This place is home. The community even during the pandemic is amazing. I love Jesi's noon classes! Sarah's classes are sweat-tactic! But really everyone is amazing. Ekah isn't just a yoga studio, it is a community. Thanks for all you do Ekah!

Without a doubt the best yoga studio I’ve been to! Every instructor is so beyond qualified, not only through technical instruction and professionalism but also purity of intention and spiritual knowledge.
Ekah was a sanctuary of healing, love and growth for me during my time at IU.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful community! Much love ❤️

I can't even express how much this studio has changed my life for the better. What wonderful people the instructors are and since it is a small intimate studio, you make friends with many of the attendees too! So many of the instructors have been so warm and welcoming and it makes me feel so at home and loved! Sara Peters, Jessi Joy, and Crystal all have such warm souls!
I also love the variety offered here! I originally came for Ann's Pilates class (and am still a loyal follower), but have ventured out to try so many other classes like hip hop hot yoga, Just Core, Kundalini, Yin styles, kettlebells --seriously, I can't believe the options and it keeps things super fresh and fun! I end up coming 3-5 times a week! I went from couch potato/desk worker to now having a bit of a six pack hahaha
I am FOREVER GRATEFUL to have this studio in my life and am so sad to think of the day when we leave Bloomington and I'll have to part ways with Ekah (can I pleeeease take this studio with me across the country?!?!)

This small studio is filled with positive energy--it's the place where I came to appreciate, and then love, different types of Yoga. (I actually disliked Yoga before, being naturally very impatient and unfocused. You might be able to guess from that how much a year at this studio has helped me . . . and my lower back feels so much better also!) The owner of the studio, Crystal, is a genuinely kind person, and that is what makes it all work. She also teaches classes--and is a skilled and patient instructor.
I am most devoted to Kundalini Yoga with Mervyn Alphonse. This class is every Wednesday and 5:30 p.m. (and most Sundays at noon).
There are other Kundalini-based classes and workshops, like Philip's Meditation class on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., which includes crystal bowls and gong at the end after meditation.
Another regular for me is Ruth Cohen at noon on Tuesday and/or Thursday and Mallory Rose on 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ruth and Mallory are amazing--they both bring a lot to each class beyond excellent Yoga instruction.
I feel bad not mentioning everyone I've enjoyed classes with. I can't think of any classes I haven't gotten a lot from, even if they aren't ones I go to regularly.
I will always be grateful for my practice with the beautiful instructor Jacqueline--Jacqueline is one of those rare people that glows with love, and the way her students feel about her is representative of what a good community this is.

Ekah Yoga is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all levels of students. They offer a variety of classes for many different types of yogis - including Vinyasa Heat Hip Hop, Sunrise Flow, Hatha yoga, and even Patio yoga on Saturday! I've been attending classes at this studio for a little over a month now and I cannot recommend it more. It's a quaint space filled with positive energy - definitely worth checking out!

Ekah Yoga is my home away from home. It is a joy to practice with skilled and varied instructors in a nurturing small-studio atmosphere. My chronic back pain is on the way out and I’ll soon wean myself of the monthly visits to the chiropractor. I’m growing stronger and love going to class, sharing my experience with other students. Thank you, Ekah!
