I swim and lift weights and have a bad lower back. All of the yoga classes I’ve tried have been tremendously helpful for muscle recovery and increased mobility. I would highly recommend this class for any guys looking to add guided stretching and core strengthening exercises into their workout routine.

Carrie’s knowledge of anatomical body movement shows in her skill of guiding students through a thoughtfully curated flow of poses to explore inner body dynamics! As a seasoned yogi, I am choosy about instructors and classes; the Hatha flow level 1-2 offered me opportunity to build strength and also acknowledge appreciation of excellence for her guidance and ability to incorporate pieces of beauty of musical and poetic touch to remind us the importance to stay present despite urges to be somewhere else.
The luxurious shower amenity was a lovely blessing and the fully stocked studio supply of props and availability for purchasing in their check in space was also much appreciated.
I’m partial to Manduka products and I purchased a new mat in a print and texture I hadn’t seen before and Love it! Again, Carrie shared excellent product knowledge that gives you confidence in choosing the right fit for you.

I have been practicing at Element Yoga for the past 3 years. This studio has high standards of quality in their instruction, but they are not at all a pretentious studio. You will find people of all sizes, genders, ages, and skill levels in every class. I have attended classes with many of the instructors and all have been a great experience. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a safe place to practice yoga.

Element does a great job of teaching and talking me into the yoga postures. My yoga practice has expanded greatly by participating in the classes here.

I am able to sign up for classes online and if I can’t make a class there is an online library!!

The environment is cultivated to be peaceful and inclusive to all!

I have been practicing yoga at Element for about two and a half years now. In terms of the physical benefits, I've gotten stronger and more flexible. Yoga has really helped me level up my running.

Most importantly, yoga at this studio has helped me lead an intentional life. I cannot overstate the benefits of yoga in the area of mental health, at least that's been the case for me.

I recommend yoga at Element for everyone.

I did the spring cleanse with Carrie last year and am excited to do it again this year. Last year the experience turned my life upside down. 3 prescription drugs I have taken for years have been stopped with my physician's blessing. I am 50 lbs lighter just from changing my diet. And better yet do not feel that I am missing out on any favorite foods, I just don't want or crave those foods anymore. I sleep better, and have more energy than I have had in decades. This experience is life changing. Thanks Carrie

I can't say enough about Element Yoga and their amazing staff. I was originally looking for something to enhance my meditation practice, and had recently read about Ayurveda. I've lived in this area most of my life, and thought there was absolutely no way I would find an Ayurvedic Practitioner in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when I did the Google search and the first entry that came up was Element Yoga & Ayurvedic Wellness on Market St. in New Albany. Less than ten minutes from my house. I couldn't believe it! I immediately scheduled my first consultation with Carrie, and my wellness journey began. As soon as I walked in I was blown away with the facilities at Element. The Kula Center is a beautiful building and everything was clean and spotless. A peaceful calm comes over you as soon as you pass through the door. I had an amazing, transformative consultation with Carrie, and I instantly scheduled my next session after our first. She gave me full insight into Ayurveda, which is the world's oldest health practice. She told me how to implement the ancient practices and tools into my life and my daily routine. I was fascinated by her knowledge and ability to explain this medical system that goes back thousands of years. I learned so much, and was eager to put these principles into practice. Yoga is the "sister system" of Ayurveda so I signed up for a yoga package that included the first two weeks for only $20! That was a great deal!! I went to the yoga classes as much as I could over those first two weeks, and I was hooked. I felt so much better after every class. I couldn't believe the difference. Not to mention how knowledgeable and friendly all the instructors were. It was truly a life changing experience. I am so happy and grateful to have found Carrie and the entire staff at Element Yoga. Thanks to them I have a whole new outlook and passion for life. Yoga and Ayurveda will be a foundation in my life for many years to come, and I have everyone at Element to thank for that. ~Namaste~

I love the Inner Spring team. I’ve practiced yoga for 7 years starting with in-home videos, then YouTube videos, and when I finally felt more financially stable to sustain an in-person practice, it took a while to find the right fit. But the first minute of my first practice at Inner Spring, it clicked. Their guidance, the way they teach, the focus in movement in transitions to prevent injury, the variety of classes. And the way the team pivoted during Covid to stream online was incredible. I feel safe at Inner Spring in so many ways. It is the perfect blend of spiritual, emotional and physical balance and I am so grateful for what the provide to this community.

