For coming right at rush hour 5pm, I got to use some great equipment and didn't have to wait. Great equipment though. Lots of space. Thank you for the week pass πŸ€™πŸ€™

Been going here before it switched to iron society. It's a good gym but rules aren't posted for people to see. Constantly weirdos recording themselves in the lockers and on the main floor, which gets annoying. You'll also have to deal with people claiming 2+ machines, laying their gear all over the place and slamming weights most of the time.

Gym is clean, equipment is nice and seems to be well maintained. The kid's area is a nice feature. A great gym if you live in the Fort Wayne area.

Giving 4/5 only because the month to month policy is outrageously expensive.
My wife and I are both vets and are here for a month visiting, and the military/first responder discount and couple price caught our eye, only to find out we would be charged $180 for the month.

While their base prices may seem a bit steep, the services they offer are completely worth the benefit. The extra services are decently priced and the Dupont Location Manager is amazing. Veteran Owned, this Gym has very organized standards and speaks for itself when you enter the building. There is a recovery element to this place that you won't regret finding out about-- from the mild hyperbaric chamber to the excellently skilled personal trainers!

Staff are intimadating. Not a welcoming environment. I have been trying to cancel my membership following their instructions to a "T" for the last 60 days by contacting them 5 times. They use a third party vendor and I have spoken to those that work at this location as well and they give me the un around. I would not recommend much better options out there for the price and environment.

Yes! Finally an Iron Society Google connection that isn't for Max Fitness... I'm not sure about MF, but Iron Society is an amazing place to work out, especially the one on Maplecrest!!! They have really great equipment, the members are helpful if you need it... and leave you alone if you don't ask... Talk about no judgment... this place is a great place to get better on your own or with help, whatever works best for you. I'm in my mid 40s, been a "regular" for almost 2 years, and have gotten stronger, fit into my clothes better, feel better, and down almost 40 lbs. I would definitely recommend and would suggest you get started... WHENever you want, it's 24 hrs πŸ˜‰

This local gym is incredibly convenient, located just down the street from me. With 24-hour access, it accommodates any schedule. The facilities are well-equipped, providing everything needed for a good workout. The owner, staff, and fellow gym-goers are friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can focus on their fitness journey without feeling judged. A notable highlight is that it's veteran-owned and features a convenient in-house supplement store.

The owner of this establishment doesn’t know me or my family. This review is based on character of owner. My father is 68 and disabled he went to buy a tire because that’s all he could afford the owner of Iron Society was getting tires there to he must of noticed my dad needed 4 tires. He secretly paid over $500 for my father tires so I feel that shows what Iron Society stands for. Thanks for helping my father!!

Great gym, good culture, however they could invest in a larger sauna area. Very small and typically over crowded and not usable due to this especially during peak gym hours. Much smaller compared to other gyms in the area.

Very poor experience with customer service. They are very unhelpful assuming they get around to your emails at all. Warning you will be charged even after you cancel your membership. Very expensive membership fee for a facility that is nothing out of the ordinary.

Loves the gym, perfect for anyone really. My only issue is I had to cancel my membership due to not having time anymore and over a month later I was charged the 40$ membership fee. Tried to email and call but no response

Worst gym in fort wayne do not go here!!! I just moved to town and walked in really excited to see what it looks like. I immediately come in and I'm glared at by one of the girls and shes on her phone just scrolling while I'm trying to explain how I just moved here and wanted a tour. She looks down at her phone and when she hears me say tour she points at the girl behind and makes her do it. I really vibed with the girl who did my tour and when I came back up front to ask her questions phone girl was in the corner glaring and rude the whole time. I asked about doing a membership over the phone and the girl who was rude from the start gave me a sassy remark about how its a legal binding contract so no you can't do it over the phone. Which is funny since I wasn't even talking to her at all. Will not be returning and was judged from the moment I walked in. I want a welcoming gym not me being judged for just walking in and breathing. Put a bad taste in my mouth and I hope she gets fired.

Having the men’s locker room closed for 2 hours at a time is unacceptable. I understand that the locker room needs to be cleaned and I also understand that most of the staff are females. But there are male employees that can clean the locker room instead of high schooler females. Also perhaps instead of having it closed for 2 hours at a time split it up into 30 minutes of opened and 30 minutes closed for cleaning. Myself and other members are seriously considering canceling our memberships and going else where.(Edit: Posting a cleaning schedule displaying when the locker room is closed and when it will be reopened would also be very much appreciated)

The only reason I only rated this 4 stars us because my family only goes for the classes, and they're just temporary so far. The trainers Nicki and Hannah are great and we will continue to go as long as they are there.

Owners are super nice the few times I’ve met them and are veteran owned. Staff is very friendly. Only complaints are you spend 10 minutes after each machine looking for a cleaning bottle and if you want to go between 2-7 pm forgot about being productive. (Can’t speak to how it is in the morning) Spend half your time looking for a place to work out because it’s so packed. They only have two yoga mats in rough shape, and they could use more plate weights when it’s packed they all are in use. Been coming here years since max fitness went under but will probably cancel until they get another location in southwest.

It was overall better when it was still owned by max fitness.

