cluttered.
You all really need to crack down and make your members respect the gym! Stop allowing these full grown children to record videos and making others feel uncomfortable! You need to do better!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. We visited and inside is not bad at all. What is completely ridiculous is when we tied to use the free fitness class (we picked 530 am) the building was locked and several people were standing around outside pissed off. Waited 20 minutes and left. We figured it could have been some sort of emergency, so we went back at 530pm, after signing up for the class and there was no class. We asked at the front check in desk, and said that if nobody was there, including the instructor, then "I guess there's not a class then". Tried to show them our sign up and the listing on their website, "I dunno - " was the only response.
First impressions mean a lot. This is definitely awful management. Yeah, the worst. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Total failure.

Tonight, the staff allowed a gym member (not a hired DJ) to come in with a big portable speaker and blast their personal music for the whole gym to hear while they worked out. I mean, I know they let people come in and record themselves while they work out, but this is something else. What if we all bring speakers like that? It was disrupting to say the least.

It’s crazy how this place nearly constantly is out of paper towels in bathrooms and on the floor. I’m not saying this is on the janitorial service guy, he seems on his game. This is on management. The gym is literally OUT OF PAPER TOWELS like 4-5 days a week. Manage your inventory, buy more well in advance of being out, and ensure staff is keeping the dispensers and bottles of cleaner full. Hire more people if your current staff can’t handle the task.
Also, clean the urinals. This place is gross.

It's a large gym with plenty of equipment, so most people can find what they need here. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. I have to only give 2 stars because on multiple occasions we have shown up with our children only to be told the daycare is closed (unexpectedly). The only reason we pay for the highest membership is to have access to the daycare. There is no way of being notified ahead of time unless you call, and usually you are on hold for a while when you do. This hasn't been once or twice but at least 5-6 times. What is the point of paying more when you can't use the service? I also just wish there was a way to be notified if it's closed, like via email.

Facility is nice . The staff here make you not want to come back tho. Most of them are rude. Started to work out at this location a couple days a week with 3 friends. I was confronted by a Trainer and told “ if you keep training people we will have to kick you out” I told the trainer “ I do NOT train people nor want to be a trainer at all I just work out with my friends like many other people do here “ I was given the most ugliest look ever from the trainer after. I asked a staff member in higher position the same day “ what can i do to avoid this problem again” I was told TO NOT WORK out in groups.. I feel treated unfairly because multiple groups of friends work out together at this location even in bigger groups than mine I do NOT promote myself being a Trainer in any way inside or outside the gym. Nor receive payment for working out with my friends

Update-
I had given this gym five stars but now I’m changing my review to two stars.
Warning: Misleading Personal Training Kick-Offs
I’ve been attending this gym for almost a year, and it started off great. Front desk staff and a previous trainer were fantastic. My only issue has been with the personal training management.
The “kick-off” sessions are misleading. You’re offered a low-cost intro, then pressured into a $1,000+ contract for 30-minute sessions over 90 days. PT management, especially the new manager Woody, gave conflicting info and didn’t understand their own policies or pricing structure. He refused to accept my cancellation of contract letter within the 7 day period and to refund payment that was not approved by myself. I had to get a new card from my bank because of this.
After waiting over an hour to speak with him, his boss confirmed I was right—but Woody was rude, refused to apologize, and wouldn’t even face me. Be cautious. Don’t rely on verbal promises—read everything carefully.

I’ve been coming to crunch for the past month, after coming in a couple of times I realized that they do not clean!!!
Their men’s sauna is absolutely disgusting, every time I walk in it smells musty and the floors are absolutely dirty, it seems like after all the negative reviews you’d think they did something, I even messaged the number they had a sign of to report anything wrong, but unfortunately nothing was ever done.
I’ve been to multiple gyms across the world, but nothing dirty like crunch. As much as I love this gym for being 3 mins from me, I wish they could do a better job cleaning.

