Went there yesterday for a birthday party and Andy was the instructor. Really nice guy ‼️ He made us feel welcomed and he was also patient with the kids . 5 stars for sure

I attended a birthday party here. The facility seemed like fun. However, I felt that the instructor lacked empathy, patience and understanding for helping my child. Not really a selling point for wanting to provide this opportunity for my child. Instructors that work with children should better understand children.

We attend classes and decided to host a birthday party. It was fun for the kids but do not expect any time before or after to do anything set up or clean up wise. The door will be locked right before and the next party is there before yours finishes so the overlap and double book. We have done many birthday parties and this is one place I would not recommend to have a birthday party at.

Had a wonderful experience with coach Andy. My toddler is super shy and takes quite awhile to warm up to anyone. Couch Andy has worked with her so well. She went from crying and saying “mommy does it”, to running into to gymnastics ready to see coach! Thank you guys for working so well with her and becoming her favorite part of the week. ❤️❤️

Coach Andy and Kim are amazing! Coach Kim is the backbone of that place for the younger kiddos. The front desk staff is rude and needs some lessons on better customer service skills. Family or not to the owner try being a little nicer 🫤 overall loved them.

Sad to see :( I grew up going to the gym myself! Although I thought it was quite awkward and I was ignored I did have fun, now for the second time I have enrolled my daughter and really thought it’s just my girl like she has to get used to change and things but NO after reading that other people literally had the exact same experience as me I’m going to again pull her from this class and it’s really sad they do not offer a refund yet they basically make your kid hate gymnastics. My poor girl fell last week and got in the car saying she hated gymnastics when she loves the sport and doesn’t realize it’s just the coaches and since they allow up to 8 children in her class and only one coach and they aren’t showing the kids what to do my daughter tried her cartwheel fell because well one demonstrated cartwheel without getting hands on to teach them what the heck to do they’re gonna fall. and I always make sure my daughter knows I’m there if she needs me I seen the scared look after she fell and no one even noticed i took her right from the class as she was crying. Mind you she was in SWIM lessons and did amazing because of how they are with the kids and only allow up to 4 per class and that is with water typically kids are very scared and she was but because of how swim was run by the employees she was just fine. The place is dirty and has seriously run down over the years. The coaches just are not good with children what so ever. We will be switching to joys and missing out on basically the entire sessions money seeing as it was the 2nd class that we left. And no I wouldn’t like a call about this. After reading that my issues are a on going problem with other parents too I will not be bringing her back or recommending this place to anyone.

Great facility!! I have been training here off and on for over 20 years and I can honestly say that this facility is like a home away from home to me. I have known the owner and his family since 1998. They have always been incredibly supportive of my training. Andy and I have been friends since 1998 as we competed and trained together at the IU Gymnastics Club Team. Andy and his family have always been very supportive and kind towards me and for that I will always be grateful. This facility has turned out very high level athletes competing at the collegiate division I level. I feel very lucky and grateful to be able to train at such a great facility with such wonderful people. I highly recommend this gym for all parents and their children. The coaching here is very high level at all levels for both Male and Female athletes/gymnasts.

Great place for a birthday party for a group of 3 to 6 yr olds. And the parents had as much or more fun than the kids! And host Preston was very attentive and engaged the kids.

Cold place that will treat your kid like a number that can be replaced by another number. The owner looked at my son crying and couldn’t care less. I’ve heard other people with similar bad experiences, so not sure how this place is so highly rated.
My 5-year-old son had gone to JOYS and loved it, so we wanted to get him in here since we thought it would be better. We enrolled him in the 5-6 year old class. The website says it’s for beginners, no experience required. His first day his instructor was not engaging with the kids while they were stretching at the start of class. Next thing you know, all the kids took off running and my son had no idea where to go. When he finally catches up with his group, the first activity they do is hanging from a bar about 15 feet over a foam pit. My son was understandably overwhelmed. He cried and I tried talking to him, but he refused to finish the class. We watched the rest of the class, and next went to doing somersaults on a mat. Why would you not start with this first?! I called the next day, and come to find out, the other kids have all been there before and the instructor didn’t take the time to realize my son was new there. I also found out that there have been other kids that have been fearful of hanging and falling into the foam pit. So again, why would you start with this with a “beginner” class?! Because the instructor was a teenage kid, likely with limited coaching experience and probably shouldn’t be with the youngest group. Andy, the owner, was supposed to call me to discuss everything and never did. The next week, they would not allow parents to sit anywhere except behind a 1 way mirror that prevents kids from seeing their parents (very weird IMO). When my son realized it, he started crying because he thought he’d be able to see us watching. I asked Andy about it as my son was standing next to me crying, and he couldn’t have seemed more annoyed by the conversation. Worse yet, he didn’t even try to console or encourage my son. He didn’t even acknowledge him. After that first day, we never could get my son to join the class. Yes I’m disappointed that my son couldn’t work up the courage to give out another chance, but I’m much more disappointed in this place for not even acting like they cared or trying to encourage him. Literally nobody attempted to talk to my son. They don’t care. They know that he will be replaced by a different kid. When we asked what our options were, they acted like they were doing us a favor by giving us a “credit” for the remaining classes to be used in the future. I have a two year old daughter and I wouldn’t dream of sending her here.

