At Goldfish Swim School - Carmel, we teach children how to swim and build character through guided play. We are a βsafety-firstβ swim school dedicated to teaching children as young as four months old how to swim. Goldfish uses WOW! Customer Service to deliver a Golden Experience to all. Compared to the other swim school that my grandson attended it is so much better, the teaching has been fantastic. He has learned so much from the very short time heβs been there. Weβve been at Goldfish for two summers. Today in the final class, the instructor was very unprofessional and not engaged at all. She barely interacted with the kids but spent a lot of time chatting with others. On top of that, the instructor was switched without any notice. Very disappointing experience, and we wonβt be coming back next summer.

We were hesitant to sign up due to the higher cost and classes only being 30 minutes but after not seeing a lot of progress at other places, we tried Goldfish. Both of my kids can have class at the same time despite vastly different swim levels and their swim skills have greatly improved in just a few months. All of the staff have been incredibly helpful and nice. Goldfish is a very well oiled machine. The class limit of 4 kids per coach is very helpful.

This is a wonderful swim school! The staff and swim teachers are amazing. They are always so friendly and happy to help with any concerns or questions. My kids are thriving with swimming because of these classes. My son started at Goldfish in Nov 2024 very nervous with the water and now he is like a little fish and fearless. I highly recommend Goldfish swim school in Carmel. First, we have loved our experience with group lessons and i love the philosophy of not using floats so that the child actually learns how to swim. We have taken lessons at other facilities and my child had not progressed in months at other places. She has moved up two levels in just a few months at Goldfish. My child also experienced a scary fall and it left her scared to do many things including swim lessons. I intended to cancel because we were accruing make ups, but Katie and Erica offered us private lessons to help her gain her confidence back. We are going back to continue group lessons and my child actually wants to go AND is leveling up again! They really made us feel like they cared about my childs experience and I know for certain i would not have received this exceptional customer service at other facilities offering swim lessons. I love this Goldfish location. We have been in few different ones due to moving for my husbands work. Customer service is wonderful! Every issue I've had has been taken seriously and immediately above expectation! The teachers really show and tell the kids how to get better! I canβt express my love for this swim school enough! The staff was amazing helpful all the time! Lessons were fantastic and I got to see my baby get comfortable with water. We started lessons in time to get her used to water prior to summer pool season. This was the goal so we could all have a fun summer in the pool. Goal accomplished! We love taking what we learned at Goldfish and using them as warm ups at our local pool before we just float and play.

I am thrilled with how my 3 year old and four year old progressed. The instructors are SO patient. 3 YO's first lesson she cried for 10 minutes while a helper held her and consoled her and GOT HER IN THE WATER SWIMMING HAPPY!! Oh yeah! I was so impressed. Both love lessons and ask all week when lessons are.
They sell little candies for 25 cents and they love these for progress rewards after.
There are bathrooms, changing rooms, and a blown dryer station.

Had 3 kids enrolled. My middle child, 7 yo, had their instructor send them down the lane and turned her back. The life guard was totally spaced out (not scanning, spaced out). I had to yell and pound on the glass to get them to notice (they finally did and thank god sprang into action) as my child was desperately grasping for anything to get back above the water after being under for way too long. It could have easily been much much worse. The staff barely acknowledged they made a mistake. They did pull the guard and talk to them, to their credit. This is after 4 months of instruction by the way for my kid. Unacceptable for how expensive this place is. Our old school in CO did way better with our older one and was also less expensive.

What is unique and special about goldfish is their special and personal attention and regard for a child's development in swimming and that each child has a fun and impactful time while doing so. Goldfish Carmel has been amazing for our family! My kids love the warm water and the instructors. Not all the instructors were a good fit for us, but Katie and Amaya at the front desk work very hard to find the class time and instructor that work! We have stuck with GF for a few years and by the time my child was 4-5 she was able to swim laps with all the strokes across the pool. I love the patience of instructors to work with children at their level of comfort in the water.