The pros: They made some cosmetic upgrades. Employees and owners were always pretty friendly as a plus. As a veteran I aslo appreciate they gave military discount and are veteran owned.

Cons: ISG has not taken the best care of their equipment and some of it is definitely beat up. I could tell over the last year cardio equipment was definetly starting to fall apart, seemed every treadmill would clunk or the bikes would be missing a chunk out of the seat. Seem to place en emphasis on all weight lifting equipment for body builders and the demographic definitely shifted as well to body builders who were less than courteous with the equipment and hogging machines and weights. Locker rooms were semi clean, but showers weren't very clean and would back up. The entire locker room always wreaked of sweat. We ended up switching to OPS Fitness and while we pay more it's a substantially better experience with better facilities and ammenities.

Good gym over all with good equipment selection, but has correctable some issues.

They could do a better job keeping the equipment maintained. The bikes are all missing parts and the seats are ripping. The dip machine has grab bar covers missing entirely. Some of the treadmills aren't set up right so they wobble while you're running. And these issues have been ongoing for a few months now.

The locker rooms are bathrooms are kept at an acceptably clean level, but the showers are in bad shape to say the least. One stall doesn't drain and water pools, another the shower head looks like it's from the 50s and barely works, and yet another the options are, in order, "off, scalding, off, cold" because the valve in the shower knob is broken. The little shelfs in the showers to hold your soaps are all broken as well.

Even worse, the showers are not cleaner regularly. There were two strands of hair stuck to the wall in one of the stalls, and I didn't say anything intentionally to see how long they would be there. Answer is well over a month. Even without customer complaints, showers should be scubbed daily. Like common.

Last complaint is the lack of fans near the cardio equipment. I know everyone is different, but personally I like having a fan on me when I run, but there isn't even a ceiling fan over the cardio equipment, so while you're running on the treadmill or biking or whatever cardio you choose, the air around you is completely void of any movement. For me, its rather uncomfortable. I wish they would either add small individual fans to the equipment or put in a ceiling fan to have some movement.

That bring said, still the best gym overall in fort wayne. That can easily change if they don't start to keep thier equipment maintained though. For 40$ a month the issues mentioned previously should not be hard to fix.

Great gym, but the setup drives me nuts. A huge leg section is great in theory. Unfortunately the tiny area in front of the free weights is where all the bros congregate. It can be hard to aquire a free weight bench. If you do manage to find one, you will still be close enough to the other gym goers to smell what flavor of protein powder they use. Everyone hangs out in the same area and they all know how to tailor a shirt with just enough shoulder strap that the shirt stays on while simultaneously having all of their nipple out. They probably discuss this shirt cutting technique while chatting in front of all the 45 lb dumbells.

Just go to Anytime fitness for etter service, cheaper rates, and better equipment.

I had 3 workouts in about 14 days and paid $130 bucks. The staff did a poor job explaining how cancelation processes work and how long id have without penalties. I signed a digital pad without ever seeing a contract and was billed for 1 months th plus a sign up fee and was told I'd have 7 days to decide. The contract however, said I have 72 hours. I took my time and decided this wasn't the right gym for me. I went in to cancel wand was told I cannot cancel because I need to meet with the manager or assistant manager and it required my ID (None of which was true).

I decided this wasn't the place for .e because the parking lot is crowded and hard to find a space, the gym is also crowded as a result so its difficult to get a focused workout in without interruption or having to wait in line. Most of the equipment is old and the benches are hard and cracked.

After 3 attempts to meet a manager at 3 different times of the day I was told their manager makes his own hours and the assistant is out by 2.

I cant even find a parking spot in their crowded lot and now, after having a membership for less than 2 weeks I was forced to pay for an additional month because I didn't cancel in my first 72 hours.

I've been to gyms all over the country...franchise (Gold's, Xsport, Planet Fitness, Anytime, 24/7 Workout Anytime...etc) and local stand alones. If you're looking for a great gym for lifting weights and hard to find machine and plate loaded equipment Iron Society is definitely the place. They also have really decent cardio equipment but, it's the weights that make it really one of a kind. Couple that with tanning at a really fair price and you can't beat it. I would love if they got some rehab amenities (hot tub, steam room, sauna) but, I know that stuff is a hassle to maintain (only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars) and probably a minimum return on investment. But, maybe someday.

I have been a member for several years. Once Iron Society took over I was extremely happy with the facility. The reason for the three stars is cleanliness. The men’s shower room has not been washed in a month there has been no soap in the dispensers for more than a month and the floors are never swept. Now there is an odor that comes from the showers when you walk in. The reason I know that the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in over a month is that there has been a used bandage that has been sitting in one of the showers for that period of time now. I hope it gets resolved as a rely on the bathroom to get dressed every morning for work

Best gym in Fort Wayne imo. The staff is attentive and courteous. And the owners have made one good renovation after the other in order to capitalize on the space and get the best equipment for the members. You can tell the owners have a background in body building. Veteran and appreciates veterans which is always a plus. Despite all this, their prices make you feel as if your getting a steal. And in the midst of all the corona craziness, they have stepped up to make sure there are ample sanitizing bottles and rags, which are changed often. Great place!