I was really excited to try your gym after hearing all the great things about it. But after signing up, I went through a tough time and lost my job. I reached out to explain my situation and asked to cancel my membership.
Today, I noticed a $60 charge come out of my account that I absolutely cannot afford. I called the gym, and they told me I couldn't cancel via email or text—I had to come in. So I drove to the Keystone location and spoke with Ben. He didn’t care at all about my situation and flat out said there was no way I could get my money back. He told me it didn’t matter that I’d never even set foot in the gym, and that I couldn’t cancel because I still owed money. How could I owe anything when you just took $60 from my account?
I drove all this way for nothing, only to be treated like garbage because I needed help during a tough financial time. I won’t be coming back to any of your locations. I’m done with this gym and will make sure to warn others about my experience.

This place is so dirty and filthy it needs the health department called on it... I have several pictures accumulated over the course of the month of March of the nastiness of this gym. The staff doesn't take a interest in deep cleaning while they are here they only focus on meet n greets and the occasional vacuum the SAUNA is absolutely disgusting and bathrooms are nasty mainly in the evening.. there is ways trash and dirtiness in the sauna it's filthy and goes days without being cleaned properly..if it's not fixed by April I'm going to share the photos to the masses for I have talked to the manager about it and it's still an issue.. And if you look on the reviews others have posted and complained about cleaning of this gym.. The Michigan Rd location is never dirty whoever is in charge in this broad ripple doesn't care to fix this issue.
Well ya got till April or pics approximately 100 pics will be placed here online for the public to see this trifling establishment

Gym is overall good - has a variety of equipment, and people are nice. Rating 3 stars because I've watched the decline in cleanliness since it first opened and I wish this would be taken more seriously. Granted, it is a lot busier now. I also don't understand the $50 annual fee for "upkeep" when water fountains are constantly broken, locker rooms are dirty and smelly, sometimes machines are broken for weeks at a time, etc... what am I paying the fee for if this is the case? That's more than the cost of my own membership.

Trash surrounding the building and landscaping pretty much always. People walking around with no shoes or socks on the carpet (health code violation?). Kids club regularly not open and you don't find out until you arrive with your children and then have to leave. Very poorly run.

Even after five attempts they will refuse to cancel your membership when asked and continue to charge you anyway. Despite having it set up to make requests via their website they will demand that you be in person to cancel completely disregarding any rationale reason why thats not possible- which for me is not LIVING IN THE SAME STATE anymore.
Their response should show you all you need. what do yall want me to do phase across several state lines? get real

After giving Crunch Keystone since September 2024 to get their act together I feel it’s time I express my concerns regarding the ongoing cleanliness and maintenance issues at the facility, as well as recurring billing discrepancies.
Despite raising concerns about the unsanitary conditions of the locker rooms, I was met with repeated excuses about the lack of housekeeping staff from the GM. However, it is concerning that while a front desk employee has time to assist colleagues with workouts during their shift, basic cleaning tasks—such as maintaining restroom hygiene—are neglected. The GM also seems to be unbothered by the conditions since when I brought it up he acted like he was unaware and this was the first he’s hearing of it.
This morning (3/4/25), I was told the locker rooms were cleaned at 5 AM. While I did observe a female employee inside upon entering, there was no signage indicating her presence. More importantly, the same urine stains in the urinals from two weeks ago remain, raising questions about the effectiveness of the cleaning procedures.
Additionally, there are ongoing billing issues. I was double-billed for three months, and it took multiple escalations to resolve the matter. Given that membership fees are intended to support facility upkeep and proper staffing, these repeated issues suggest a serious mismanagement problem that may require corporate intervention.
I urge you to address these concerns promptly and provide a clear plan of action to ensure the facility is maintained to an acceptable standard. I would appreciate a response outlining the steps being taken to rectify these issues.
Sincerely,
A customer who is tired of wasting money

Beware of Personal Training Bait and Switch offers!
They will get you to sign up for 3 days per week with an assurance that you can scale it down after 4 weeks for a 3 month contract to either two days a week or one day a week for the remainder of your contract. Today I tried to downgrade to 1 day/week and was told my contract would have to change to 6 months and not the remaining two months. This is NOT what was explained to me by Kate. It’s uncouth when businesses get you to sign up using lies

