My little girl Serena has been taking lessons here for three months - from age 11 months to 13 months. She absolutely loves it! She's in the mini classes for very young beginners. Even though I thought classes would be more fun than instructive for someone as young as she, to my surprise she's actually shown real progress in the class exercises and has picked up on some basic swimming/water exposure skills.

Goldfish is very flexible with excused absences and make-up classes. And every instructor we've had has been great.

🛟🏆 Parents, your kids are in EXCELLENT hands. I cannot praise enough… GF swim school safety trains these instructors so comprehensively, we all know they are fabulous swim instructors, but rest assured all staff is trained for any kind of medical emergency. My daughter was safety trained and CPR certified when this location was very new to Fishers, back in ‘16-‘17 ish. She’s now 24 and has used her training in 3 separate major medical emergencies OUTSIDE of Goldfish, and was a rock star in each situation. Recently, when managers and fellow coworkers in a corporate box store complimented her in taking the lead (and admitted how weak their “training” has been), she came home and said, “high school instructors at Goldfish swim school were 10 times better prepared and equipped than the full grown adults on scene.” It hit her then how thankful she is to have learned MUCH more than swim instruction at Goldfish ❣️🙏🏻❣️ (shout out to Shawn and Pam back in the day)

Swimming is an important skill all kids should learn. This place combines education, fitness and fun all in one. The staff is friendly. Establishment is clean and well organized. All of the staff have a purpose and no one is just hanging around.

Pool party in February, in Fishers! It’s freezing outside, but balmy at the Goldfish pool!

The party option is great if your child is having a birthday. Excellent venue. A lot of fun! Parents join your child in the pool! Water is warm, clear.

Our family loves this location. My son started there when he was 5 months old. Most of the teachers are very sweet. The evening classes are always super busy and it’s very loud in there, making it hard to hear at times.

They really have swim lessons for kids down to science. The place is about factory. My son has been attending for 3.5 years and will be 6 years old soon. He is an excellent swimmer. In fact, his ability to swim unassisted at age 3 inspired me to take swim lessons and learn to swim 3 months shy of my 40th birthday.
Thy are expensive, but it is definitely worth it.
They also offer a multi kid discount, so we enrolled one of our foster kids.

We tried this place for five months for our six year old son. We were intially impressed with the facility. The age of the staff was an area of concern, but we wanted to try it. The instructors all seem to be currently attending high school. The instruction started well, but we noticed some inconsistencies when instructor's were subbed. In our fourth month, we got a new permanent instructor. He was very inexperienced and appeared to be getting instruction himself from fellow instructors while on the job and my dime. Our new instructor lacked confidence as well. We began to feel we weren't getting the value we stated with. We lost confidence in the instruction and decided to try another place.

Our lack of confidence was soon validated. After being gone for a month we purchased tickets for an Easter Egg hunt and free swim. We put a life jacket on our son who can't swim. The hunt was not well organized and not worth the value. Our deepest regret came during the free swim. Our son asked the nearest staff member (Instructors) to take his life jacket off. The staff member said yes and took it off him without checking with us, the parents, as we sat in the gallery. Our son jumped in and after several seconds began to struggle and panic. The staff member, four feet away directly in front of him, just watched. I had to run through the crowded gallery, along the poolside, then push the instructor into the water to save our child. There was fear and panic on our sons face and he couldn't get a breath. I don't know what the instructor was thinking, both in the decision to remove the life jacket, and the observance of a child struggleling and panicing. He definaly was lacking experience and judgement.

My son is only able to go to Goldfish for a couple of months each summer but he’s gone from being a non-swimmer last year to backstroking and side breathing this year. I can't say enough about Goldfish Swim school (Fishers), their managers (Chris and Abbey), and their staff. My son is in Boy Scouts and really needed to improve on his swimming for the Swim Test. The manager Chris was great, getting us set up and working with the instructors. They are really patient and take time to explain what he needs to work on. UPDATED REVIEW: An update for Goldfish of Fishers is definitely warranted. After my review, both my husband and I were contacted by the owner. At my son's next lesson(age 5), the owner took the time to speak with me extensively about my son's progress and how it could be improved. He personally made sure my son was moved to a different class to maximize his learning opportunity. We are very appreciative of their efforts and attentiveness to the needs of the students. They themselves, ensure that children are excelling in their classes. We have enrolled a second child (age 2) in Goldfish Fishers, and he's had a wonderful experience so far.

What my original post did not include and should have, was beyond the swim student to teacher ratio, we have always been happy with the top-notch staff. The front desk, the pool deck supervisors, and swim teachers have always gone out of their way to welcome and know every student they have. For being with Goldfish for nearly two years, we have come to know our weekly staff, and have enjoyed our visits. Not to mention, how the facility is extremely CLEAN and well taken care of!

We've had our son in Goldfish for almost two years. The school is great IF your child's class is not full. (The ratio is 4-1,student to teacher, as a full class.) Each class is 25 minutes of instruction, 5 minutes of parent-teacher discussion. When there are four students in one pool lane, each child receives LESS THAN 10 MIN of instruction. The rest of the time they are sitting on the bench, waiting their turn. For the past few months, all his classes have pushed the 4-1. For the monthly fee (averages $20 a class/week), it has become not worth our investment and time. The classes would be more beneficial if they lowered the student ratio to no greater than 3-1.

Our daughter has really taken to the exercises and just loves being in the water now thanks to the swim school! We started her with lessons at 6 months old. She seems to progress each week, getting more and more comfortable with the exercises. She has become quite the little fish. The staff is very knowledgeable, polite, and well-trained. My 7 1/2 year old daughter has been taking 2 classes per week and has had wonderful instructors. She started with Cassandra in the Beginner Class and wouldn't put her face in the water; now she has moved up a level and holds her breath! GFSS is very organized and clean. I wish my older girls could have learned to swim here. My daughter is always excited to go to swim lessons! Although we have enjoyed all the instructors, I wanted to mention how patient and kind Cassandra has been. Thank you.