This place is always booked to full capacity. That means there are 4 students per lane to maximize profitability. Simple math says I am bringing my daughter here for less than 7.5 minutes of instruction.
On the plus side, my 3 yo daughter loves it. And she swims pretty well now.

SLIP RISK and safety issue! Tonight (8/29) my son slipped on the wet exposed floor leaving the swim area and hit the back of his head. There are not enough rugs and the floor is constantly slick and wet without appropriate COF for the area and purpose in use. This is the second slip and fall incident for me and my family here.
The workers told me after the first incident they had thought about getting more rugs from Cintas but just haven't yet... Perhaps less thinking and more action is required at this location, this is and was a known safety hazard. I was not provided any follow-up contact info by the workers onsite and they dismissed the issue and me. They didn't even come over to dry the wet area...

Goldfish has been an amazing journey for my 3 children. 1 has graduated all the levels and is an excellent swimmer! She is a fish in the water, and that's all due to goldfish! My other 2 kiddos are still going through the levels and love it! It's so such a relief to feel confident about their swimming skills whenever we're near water. I'm so grateful for all the instructors and their patience and training they provide, as well as the front desk and management. Everyone is so helpful and cheerful. We love goldfish!

This location is overcrowded with students and the swim instructors seem to churn and burn fast. Both my children were enrolled in Junior 1 class together for approximately 6 months and almost never had the same teacher. Each class was the same lesson over and over and my children got only a few minutes each in the water. In my opinion there are far superior swim lessons in the area and Iβd encourage you to look elsewhere before booking with Goldfish Carmel.

Can only speak to the intro class but ultimately very hit or miss on instructors, over crowded classes where there is little direction. The same thing is done every class with zero feedback from instructors. Overall the fact that 3mo olds and 2 year olds are in the same class make it extremely difficult for kids to progress. After going for 10 months, we switch to Aqua Tots and after 2 weeks our son (1.5) is already transitioning to his back while underwater. Never got near this point at Gold Fish. All in all, the class introduced him to water well but fell short when it came to progressing.

in fact, I fell for the reviews. I'll tell you how it was with us. we started going here, attended only 2 classes. Of these two sessions of 30 minutes each, my child only swam for about 7-10 minutes. There are 2-3 children for one instructor. In the second lesson, he practically did not swim at all. it turns out that we pay for 30 minutes of classes, of which my child is only engaged in 7. In addition, I was charged $ 99 on May 1, and on May 1 I contacted the office that I would stop visiting and want to get my money back, because I have to give birth one of these days. My request was denied. The money was not returned. In my position, I am now nervous and do not understand why such an attitude? it turns out they took $ 99 from me for nothing. I wrote in support, I will wait for an answer from the office and a solution to my question.

When my daughter started swimming here in April she didn't know much when it came to swimming just what we have taught her at home when she swims. Now she is a super amazing swimmer and looks forward to each and every lesson even though she's missed a couple classes here and there from being sick Goldfish Swim has always granted her a make up token which is awesome because she can still use it for a make up day! I definitely recommend everyone to put their kids in classes. Only thing I wish was just a little different is the seating. Sometimes it is hard to get a good seat to see your child swim in their lane.

My 5 years old daughter has wonderful experience with Goldfish swim school! She enjoys every class there and has made dramatic progress with the help of the warm hearted, friendly and professional coaches. In only a few months, she has built up her confidence in water and moved up for 3 levels already. Coaches and staff observe and evaluate every kid closely to make sure her or his progression matches the swim training level to maximize the productivity of teaching and learning. After each class, parents are also allowed to enter the pool to discuss their kids progression in details with the coach. We are thus so impressed by this unique personized teaching and training style which can significantly develop and thus maximize kids potential. By the way, they also provide make up classes if your kids miss ones which is excellent especially in the sick season. Finally, the price is reasonable considering the quality of the service. We will stay with Goldfish swim school to observe and celebrate every progress our kid makes in the future!
