EDIT: it’s so crazy that I showed up in person to the gym to cancel my membership and I was told to email Fernando to cancel my membership. Fernando then responded to my email and never once told me to mail in anything to cancel or come into the club, but simply asked me to explain my reason for leaving. What a joke! Don’t waste your time here!!
I used to go to this gym for a couple of years before deciding to try out another local gym back in March 2025. Fitstop was clean and the staff was friendly, but after discontinuing my membership, I continued to be billed for an additional 6 months!! :( Unfortunately, no one has been able to help issue me a refund because apparently that can only be done through the owner. I have personally emailed the owner Fernando and I have failed to get a response. I have called and spoken with staff and they have also tried reaching out to him to get in contact with me, but no luck. I am honestly shocked by the lack of customer service that I am not receiving from fitstop!! What a nightmare! I definitely will not be referring anyone here in the future.

Good gym, but whoever runs the music in the evenings has it WAY too loud. I wear high quality noise cancelling earbuds with the volume cranked and can still hear the music over it. It hurts my ears too bad to not wear my earbuds with how loud it is. And I don't always want to be wearing earbuds.

Have also had countless issues with their keycard system since being a member here.

Traveling for work! This was a clean gym with tons of equipment and decent space. The staff was nice and I even seen them working out which you don’t always see!

I tried to cancel my membership but they said YOU CAN'T CANCEL WE HAVE TO KEEP IT ACTIVE AND KEEP CHARGING YOU EVERY MONTH UNTIL YOU PAY THE ONE DECLINED PAYMENT OF 39.00.

They sent me an email with a cancellation paper. I moved back to Illinois. I received an email notice of cancellation and I guess she signed it for me. Which is useless because I'll still being charged EVERY MONTH. Over one 39 dollar charge, now it is over 160 for a member ship I asked them to cancel.

Why wouldn't you leave the one missed payment of 39 and ask me to just pay that instead of holding me hostage and screwing me over like this??

You must have no faith or morals because nobody makes a contract that does this to people. Making someone stay a member. That is a first time for me.

I have worked for LA Fitness, XSport Fitness, and have never seen anyone do this before. If you want someone to come back and you want to get more money, you don't do this. This is stupid business..

You said well until that 39 dollar charge is paid we are going to keep your membership active and keep charging you for a member you can't even use. Oh now it is 80 dollars. Sorry for whatever your situation is we are going to keep your membership active.

If you don't fix this God Himself will. Because by the time I get to pay it all, I'm still going to have more months you charged me for on a membership I canceled that month. You even said you signed it for me.

How stupid. Who makes a contract and says you can cancel but it won't actually cancel when you ask us to because you had one missed payment of 39 dollars.

So now to bring a membership I don't have access to use current, as if I was using your facility, you are charging me EVERY MONTH for this. I am sorry you are just very wrong for this.

Such a great little gym, just enough equipment to do most things you want whether you’re into cross fit, powerlifting, strictly cardio, or a beginner that needs smith or assisted machines. Evenings can get busy but that’s any gym now.

I currently hold 3 different memberships at various gyms including Fitstop. A maintenance based lapse in access to other facilities lead me to joining Fitstop and I’m so glad it did. I appreciate the chill atmosphere and great amenities. I don’t really hit the gym during peak times but I know when I do I always feel there’s more than enough access to excellent and well maintained equipment and a generally courteous atmosphere among other gym goers.

There seems to be consistent improvements and additions made in the already excellent space and amenities and there is always a great station on the overhead if you forget your headphones.

While I may have started going here as a supplement to my other gyms - if I were going to choose just one, it would be Fitstop.

I’ve been going to this gym for almost 2 years now. I love the community, it feels like more than just a place to exercise. It’s a place where I tend to escape my chaotic life and focus solely on my well-being. They have great machines and a wide variety. The encouraging atmosphere motivates me to push myself further. Love this facility!!! They have high end machines and tons of accessory equipment. They even have a Pendulum Squat, and it’s one of the only ones in the area.
