FXB has changed my life. Classes are high-energy, fun, and the kind that make you walk out feeling proud of yourself. The instructors and other members push you in the best way and make you feel like you can do anything, so when your muscles burn and you question whether or not you can keep going, they're always there to cheer you on.
The workouts are great, but what really sets FXB apart is the community and support — the coaches and owners truly show up for you with real guidance on nutrition, help you set goals that actually matter, and hold you accountable so you can achieve those goals. I've never been someone who just loves working out, but FXB is my absolute favorite place. I love the people I've met so far and they'll keep me coming back for a long time. Honestly, I don't think I can ever go back to a regular gym -- this place is the best.

I have never been much of a go to the gym or the type to work out period …until trying FXB. My only regret is not trying it years ago! Everyone is so helpful and welcoming. If you’re on the fence about giving it a try I highly recommend you do it! I’m not only loosing weight and getting stronger but I feel so much better mentally and physically!!!!

Started my journey at FXB almost 3 years ago to get back into shape and spend time with my boyfriend since he went there everyday and instructed some classes as well. As someone who knows a thing or 2 about fitness I am not easily impressed by gyms, however the warmth I was welcomed with definitely started things off well. Over the next almost 3 years I have achieved a level of fitness I didn't think I would ever get back! I am mentally and physically in the best place I have ever been in! The people that instruct/coach here are amazing a really care. FXB is truly like family and it's kind of our home away from home!

FXB Columbus is completely what you make of it. While you participate in group classes, you can go at your own pace and set your own comfort level with speed and band weights. You can also modify an exercise to suit you. You’re there for yourself, no one else. The owners, instructors and coaches are there to support your individual journey and goals.

FXB is such a unique and amazing gym! I joined FXB in a ten-week challenge in July of 2024. I had just moved to Columbus after getting married and knew no one in the area, aside from my husband. I knew I wanted to join a gym, but I was also looking for community. FXB gave me that and so much more. This gym has changed my life not only helping me become a healthier person both mentally and physically, but has given me some amazing friends! More than a gym, FXB is an experience. This is not your typical gym where you go to do your own thing and maybe someone will talk to you and guide you, or where instructors already have an established class and you have to figure out your own way to get to where everybody is in the class.
When you go to your first class at FXB you not only have amazing instructors that make classes fun and that are just like you; they may be teaching the class, but they are also taking the same classes, going through their own journey and working hard to reach their goals! You have coaches that will show you from point A to point B, C, and D everything you need to know to get started, they guide you, they continuously check on you to make sure you are ok because they have been in your shoes and they know what you are going through, and if that was not enough, everyone that attends the classes are so nice, welcoming and helpful, that you feel like part of a community, they encourage you, cheer you on, give you tips and even recipes to help you succeed. I highly recommend FXB if you are looking for a place to reach your fitness goals, feel better and be part of an amazing and fun community.

It’s not too hard to say what FXB Columbus has done for me. I attended my first class on Labor Day 2024, and decided that I was going to do the five week kickstart program. Shortly after during those five weeks I started to feel stronger and felt the endorphins from regular workouts. I attended the first 10 week party 3 weeks into the kickstart program and watched all the fit members, coaches and instructors having a good time. It was then that I decided that FXB was going to be a regular part of my life. Kickstart ended and I jumped immediately into the 10 week challenge. It was during this 10 weeks that I really started to make friends and all the while feeling stronger and more sure of myself. When the 10 weeks that challenge ended, I got four awards, silent ninja, perfect attendance, beast on the bag, and I was the 1st male runner up. I didn’t win the entire challenge but, I was a winner anyway, I became a fit member the following Monday, and decided that I was going to coach the next group of 10 weekers. During this time I felt great personal fulfillment helping others achieve their best and I made even more friends. Fast forward to the end of those 10 weeks and my coach pushed me to start instructor training! Another 10 weeks passed and I have instructed 12 classes with more on the way.
If you ever wanted to get healthier, always wanted to work out, but hated the awkwardness of going to a gym alone, FXB Columbus is your answer. At 54 and counting I may be in the best shape I have been in since I was in my 20’s.