I wanted to share my recent experiences with the Keystone Crunch Fitness location to provide constructive feedback. I understand that Crunch operates through a franchise model, but each location reflects the broader brand image. Unfortunately, my experiences have been disappointing enough to prompt me to cancel my membership.
The Positive:
The Keystone facility itself is impressive. Ample space, a wide range of equipment, and an effort to improve cleanliness through dedicated staff. I’d like to highlight Benji at the front desk for his outstanding customer service; he’s professional, courteous, and a real asset to your team.
The Issue:
After facing cleanliness and staff engagement issues at the Noblesville location (my original home gym), I started visiting the Keystone location, which is the next closest location to my home. I travel frequently for work in location with little to know cell phone signal. During a recent trip, my billing card was lost and I closed it with my back. Upon returning, I saw my VMs about my past due balance, I promptly updated my payment information and paid the past due. It showed as payment pending via the Crunch app when checking in on February 4. Benji verified the situation and allowed me access without issue (based on the app and my reciept) I was also able to check in smoothly on February 5.
However, on February 6, I encountered a negative experience. A new staff member flagged the past-due balance on my account. Before I could explain, an unidentified individual, dressed in regular gym attire without any clear staff identification, abruptly interjected. His approach was overly aggressive and dismissive, leaving no room for clarification. When I asked for his name and role, he identified himself as Wayne and he was the manager.
Despite my attempts to explain, Wayne remained confrontational, stating I wasn’t welcome at the gym until the balance cleared, even though the payment was pending in the system. His communication was unnecessarily hostile, lacking any semblance of customer service. Benji stepped in, acknowledging he had previously allowed my entry based on the payment status. Wayne then contradicted himself about the policy’s start date and concluded the exchange with, “If this continues beyond the next 24 hours, you’re not welcome,” before abruptly leaving.
My Concerns:
I have no issue with policies, I respect them fully. My issue is with Wayne’s delivery, which was needlessly aggressive and unprofessional. Treat the customers well, and they will treat you well. If the policy was communicated in a clear, effective customer service manner, I would still be a member.
The lack of consistency in applying policies across different staff members creates confusion.
The absence of clear staff identification contributed to an unnecessarily confrontational situation. My staff are not allowed to act in an offical capacity unless it is an emergency and must identify themselves promptly where they are in company attire or not (when dealing with customers).
Following this incident, I drove to Noblesville and canceled my membership. While I genuinely wanted to continue with Crunch Fitness, these repeated negative experiences have left me with significant dissatisfaction.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Investing in customer service training, particularly for managerial staff, could greatly enhance the member experience. Thank you for your time and attention.

I had been going to this gym for about 7 years since it was an LA Fitness. Only left because I moved. The gym itself is pretty solid. Plenty of equipment suitable for just about anyone's routine. I rarely felt like I couldn't get through my workout due to the number of people there. The only bad hours are the ones everybody already knows about (5-7). However, I agree with others here that the bathroom amenities are lackluster. My biggest personal gripe was the loss of paper towels in the men's restroom. But really if you're close by this gym will get the job done.
I am giving it 2 stars because of my experience with cancelling my membership. We all know the horror stories of cancelling gym memberships and I was determined to avoid this hassle. Here's the play by play: Went in person and was told by the front desk person I'd have to speak with someone else to process my cancellation (bad policy). The other person in question was one of the Fitness Directors who was in the process of closing some kind of sale with a customer. I stood waiting for 10 minutes or so until she became available, which is fine because business is business and I think it pays to be polite/patient.
Well I was wrong. I explained I was there to cancel my membership since I was moving, that I'd miss the gym, etc. She clickety clacked on the computer for a minute or so and said I was set...I should have asked for an email or hardcopy confirmation. Sure enough I got charged last month and had to dispute it with my credit card company. This morning they attempted to run my card again but it got blocked.
Please stop perpetuating these sorts of sleazy gym cancellation practices. It just leads to otherwise happy customers such as myself leaving reviews like this one.
12.25.2024 Response from management: Hello Michael. This gym has been opened less then to years. Maybe you have us confused with another local gym?
12.26.2024 Update: No confusion here. I was one of the many people who kept using this location after the ownership switch. Please see attached payments and dispute. Also, thanks for charging me again after my dispute went through through the first time -_-
2.2.2025 Final Update: I got a voicemail from their accounts/receivables department letting me know my payment had not gone through for my membership (because I disputed the payment and had to put a block on it). I called back and the rep told me my membership was still active, that I had a past due balance, and that it would have to be paid off if I wanted to cancel. Let him know no such payment would be made and promptly went to the gym in person...again. This time the rep actually cancelled my membership without any fuss or need for payment, then gave me a cancellation confirmation document (see attached). I am raising my review to 3 stars because the person I spoke with this time made things right even if the first one screwed me over.
*** In summary, when you are ready to cancel your membership do so in person and ask for an email and paper confirmation. Otherwise, you risk running into the same hassle I went through as outlined above.

