Once again, I am thrilled to leave the highest praise and review for FFW. I'm beyond pleased! Bridget was my good luck charm there—so kind, patient, thorough, and insightful for this newbie to the neighborhood who just wanted a simple gym to get fit in. This gym is far more than that. It should have been evident from Bridget’s welcoming personality that the rest of the place would be equally approachable and well-stocked with nearly every exercise accessory and piece of equipment you can think of, used by locals who (so far) are just down-to-earth, hearty folk. Together, the atmosphere is so pleasant—I don’t know how else to describe it. That family-oriented branding is well-placed and fits perfectly; as I enter my third week of regularly using the gym, everyone inside seems friendly and kind.

Thankfully, I have not yet seen the gym so crowded that it’s impossible to use any machines. It seems this huge converted warehouse is large enough that there are only a handful of fitness-goers in any given space at a time. It’s not eerily empty nor uncomfortably crowded—it’s just right, at least for me.

Another thing I found praiseworthy is how this gym makes an obvious and sincere effort to look out for the elderly community. Their SilverSneakers program caters especially to this demographic, and it’s a model I honestly have not seen anywhere else (not even in NYC) when it comes to gym use and marketing. This delicate touch is really endearing to see.

Given how much this gym offers its members, I am BEYOND GRATEFUL that it’s still priced at an affordable rate. As of my signing this month, it was $38 USD per month—all-inclusive of the vast majority of classes offered—and it even includes access to a sauna! I just love this place! And I don’t even normally like gyms!

So, if you’re looking for a new place to work out with sociable fitness-goers, a friendly staff, and a calming, non-competitive atmosphere, consider taking a look at this gym. I think it will tick all your boxes.

I have been a member here for almost three years, and I am giving two stars (instead of one) just because the front desk staff are friendly and conscientious. In every other way, this is the worst gym I have ever belonged to-- primarily because of the rudeness of many of the patrons.

Here are some examples of members' behavior that I've observed at this gym in recent months:
- having long conversations on speakerphone (no headphones) with the volume turned up, while occupying a weight machine or hogging other equipment
- FaceTiming *in the sauna* while other patrons are present
- leaving large numbers of heavy weights (totaling 200 lbs. or more) on equipment, thereby making it unusable by patrons like me who are smaller, older, and/or have joint problems
- leaving trash in the toilet area, near water fountains, etc.

The amount of discourteous and selfish behavior I've observed here makes it hard to do the two things that I pay ~$40/month to do here: work out and relax. If it were not the only gym near my house, I would have canceled my membership already.

If you have other gym options, I recommend you take advantage of them. And if you are a member of this gym, I hope you will try to foster an environment of greater respect and consideration here.

This gym has a nice selection of equipment, kind staff, and an amazing community. It’s the perfect gym for both experienced lifters and new lifters. I started coming here just a few months into my weightlifting journey, and now, 1.5 years later, it still feels like the ideal place to grow and improve.
