The commons are a good resource for our community. I enjoy using the indoor track for walking after work when the weather outside is bad or too hot. However I was disappointed to learn that the afternoon open-walking sessions were cut to just two days a week during the hottest time of the year.

We utilize this pool for SCUBA training and certifications. The bottom of the pool has become really slimy over the past few months. Looks to be an algae growing on the walls of the dive well. Thinking of wearing a wetsuit next time we train, as it's freezing cold too.

I went into the Elkhart health aquatics center for the 1st time on December 2022. I went in to get a membership to the center and was treated wonderfully. The staff there are so courteous and respectful. I have yet to go to exercise or use the facility but it is a beautiful place inside and out and the staff is phenomenal!

I’ve been going to this gym for over a year and the facility couldn’t be better. Always clean and well taken cared of. I started seeing a personal trainer (Rachel Allen) a few weeks ago. Rachel is the most compassionate, uplifting, aggressively positive woman I’ve ever met. I have no doubt any goal I have is possible with her patience and positive mindset. Not to mention her wide range of knowledge to keep me informed and safe! I personally wouldn’t trade gyms for anything.

I've been interested joining this gym for a while. When I called for info I asked if I could try out the gym for 1 day free too make sure it was a good fit. I was told it was okay on the phone, the following day I arrived ready to workout but the front desk associate told me it would be a $15 fee to workout. I'm fine with paying the membership and enrollment fee but I don't understand why they can't allow a one time try of the gym before you make this investment. I will stick with who I use now, very disappointed.

This is a great venue for swim meets. The seating is fairly comfortable and always plenty of seats. There are places you can stand up to watch or take kids. Viewing is great. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We attended a weekend division swim meet here. The facility is very clean and spacious. The pool area provides a competition pool, warm-up area, and diving well. There is also a separate area for water therapy and aerobics. The lighting is very well done. The HVAC system keeps spectators cool while watching the races.

I was a member for a few years. The facilities were nice when they opened but have not been well maintained. I was on a family plan but their rules aren’t really conducive to families with young kids.

I attempted to cancel my membership with plans to pick it back up once my kids are older so they can participate in more programs. After finally getting someone of the phone to cancel my membership they would not let me without buying out the rest of my contract (roughly $350).

I tried to explain my situation to the manager Heather and that I was planning re joining when it makes sense for my family.

She did not care and decided the best course of action was to be abrasive and send me to collections when I refused buy out the remainder of my contract.

I am really disappointed in this because I had really high hopes for the aquatics center and what it could mean for the community. I have talked to quite a few people in the area that have had similar experiences.

Really nice aquatics center!

Seemed pretty new. 3-or 4 pools. The seating were actually seats, not just long metal bleachers. Also, they kept the temperature well controlled for the spectators.

I hope if we have another meet in Elkhart, it is at this center.

The reason i gave it two stars at this time is because you pay for a membership to swim in the members pool- which has gone up $5 this year to $55 because of “inflation”- but then you have to time out when to swim IN that member pool! Early in the morning? Can’t because of an aerobics class. Later morning? Can’t because of local schools swimming lessons {even though there’s an Olympic size pool that’s regular temperature right across the way they could get lessons in}. This has pretty much been the theme for myself and my friends I’ve made in the last year; trying to juggle when it is i can swim in the “member pool” without being crammed or having to wait. And I’d rather not wait until 1:00 pm when the pools finally a welcome spot to swim in.
Unfortunately, many of us have addressed it and haven’t seen a change yet. Here’s to hoping 🥂

We used to go here but recently moved. It was kind of a hassle to stop the renewal of our membership. The first guy we talked to was super shady and said he would take care of it later that evening. I was doubtful that this actually happened, so I went in later that week and talked to someone else. Turns out our membership was never set to NOT renew, so the other guy did it for us. There is no confirmation email or anything, so I had to bug them several times to give some type of confirmation which they eventually did.

