My daughter has loved working with trainer Bob ever since day 1! He pushes her physically and mentally, and does it with humor and care! Bob cares for her as an athlete, person, and friend. My daughter has also gained strength in every way possible since beginning with HMF. Bob structures athletic style workouts, power workouts, agility, and slow/heavy style lifts for her to prepare for college softball at the d1 level. Shes always excited to share her new successes with weight and rep-counts from workouts with Bob. Last week she said she had squatted 185lbs for 10 reps, and in her notes from last year she was doing 185lbs for 1/2 reps. The proof is obvious with how well he has developed her. Id recommend HMF to anyone interested in workouts of any sort!

Bob and Tracy have been very impactful in my journey to get stronger. 10 years flew by at HMF and I am lucky to have started when I did. If you want professionalism, fun, and results, HMF is your place.

"Trust the process." This phrase has had a significant influence on my experience in body contouring, which focuses on fat reduction and muscle development. Like many others, I have faced my share of challenges throughout this process. Achieving any goal demands dedication, hard work, and daily sacrifices. For me, it begins with rising early to walk for an hour and a half before heading to work, followed by training sessions with Bob at Heavy Metal Fitness twice a week, and additional home workouts for four more days each week. Although sticking to this routine has been challenging at times due to work and personal obligations, I have consistently observed a reduction in body fat and an increase in muscle.
Alongside my training with Bob, I diligently track my macros every day under his guidance. It's worth noting that I eat more frequently throughout the day; I simply pay attention to what I consume.
In the past five months, I have successfully shed more than 35 pounds and decreased my body fat by 4.5%. I can now see my obliques and abdominal muscles. Initially, I wore a size 36 in men's jeans, but I now fit into a size 32. I cannot remember the last time I wore size 32 men's jeans or have ever seen my abs.
Every week, Bob monitors my progress, and recently, during a training session with him, he requested that I lift a 40lb dumbbell. Not knowing the workout, I was about to begin, he remarked, "The weight you are holding represents what you have shed over the past five months."
While I take pride in this achievement, I have not yet reached my ultimate goal; however, I am confident with the training with Bob, following my macro plan and walking that I will attain it in due time.
While the above mentioned is fine, the health benefits have been great. During a recent check-up with my primary care physician, my blood pressure and other test results were significantly better than what is typical for my age group.
Although I am happy with my progress, the health advantages have been even better. In a recent appointment with my primary care doctor, my blood pressure and other results were considerably better than compared to what is normal for my age group.
Friends and colleagues have noticed my physique and have asked me what am I doing. I always respond with the same message: "I am not special and or having amazing genetics; if you invest the time and effort, you can achieve the results you desire."
I am eager to keep "trusting the process" with Bob.
As a quick note, I almost never write reviews for products or services, but I felt compelled to share my experience, as I am sure many others have faced their own challenges. While I acknowledge that others may have had more favorable results, I am genuinely satisfied with my own outcomes.
Thanks Bob.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Heavy Metal. Everything from the clean, well-equipped facility to the people who run it is just outstanding. Bob and Mark are the real deal--they know their stuff, they want you to succeed, and they'll get you there. Would recommend to literally anyone (friends, family, random strangers off the street) looking for a fantastic training program.

I have been going to Heavy Metal Fitness once or twice a week since 2018. I love this place! Itβs been the best experience working both privately and in groups with the expert trainers. Before I joined, I used to dread exercising and looked for excuses to stop, but now that Iβve made Heavy Metal Fitness a part of my life I love how great I feel and seeing what Iβm capable of. My advice to anyone who hates to exercise is give this place a try and just start small. One 30 minute workout a week is how I began and it didnβt take long before I started seeing those muscles develop.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Bob possesses an impressive depth of knowledge and authenticity that sets him apart. Throughout our sessions, he consistently pushed me beyond my limits, resulting in remarkable improvements in both my strength and energy levels.
Undoubtedly, this is the premier destination for personal training in Northwest Indiana, if not the entire Midwest. The one-on-one sessions provided in an exclusive space distinguish it from other gyms where training often occurs amidst the hustle and bustle of regular gym-goers. This personalized approach ensured that I felt completely at ease throughout every session.
I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. If you're seeking unparalleled personal training, look no further.

Iβve been training with Bob for over 5 years now. Iβve always left the studio more sore (and stronger) than before. His core workouts are worse than childbirth, and his music is heavier than at least 4 elephants. Jokes aside, Bob is a great friend, therapist, and an amazing trainer. Iβve been pushed to my limits during workouts but always surprised at what iβm able to do. If you want the most out of your workouts, go to heavy metal fitness!!