I'm loving my membership here. It's very clean considering the huge numbers of people.
I also appreciate how often the sauna works: it's almost always hot. It's a solid hot room and I use it regularly.
The biggest downside is they don't have mirrors for people to do yoga or stretching in front of. That's extremely disappointing for me, because posture is so important for yoga.
My absolute favorite aspect of the gym is showers that get both really cold and really hot. I do cold exposure after working out and this is by far my single favorite aspect of this gym. Always need a way to get really cold and really hot, and they have it!
Thank you for a solid gym! Keep up the good work and please consider adding mirrors to the stretch zone!

This crunch location has been integrated into an old LA fitness location. The building architecture is very similar, only with the rebranding of Crunch fitness. The inside has been upgraded to crunch standards with plenty of weight lifting equipment to reduce the wait for those serious about pumping iron and static machines. Most, if not all, cardio is sanctioned off to the balconied second floor, similar to the standard LA fitness layout. Plenty of vending refrigeration for sports and protein drinks. Did not get a look at the locker rooms or bathrooms as visit was very brief.

Pros - Plenty of great equipment, solid sauna, affordable.
Cons - There is an admirable lack of effort and attention given to the cleanliness of this gym. There was brown material clogging the water fountain (literally where people drink), one hand sanitizer bottle in the ENTIRE facility, and dirt and hair under essentially every machine. I lifted a mat near the “Stretch Zone”, there were piles of hair.
Overall, I acknowledge running a gym is expensive and cost cutting is a reality, but the resources dedicated to cleanliness in this facility is completely unacceptable.

Crunch Gym locker rooms and showers are GROSS!-Love the hours, atmosphere is great, amenities (hydromassage &sauna when working) perfect. However, I'm a gym work person and I need the lockeroom and shower to make my gym routine work. Crunch Gym locker rooms and showers are GROSS! DISGUSTING! It's clear they don't clean everyday or every other day and this is at the Michigan Rd and Keystone locations. Bandaids, towels, dirt, bugs (ants and gnats), hair from weeks ago, old soap. I consider canceling my membership everytime I go. At the Michigan road location I texted the number provided in the lockeroom to inform them of the conditions and days later the same stains and trash were still there. At the Keystone location I spoke to an employee about the unsanitary shower area. They couldn'tsay when the last time it was cleaned nor when it would be. Hire a cleaning crew or stop taking people's money!
And I hate how management is responding to every comment except for those discussing the cleanliness of their gym. They know it's an issue and it appears they don't care. With an increase in new members around the 1st, things will only get worse.

On the crunch website it clearly states they are open Tues-Fri 12am-12am, but got asked to leave at 11 on Friday even though it literally says it on the gym website. Terrible location. Fountains aren’t maintained well. Locker rooms are a mess. Either go to a different location or pick a different gym like anytime. Claims to be 24/7 but really isn’t. Lol. Save your time and money and go somewhere else if you can. There’s better options for a good prices.