Ages 2-3 and 4-5, no difference. The instructor's attitude was like she was being forced to be there, mind as well teach. Nine kids, one instructor. If your child misses one move, don't worry, the instructor won't even notice—the worst place to bring your kids to. I hoped that something would change by the 3rd class, but nope, it got worse each time. After not showing up to class, I thought someone would call to be curious why is she not coming to class; NOPE. You pay and don't expect that they will care if some things should change.

Booked a birthday party here. I did experience an issue trying to change my package and not receiving a call back after leaving 3 voice-mails. However I will say the instructor Kim made up for it being so friendly and accommodating. The party prior to us was still packing up when we arrived so I think a little extra time between would be good. I will be back for another party and request Kim for sure.

Wish there was more options like aerial arts. Also wish all age groups til 8 were kept as single types of classes. Hard to get your child to mature to a certain standard when they see less mature behavior from the younger age groups they are teamed with. Very rigid policies to try and get around this problem as well. Daughter will miss camps this summer due to me not wanting to put her in with the younger classes when literally only missing the next age group by not even a month due to the camp starting right before her birthday to qualify for her up coming age group. Must just be my daughter who struggles with age maturity when with kids younger than to not even offer any flexibility to avoid this problem.

Great spot for a kid's birthday party. Very impressed with how well it was managed with very little effort on the parents part. Kids were entertained and cannot wait to go back. By far the fastest 2 hr kids birthday party you will ever have!
The lessons are fun and my daughter has been anxiously awaiting her next class.

I had my granddaughters birthday party here and it was awesome! Not only did the staff/owner entertain the children out in the floor, he helped me carry things in, set up and continuously helped throughout the cake and present time. Very impressed and satisfied. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know!

My daughter goes to Gymnastics Michiana and loves it. The facility is clean and safe, the equipment is kept in working order, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with the kids, and they always put the families and (more importantly) the kids first. The classes are on the more expensive side, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you pay for quality you get quality, and Gym Michiana delivers!

We had a small birthday party this past weekend here with about ten kids. What a great experience! From the moment we arrived the staff was on the ball. The facilities were clean, the schedule was very well organized and thought out without giving anyone the feeling of being rushed. Some unexpected but much appreciated bonuses: The staff helped guide the present-opening and even lit the cake candle. She wrote down which child gave which gift on a sheet of paper and bagged up all of the gifts for us. All of the adults were welcomed in the actual gymnasium and encouraged to have some fun themselves! Most of the parents and even the grandparents took part in a variety of activities including jumping in the ball pit and using one of their trampolines. The staff knows what they are doing and put aside just the right amount of time to get some great pictures taken with our own cameras as well. Well-oiled machine left all of us impressed. We will definitely be back!

The gymnasium is very nice. However, the boy's changing area was typically dirty and has a lot of custodial products left in the open (not the best for smaller children).
For our class, we went no longer than 2 weeks with the same coach. The lack of continuity was not ideal for smaller children. We liked Coach Mike's enthusiasm and energy. We wished Coach Andy would have a similar level of interest in integrating all the children into the class.

This family owned business is nothing less than awesome. Whether you're looking to enroll your children in classes, book a birthday, or commit to team, this gym has it all. The instructors are well trained and have an extensive background in the sport themselves making them that much more skilled. Classes run $13 per hour which compared to other gyms, that's unheard of. The classes are of smaller size so that instructors can really interact with each athlete and help them excel. The program here is phenomenal. They have trained gymnasts to compete in the Junior Olympics placing well and have helped athletes take their next steps into college gymnastics to continue developing and showcasing talents. Finally birthday parties at GM are a blast for the whole family. They ensure everything is taken care of so families can relax and enjoy the fun of trampolines, marshmallow pits, and all of the other activities the gym entails. Overall this gym is awesome! Time spent at GM is time well spent!