What a place! If you're looking to workout with a group of motivated people, this is where you gotta go. I initially just joined FXB due to a wrist injury and being unable to hit the gym but its been a while I haven't looked back at the gym. I think its the place, the instructors, your fellow workout mates, all of it is just a great combination to keep you going and hit your physical goals!

I'm on week 9 of my 10 week challenge, and I had decided by week 2 that I would be continuing classes indefinitely.
I came in with nearly no experience beyond highschool gym class and I feel confident and comfortable in my skin at every moment of the process. (Outside of the obvious body exertion.)
Every member of the staff has been wonderful.
I joined hoping that by ten weeks, I would have made a habit of exercising, and I'm confident that I achieved this goal.
I'm extremely grateful to have found this gym.
And both my physical and mental results are impressive. I can only imagine what all I'm capable of from here.

Joining FXB Gym has been a transformative journey for me. It's more than a gym.After gaining 12–15 lbs due to a sedentary lifestyle and facing a persistent knee injury from playing basketball , I realized I needed to prioritize my health. Motivated by health concerns such as elevated triglycerides, borderline LDL, , I enrolled in FXB's 5-week Kickstarter program with 6 AM sessions to fit my busy schedule.
The program helped me build a consistent workout routine, refine my form, and address my nutrition needs despite being 80% vegetarian with a carb-heavy diet. With the support of FXB coaches—Allyson, Cassie, Jay, Chris, and Jessica—I stayed motivated and consistent, overcoming initial challenges.
By week eight, my hard work paid off. My lipid panel and metabolic markers normalized for the first time in five years, and my overall fitness improved significantly. This experience not only improved my health but I won 10 Week Challenge as well.Thanks Team-FXB.

I love this place! Awesome gym that is so versatile with who joins. It provides a challenge for seasoned gym goers and first timers. I am challenged by strength, mobility, endurance, flexibility, and etc. I have done different workouts from CrossFit to insanity and this hits so many different aspects like no other. It's not just a gym, it's a community!
I joined FXB Columbus in March 2024. Tbh, I wasn't expecting much when I enrolled - I was extremely obese, led a physically inactive lifestyle and I didn't think I would be able to pull through. So when I enrolled in the 10-week challenge, I mentioned in my goal card that I wanted to lose "10 pounds" by the end of 10 weeks. I felt even that was pretty ambitious. But as I attended the workout sessions, I realized that I wasn't alone. I noticed everyone (regardless of how long they had been here) had their own set of goals they were working on. Everyone was pushing each other to keep going, to achieve those goals, to lead a healthy lifestyle and have fun while at it. You make some good friends along the way, so that's an added bonus. The instructors design the workouts really well to ensure you get all your muscles worked up in the right way and every week is different. There are special events from time to time that keep you excited and challenged. Everything is very professional - you have coaches and nutrition specialists to give you individual attention and technology that does in-body scans periodically.
And if that has not been convincing enough, let me share some numbers with you, as numbers don't lie. From March to July 2024, I lost more than 30 pounds, cut down my 1-mile run time by 6 minutes, went from 26 pushups in a minute to 54 in a minute, went from 23 situps in a minute to 37 in a minute, finished in the top 3 of the 10-week challenge and much more.
That 10 pound goal I chalked out in the beginning doesn't seem too unrealistic now, does it? If I can do it, anyone can. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND FXB COLUMBUS to anyone wanting to do something productive and fun with their time. Come try it out and see the results for yourself.