I have been working with a Personal Trainer, @ Crunch Fitness Keystone, Indianapolis, for nearly 3 months. It has been one of the best decisions I have made for my physical and mental health! Having been a runner for years, now at age 65, I was feeling pain in my knees and hips. I was fearful that running and any significant athletic improvement was no longer possible. I am so thankful for the day the PT director suggested an assessment and introduced me to PT, Jarel.
I am running again- smarter, and pain free! I feel amazing physically and can tell that my mental focus and stamina at work have improved as well.
I really like that he pushes me and really strives to create a fitness plan tailored to my needs and goals. I have grown to trust Jarel and his knowledge.
Along with the work outs, I also receive nutrition/recovery info and messages of encouragement between workouts.
This Crunch Fitness facility is large, clean, and equipped with multiple options for any fitness routine.
If you are looking for this kind of challenge and positive change- give them a call and ask for Jarel. Just don’t take my spot!!

I went here a handful of times, and every time, the gym and the bathrooms were filthy. This gym also allows influencers to set up tripods and filming equipment, which is unnecessary, dangerous, and not respectful of peoples’ privacy. I called in to cancel my membership in May and asked to have something emailed to me stating that it was canceled. This never happened and over the last few months I have been trying to call to get that email, and nobody ever answers at this location. This morning, I decided to call a different location and somebody answered the phone immediately and went above and beyond to make sure I got an email stating that my membership was canceled. DIFFICULT CANCELLATION
While a nice gym they are operating in bad faith. While attending it was decent I’d says 3/5 but as soon as I go away to college and go to cancel my membership I cannot get into the online portal to cancel. So I called them asking for them to cancel my membership and they said I had to show up in person. Or since I was out of state for college they said I had to write a hand written letter with a bunch of stuff on it and mail it to them. Do not sign up unless you want to jump through a million hoops to cancel
And the employee said it was the managers policy and I never ask to speak to the manager but I did today since I don’t want to be charged again. Then they said they were the manager and I go nowhere. And now I write this to tell you to not give a bad business your business. Hopefully they can rectify the situation

Where do I even start. Thomas is the absolute worse person I have ever met. The way he treated my sister is absurd. The micro aggression and literally pointing his finger in her face is simply outrageous. Lowkey felt profilled against. Due to the fact that you could have just taken a few minutes and see that the issue wasn't her fault and that the system made an error. Instead you just wanted her out of the gym. Its very disheartening to know that he is the assistant gm of crunch keystone. The way he represents the company needs to be evaluated and his position needs to be replaced. We literally had to ask another staff memeber to help because he didnt want to help us. Anthony is sooo beyond amazing and very helpful when it came to the issue and got it resolved in seconds. He should be gm and not Thomas. That position should be given to someone like Anthony who actually cares about the members of crunch fitness.

My personal trainer Jarel attempted to charge me for a personal training event when I went to work out with a friend, this is fact and was proven by records provided to me by Josh in upper management. I tried to get to the bottom of the situation thinking it was a mistake and was ghosted by Kate the personal training manager at Keystone after they refunded me the extra month of PT they tried to charge me for.
I had to escalate things to upper management and was eventually resolved. I had to fight tooth and nail to get to this point and was ultimately very frustrated by this entire process. Edit: got a response. Glad they talked to that one employee, everything will be better now. I promise this is not sarcasm.
I started going here when they first opened, and they were fantastic. Big gym, lots of equipment, just about anything you could need. Seemed like they opened a bit prematurely, because the first month they had issues with hot water not working (ice cold showers in the winter) or the water not working at all.
Now almost a year later I canceled my membership. The bathrooms are always disgusting, equipment hardly gets fixed (lay down leg curl machine has been broken for over 2 months, only one leg press machine as the other has been broken for over 2 months, BOTH water-filling stations have been broken for over 2 months, and all of these have yet to be fixed). The last straw for me was a couple of weeks ago. I went for an early morning workout (5:15am) on a Monday morning. Gym was closed. No signs, nothing posted online, lights off. Waited for 15 minuted before going to the gym at my work. Called Crunch later to see what's up and they said "it's hard to get good staff". Apparently it's hard to get a good GM too.
Working out at MEI fitness in Carmel now, absolutely love it. Worth paying a few extra dollars a month for a quality gym.