Otherwise, we enjoyed coming here but it wasn't perfect. The facility is clean, the staff is mostly friendly, and there's lots of equipment to choose from. But our main gripe was that it gets BUSY. High school kids crowd around equipment and hog it. People hog weights by their bench. Parking is non-existent. When I went to Planet Fitness, people were more courteous and I didn't have as many issues there (ironically).

If you're not there to use the pool or go to the classes, I would recommend going to another gym and saving on the $55 a month. Also, the contract you sign is for a YEAR. So don't bother trying to cancel 3 months after you sign up, because you are committed until that renewal date.

The facility is awesome, especially the fact that you have the option to go to all 4 aquatic centers in the area. Unfortunately, I wouldn't trust the baby sitting center especially the one in elkhart the girls do not do a good job watching your kids I was standing outside the door looking through the glass watching a much larger kid beating my one and half year old in the head with a toy while the babysitter was on her phone... yeah, I went off!!! and canceled that part of the membership.

My personal experience: most staff is rude and unhelpful. Parking is constantly a nightmare, there’s no spots for members, the machine are always in use and have a line. When issues are brought up with staff they respond condescendingly and are rude. They just raised their prices as well. So, poor experiences for more money. Overall, not a good experience or place to spend your time.

We had our daughter's 5 year old birthday party here. We rented out one of the conference rooms for presents and cake. We had about 30 minutes to decorate the room before our scheduled time.

We purchased a package with a half basketball court and the other half bounce house for the kids. It was a ton of fun.

They even included a special gift as a thank you!

Their swim classes were great until Emily left. Now they got rid of a bunch of classes and are punishing long time loyal parents by no longer offering them early registration due to the changing schedule. We've been loyal there over a year and now have lost the option to continue along with almost every other parent in our class. Horrible. Not to mention the other swim instructors are less than great, I expect the program to go downhill fast.

The facility is wonderful, the Aquatics Director (Kevin), not so much. Besides his inability to return emails and calls when trying to schedule swim lessons for my son, he (ironically) had the audacity to ask my son and I to leave the pool because "kids are only allowed in the pool during approved kid hours (aka during the work day) or when taking swim lessons, unless they are able to swim in the lap pool by themselves." We had a family membership with pool access for over a year but he told me and my child that he "could not just let anyone in here." My son — who is FIVE — still asks if that was the place we were kicked out of every time we drive by. He couldn't understand why he had to get out of the pool, he wasn't splashing or being loud, he was practicing swimming. I was embarrassed and horrified about the whole situation. We immediately canceled our Beacon membership.

Had he been responsive to my requests for swim lessons, we probably wouldn't have been in the pool to begin with.

Expensive but worth it. They have so many options available to you. You can do your workouts with weights and restriction machines, or join an in-person OR virtual class. Everything is nice and clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. All around, a good gym to join.

Beautiful new(er) facility! My son did diving here for the first time and it was big, clean, and nicely finished. We were primarily in the pool/diving area so I can't comment from a personal experience on the other services offered here but from what I could see, it was all quite nice. I'm not exactly sure how their pricing works but strictly from an aesthetic standpoint, you won't be disappointed. I would probably pay a little more for this place than another because it smelled good, looked clean, and had a nice, new vibe. We'll go back again!

The pool is large and warm. It well lit, the score board is large and very nice. There are driving board as well and a large audience seating area that is up high and gives a great view of the pool.

We have used this awesome facility over the years for competitive swimming with our children. We are blessed to have this available to athletes to our surrounding states! The added event parking was needed and very much appreciated! HOWEVER, it would be great if the "lack of lighting" could be addressed asap. It has been mentioned on few occasions that there is no working light to illuminate that parking area and doesn't seem to be remedied. It's very difficult to see patrons in the pitch dark, as well ability to park the car. Safety of patrons of all ages and mobility stages should be taken into consideration here, especially these Winter months of ice, snow and darkness. Thank you for your diligence in this matter!