FXB is the most challenging, yet enjoyable and effective way to get into incredible shape. I loved going through the 10-week challenge, pushing myself and being pushed by coaches and instructors, seeing incredible results. I was so soft and pudgy coming in, and now, I love being ripped and having a strong core. I can do lunges holding both of my kids! Great place! Love the alternate kickboxing and strenth training classes and the best part of the gym are all the instructors and the coaches. They really care for you, checkin with you and guide you throughout the program. They also do in-body scans and are even starting yoga from this April. FXB literally changed my life…
This is an incredible program unlike any other! It is different than going to the gym, and it is not a standard workout class either. It offers its members so much more!
I had recently moved to Columbus, Indiana for a new job, and I didn’t know anybody in town. My new job was a sedentary desk job, and I ended up gaining quite a bit of weight as a result. I had started using food as comfort for my stress. Before long, I had dug myself into a hole that I couldn’t get out of by myself. I tried going to the gym, but I would get self-conscious about how much I could lift or if I was using the correct equipment.
Luckily, I was fortunate enough to find Farrell’s Extreme Bodyshaping of Columbus! I entered their 2022 Winter 10-week kickboxing program, and it changed my life! The FIT members, coaches, and instructors all made me feel at home. Everyone was so encouraging and just wanted to see me succeed in the program! The owners, Sean and Jenny McAuliffe, bring such great energy and a family atmosphere to their business which are both reasons why I think it’s so successful. There were so many great things I was able to take away from the program like accountability, self-control with food, and becoming a healthier, happier version of myself! I was able to trade my self-consciousness for self-confidence which is something I will always be grateful for.

At the encouragement of a friend, I participated in the FXB 10-week challenge about eight years ago and became a member soon thereafter. After recently popping back in for a class while on a visit home, I can say that the following still holds true: FXB boasts a friendly staff, highly-motivating coaches, good tunes, and an all-around fun and positive environment. People are happy to be at Farrell's; they get to know one another, build relationships outside the gym, and support one another while on their individual health journeys without judgment. To me, the program is the best that Columbus has to offer in terms of integrating nutrition and fitness in a way that is sustainable and fun! Who doesn't love punching and kicking a bag for 30 minutes a day?! Worth every penny.

I just finished the 10 week challenge. (Winter 2021) It was hard work, but with of the help of from my coaches, the encouragement from the other 10 weekers and Fit Members and because of the amazing instructors, I MADE IT. I am no longer a 10 weeker, because now I am a proud Fit Member! This experience is like no other gym, here you are home! Farrell's 10 wk challenge has made me see what my hard work and commitment can do and how much more I can do! It has made me want to continue to do strive to be better!! Sean and Jenny are awesome too, they make you feel at home and part of their family.

2 weeks into my 10 week program and I am already getting to know my body and seeing a positive change in the way I push myself and also the way I fuel myself with food. The nutrition part of the program is super useful and made my family realize the balance that we need to bring to our nutrition. The coaches Scott and Paul are super helpful and the instructors keep me on my toes. Not to mention the FIT members who partner and also push me to do more. I started Farrell's in April 2018. I was the heaviest weight I had ever been, I was struggling both at home and with recreational activities. I had very little endurance, average strength, and no speed. In 10 short weeks I feel I got my life back. I lost 27 lbs., 7 inches off my waist and hips, more than doubled my push-ups in a minute, and dropped my mile by more than 3 minutes 20 7:21. Not bad for a person who hasn't a mile in over 20 years. Overall, I have better endurance than I have had in 15 years (even better than people much younger than me), I feel as strong as I ever have, and I got some speed back. I started running a tennis opponent 15 years younger than me off the court. Even if you are just looking for a way to kick-start your body into working out again and not looking for something long term, sign up and give the 10 week challenge a try! You might just fall in love with the program like I did and make that long term commitment!

I just finished my 10 week challenge. I really loved the whole process. It was helpful to have a coach to help hold you accountable. It was fun to get to know people. I love that it really is not a quick fix but about changing your lifestyle. Getting to class was much easier than sticking to eating healthy for me personally. It was a very big commitment and sometimes eating healthy was hard. It was all very worth it. I’m 5’4” and started at 142 lbs. I lost 9lbs and almost 12 inches! I lowered my over all body fat by 5% and cut my mile time by 2 minutes and 30 second. I was so proud and excited by my results. I can tell a huge difference in my arms and stomach. My boyfriend, who did not do the challenge but starting eating differently with me, lost 15lbs. We both felt a huge different in our energy from eating 6 small meals each day. I chose to continue as a fit member and can’t wait to keep going.

Admittedly, I do not enjoy the work-outs (that's an understatement!), but I needed to do something about my weight and lack of activity. I completed the 10-week session with perfect attendance, but didn't see the results I had hoped for (weight loss), but did have improvements in ability and inches lost. However, the staff at Farrell's - from the owners to the instructors to the coaches - are all EXTREMELY supportive and positive. They really do want to see you succeed; it's not just about business results. They will help you in whatever areas you need and want help with. The program and work-outs are not easy - what good work-out plan is? - but I think the value you get from Farrell's is better than most other types of gyms / fitness centers.