I was invited to go to Crunch Keystone for the CrunchOne event. I was excited to find that it was free and that the personal trainer I was paired with was okay. I want to start with the vibe of the place. I did not have a good vibe with this gym. When I walked in, it felt so gloomy, and the workers and personal trainers felt like they were judging me or did not even acknowledge my existence or smile. Personally, the gym is way too overwhelming and sad.
Now, with CruchOne and the personal trainer. I enjoyed Crunch One until we got to the pay. I did not want to pay $110 a session, and I felt so guilty for saying no to the personal trainer because I understand that is a tactic they try to do to lure you in. Makes you feel guilty. Also, the personal trainer, who was very kind and knowledgeable, said some things about other trainers that made me uncomfortable. To sum it up, they told me that if they (the other personal trainers) do not look fit, something is wrong with them, or they just do not have a passion for fitness. That left a very sour taste, confirming that I did not want to spend my money on it, and it was hard to leave. Also, they said sign-up was free, but I would be billed next Friday. I could freeze it, but only ten days beforehand, so I would have to pay that session amount since it was not ten days until the next billing. Absolutely not. I will continue going to Crunch, as it is a fantastic gym, just not in this location.

Almost impossible to cancel your membership. You cannot call to cancel. You cannot cancel via signed documents over email. You HAVE to be in person or send a letter. Also, once you cancel you have to pay another month’s fee due to their inability to cancel your membership within 30 days. Great gym, Terrible business practice and ethics. I will not get another Crunch membership and will inform others of their money grabbing policies.

literally the scummiest gym i have ever been to. they make it seem like it’s mandatory to sign up for their “complimentary”(it costs $10) crunchONE appointment, so they can basically make a sales pitch for you to spend even more money on one of their personal trainers. they make you feel embarrassed about your body during the appointment too. then they find ways to sneak in fees and charge you multiple times for the same thing, and the only way to cancel the membership is to physically go in and cancel. i have never had such an awful experience with a gym and i advise everyone to stay as far away as possible. it’s not worth your stress.

Gym and equipment are nice quality however once you sign up, they will pester you to take personal training classes and when you do want to cancel they will make you jump through hoops and give you miss information over the phone and charge an extra month.

Excellent facility with all the equipment you need in that regard. Bathroom areas could be cleaned better. down side is bait and switch advertising for free shirt. You have to pay $10 for a body scan to get your “free shirt”. It made me feel silly for even asking 😅

Recently toured the gym. Not impressed with staff or cleanliness. The clerk didn't know the facility well, as he had only been there for 2 days. They need to clean up, shine glass, etc. AND he did not ask me any questions, not even my name.

I wanted to share my experience at Crunch Fitness. I was considering switching to VASA, but the outstanding service and care I received from the team here, especially Sophia, convinced me to stay with Crunch. Sophia's positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine care for members made all the difference. Thanks to Sophia and the excellent staff at Crunch Fitness, I am more than satisfied to continue my fitness journey here. The facilities are top-notch, the atmosphere is motivating, and the community is friendly and supportive. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out!

If anyone give this business 5 stars. They are paid for. They are shady. Will harass you about personal trainers. They will charge nearly $50 for annual fee then take $60 from your account. You can't cancel! I'm reporting to company to BBB.

Honestly this is the best gym that I've ever gone to. This one girl at the front gave me a rundown of the place, her name was Sophia Tipmore I think, and she was so sweet and respectful. She definitely knew what she was talking about. The machines are all super nice. They literally have a space for every single type of workout there is and a lot of options for classes, so I'm definitely getting a membership.

I have been visiting and looking at different gyms since I just moved to the area. None of the other gyms had employees as nice and helpful as Blythe was. I asked her about their membership and pricing as well as any class that they might offer. She was very knowledgeable and was able to find the answers for me if she didn't know. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking.