I do not live near a traditional, yoga studio. (The price we pay for living without neighbors)
I have to drive to visit one. Of all the places I have visited, I have never felt more welcome! The genuineness of joy that I have experienced here is real.

Fantastic instruction and a wonderful community. I’ve been attending classes for approximately 9 months; the classes are consistently excellent and I’ve never felt better. One great thing about ISY is the variety of styles of yoga and intensities. You can choose to work up a sweat in a level 2 class, get completely refreshed and rejuvenated with a restorative yoga class, or work on joint mobility in a yin yoga class. I can’t say enough good things about ISY; regardless of the class, I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in. I maintain a fairly intense fitness regimen and my yoga practice through ISY allows me to enjoy significantly enhanced recovery and durability. I’m grateful to have ISY in New Albany!

So happy to be back doing Hatha yoga with Bree. I like that I can go to either studio and to any class with any instructor that I choose. My schedule works best for the class taught by Bree. I had been doing yoga at another location and having to see my chiropractor about every 3-4 weeks and once I started with Inner Spring I was able go 2 months before seeing my chiropractor. Always feel great after practice and like the fact that they let "me" make my own adjustment for "my" body as I have problems with vertebrae in my back. I have never come out of a practice with any injuries.

Absolutely in love with this studio! Both the New Albany and Jeffersonville locations are inviting and comfortable for all bodies and minds. All the teachers I've had the chance to practice with are observant and helpful when it comes to correcting alignment and making modifications for you specifically. Can't wait to see/practice in the Kula Center!

Where to start! I am a new student at inner Spring Yoga..
A daughter bought me the 30 classes for $30 pass as a gift.
Two of my daughters have taken Yoga teacher training and as they watched me have some stiffness and discomfort from osteoporosis and aging( I turn 76 in a couple of weeks) they thought yoga would help me with flexibility.
I began at inner spring in January..
tentative is too generous a word to describe my first efforts...but the trained teachers are amazing..
They are firm, warm, insightful women who each in her own way guides us through classes that leave me tired but exilerated.
I grow strongerweek by week..
The proof as they say is in the pudding.. I run up stairs now where once I held on to the railing.. I move through the yoga asanas with little or no discomfort...my last bone scan showed improvement in bone density.. and best of all I attend yoga classes every week.
Inner Spring is warm and welcoming and embraces every student wherever she ( or he) is.. the studios are beautiful and the yoga training will I promise you change You inside and out!

Inner Spring is a lovely yoga studio with 2 beautiful locations in southern Indiana. I don't live in the area but visit my mom every few years and I love having a space to practice in away from home. Carrie and all of her teachers are great, welcoming, friendly, and accessible. Would definitely recommend!

Inner Spring Yoga was my 1st introduction to regular yoga practice, and it literally changed my life. I returned home from a few months abroad, where I tried Yoga once in Bali, and wanted to find a regular place to practice. Carrie and all of the instructors at Inner Spring were so amazing, and emphasized that any skill level was welcome at their studio. Everyone became family, and I became a regular at class. They offer so many classes in different types of Yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, etc.) and have various workshops throughout the year. I've since moved away from the Southern Indiana area to Portland, but I miss my Inner Spring family immensely. I look forward to coming back in every time I'm in town and practicing with you all!

It was quite an experience. I would like to do it again but after the first class, I had some discomfort due to injury from an auto accident. Perhaps I was too eager, should have waited a little longer before attempting. Instructor was spot on . Her voice was very soft and relaxing but I had some difficulty hearing her. If I attend another class, I will try to move closer to the front.

Inner Spring Yoga was the first yoga studio I have ever attended and my favorite studio to date. As a beginner, every instructor was very understanding and willing to assist. They provide many options for varying a pose whether that is to make the poser easier or more difficult.

I am a 62 year old man, who had little flexibility, much back pain, and rheumatoid arthritis before starting at Inner Spring Yoga, which helped a great deal in all areas. I really like the way Carrie & Lydia talk the class thru each breath & posture. I am much healthier and happier for the experience. You really should try it!