If you met me a year ago, I would be the last person you'd expect to write a review of a fitness program or gym, let alone a structured nutrition and exercise program, where one exercises for 45 minutes, 6 days a week. I was a 'conventional' gym member for the last 5 years, and showed up about once a month, and found excuses the remaining 29 days to not go.
Farrell's changed all that. It is a structured cardio kickboxing and strength-training program that I am now addicted to, to the point that I don't want to miss a class. The group fitness classes, the very supportive coaches, the camaraderie and encouragement of my 6 AM buddies, and the superb instructors make it the perfect routine for someone like me - "too busy to take care of my health and fitness". I am now eating better, sleeping better and have a lot more energy for the really important things in life - my family! Thank you Farrell's for the transformation!!

I have always been a cardio athlete and love training outdoors. It wasn't until I tried FXB-Columbus three years ago that I fell in-love with training indoors. Farrell's taught me how to strengthen my core which greatly impacted my running form and speed. The kickboxing workouts never disappoint. I joined Farrell's about a year ago with a good bit of hesitation...it all seemed so mysterious. I can say now that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made!
Why?
Several Reasons:
1.) I was new to Columbus and really hadn't had much of a chance to build strong friendships in my new home town. Now at FXB, I feel like I have created a family of friends that truly has my best interests at heart. Every time, I walk in I feel welcome and encouraged to be the best me!
2.) I needed a program that created accountability. I have always been a member of a gym and was in average shape, but if I didn't go for a week or two it didn't matter. Now if I miss a day at the gym, I feel like I have missed out on something. I want to be there and be a part of the fun.
3.) And most importantly, I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been before! Like I said, I am fairly healthy, but FXB has helped me take my fitness, both cardio and strength, to whole new levels!!! And I continue to get stronger every day.
Thank you FXB Columbus!! I would recommend the program to anyone who is looking to get in shape, have a good time, and make new friendships in the process. By the way, kicking and hitting a bag every week is a pretty good excuse to go, too! :-)

Awesome program! Being someone who had always worked out by myself at a "conventional" gym I was a little nervous about joining, but it has been a great experience. Working out in a group environment makes getting up and going to the gym more enjoyable and has helped keep me motivated. FXB ROCKS! When I joined Farrell's I was a stay at home mom to 4 kids and extremely out of shape. I would occasionally walk on a treadmill and that's about it as far as exercise. I started with FXB in Columbus back in September 2014. I'm not new to the active lifestyle, but it had been a while and I was extremely overweight and out of shape. I was nervous on my first day of orientation. Would I be laughed at? Would I feel out of place? Let me assure you - it was simply amazing and it has continued to be so every day since. I have participated in group exercise programs in the past, but FXB is like nothing I have experienced elsewhere. The people - from the staff to the other members - are amazing. The support is genuine and I know I can always contact someone for help or encouragement when needed. This is the first program I've participated in that has such a positive focus on nutrition and exercise. I'm not a picky eater, but I'm a 'limited' eater. I don't cook, and I don't eat a lot of meat. With FXB, I'm able to stick to my nutrition plan while eating things that fit my lifestyle, and I'm losing weight and getting stronger every single day. It's a lot of work, and a lot of commitment, but FXB makes it easy to stick to the program. I'm actually upset if I have to miss a workout! If you are looking to become the best you possible, this is the place to do it.

One of the best things I have ever done was to walk through the doors of this place and start my 10 week body transformation. I used to drive by and wonder what this place was as why it always looked shut. I obviously drove by at the wrong time of the day! This place is amazing and I cannot rate it highly enough. The whole experience from the workouts, nutrition plan and the support from the staff and other members is like nothing I have ever experienced before. I used to loathe any form of exercise and now I loathe if I have to miss one of my 6 workouts a week. I think it's fair to say that I am in the best shape of my life and the thanks must go to FXB. Love this place. Challenging workouts 6 days a week. Love the fitness kickboxing. Punching and kicking a heavy bag is a lot of fun and I am working out at the same time.
