We're members because this gym is close to our home, but frankly it is an underwhelming gym. The water fountain has been broken since before we joined 3 years ago. The equipment is sparsely updated with many of the cardio machines still broken as they have been for years. The gym temperature ranges from comfortable to way to hot to workout.

I’ve been a member at LivRite Fitness for over 20 years, so I’ve seen this gym go through a lot of phases. I have to say, I am extremely pleased with the current revival of the facility. The new General Manager, Terrence, has been doing a phenomenal job. He is making key improvements that we can actually see and feel. What I appreciate most is that he actively seeks out the members to ask for our input on how he can continue to make things better. It’s great to see leadership that truly listens. I recently visited Livrite to inquire about a gym membership and couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. Terrance , the new manager was AMAZING! He was very kind, patient and thorough when walking me through getting signed up. He even took the time to give me a tour of the gym and all the gyms amenities. Terrance went on to share some upcoming renovations and upgrades they are currently working on at the gym. I really appreciated how passionate Terrance was about his job and the care he has for his customers. I am starting my 4th year at Livrite Indianapolis. I exercise everyday that it is open to keep active and fit, keep my diabetes under control, and just as important, actively/socially keeping in touch.
The entire staff at Livrite, from the new manager to front desk individuals, are always ready to help or listen to any suggestion or concern that I might have. They treat me like family rather than a number which is important for any organization that wants to keep its members.

But not only is the staff, including personal trainers to exercise class instructors, approachable and eager to help, but so are the vast majority of its members. It is as if club members are not only happy to say a bright and cheerful “Hello” but more than eager to strike up a conversation and friendship! I mostly swim laps and have made many many friends along the years. We even have formed our own “Cool Pool Buddies” and regularly eat out for camaraderie and celebrating birthdays!
Yes, all gyms have four walls, weights, exercise machines locker rooms and a few even have warm water pools, but what makes this club special is that everyone is more than happy to accept you as you are with open arms which is so conducive to wanting to come back time and again to stay fit not only in body but in soul.
Yes, some parts of this Livrite are a bit tired but the new manager, Terrance, is excited to revitalize as much as possible all aspects of the club members’ experiences. So far, new shower heads have been installed, all HVAC units have been brought back to life and even the vending machine is now stocked with delicious healthy snacks!! A new exercise room is now being put together
What is not to like? If you are interested in a club that nourishes your body and souls, Livrite Indianapolis can be what your body is yearning for!

Been a member here for about 8 years and we love the no-pressure environment. Everyone here genuinely cares about the gym and the people visiting. They have made some small upgrades from season to season but it’s the staff and easy access to equipment that keeps us coming back.

Highly recommend the Binford location if you are in the area but the Noblesville location is also very nice and we’ve taken our daughter there for swim classes for the last two years.

I regularly visit between 5:30-6:30 am during the week and it’s very quiet and easy to get all workouts complete without wait or interference. I’ve also visited in the early afternoons on weekends and it’s not bad. Overall, the team here is doing a great job and we’ve had no reasons to look elsewhere thanks to their cleanliness, friendliness, and low monthly rate.

I have recently joined, probably about a month ago. I haven’t had this much fun with exercise in years. So far I have done water aerobics ( I love), Zumba today for the first time (so FUN). They often play volleyball after aerobics and again-so much fun. I can’t believe i didnt find this gym sooner! Everyone is very laid back and very nice. This includes staff and the people in the classes. I feel very lucky to have landed here.

I like the pool. The employee that greeted me didn't ask if I needed help. Just let me stand there. After 2 minutes I said I'm here for a appointment. Michael the man giving me a tour barely showed me the different rooms didn't show me how to use anything but did tell me the price of $40 a month or $35 a month with a 1 year plan. He would let me come free for one week if I signed up for the one-year plan. What in the world! So I'm supposed to sign up for an entire year without even getting to try even one machine. 420 Plus $40 yearly plan for maintenance but the carpet was so old and torn in the main room. I think I'll keep looking

My wife was a member for just over a year. After multiple monthly charges that were 3x what were advertised ($60 instead of $20), calling and being told that they were "one-time maintenance fees," my wife called to cancel her membership on July 16th. She was told that her account would be terminated, and we would no longer be charged. On August 16th, my bank account was charged another $20. When I called to ask/complain, I was told that Livrite had a 30 day "cancellation period" during which it was common that members who were cancelling their membership would be charged one last time.

2 things:

1. August 16th is 31 days after July 16th.

2. We were specifically told that we would incur no more charges on the July 16th cancellation phone call.

I will be contesting these charges with my bank. Even LA Fitness didn't nickel-and-dime us like this.

Membership for almost a year now. A very relaxed fitness atmosphere. I feel extremely comfortable working out as a bigger girl who is just trying to get healthy. Pool access, free weekly classes, weight room, all manner of equipment and best of all, a martial arts studio. The staff is extremely friendly and diverse. Incredibly rude when I went to cancel. They seem to have no empathy at all. I'm out $250.00 because they automatically renewed my membership and charged me six months past my contract date. Kyle was terse and sarcastic on the phone. He actually hung up on me after getting frustrated. Will tell everyone I know to stay away.

ONLY join this gym if you know that you will use your membership for at least a year. (You cannot cancel mid-contract, you will continue to be charged until the contract reaches term)

Notes & Observations to help you with your decision:
- This gym doesn't provide towels or locks for lockers. Not a big deal but important to know before you try working out on the way to work and realize you don't have a towel.
- The swimming pool is not completion length and it's very warm. This is great for recreation, but terrible for lap swimming.
- They play Christian music which is uplifting and great!
- The locker rooms are newly remodeled and very comfortable.
- This is a family owned business, and the employees are kind and empathetic.
- Child care is only available at certain times and for an additional charge.
- Memberships come with two free personal training sessions, which is a nice touch to help you get acquainted.
- They seem to care about creating a community feeling here.

Overall this gym isn't a bad option, but it didn't work out for me because I like to get my workout by lap swimming alone :P and I don't like feeling trapped by a contract.

Livrite has everything that its competitors does by way of facilities and amenities, but something over and above what its chain competitors have: personality. The place is family owned and run, which shines through in how the place operates. The staff is always incredibly friendly and accommodating. Long story short, if you're looking for a gym that has all of the exercise equipment and facilities you would want in a major gym, but also the personal touch of a small and family owned business, look no further. Livrite is the place for you.

I have really enjoyed going here for the past year. It's a small gym with lots of cardio equipment and a separate weight room. It can get busy at times, but never to the point I can't get my workout in. The staff are extremely friendly and always willing to talk and provide advice for a good workout. I joined Livrite this past year when my wife and I moved to Indianapolis. I have enjoyed the hometown feel they give you at the gym. They have a really awesome basketball league all year long, it is a great workout and I have been able to meet some really great people. They have all different types of workout equipment, from free weights to cardio, to cross fit area with tires and jump ropes and even a pool. I absolutely love this gym! The staff goes out of there way to make your feel comfortable and know you by name. I love the variety of group fitness classes, Lisa will get you in shape and make you laugh while doing it. There are classes for all fitness levels and are at good times for after work classes. The best part about the gym is you never have to wait to use a machine or weight, very unlike other gyms in Broad Ripple. There are several different areas to workout including an upstairs second cardio area and an auxiliary room where you can find just about any workout accessory needed or just space to do your own thing. Glad to have found a gym that is so personal and makes me happy to go!

Absolutely loved the place the first time I walked in. I have been procrastinating going to the gym for a long time but one of the staff members convinced me and so glad he did. The gym itself has all the equipment you need and it feels very personal. My dad came to visit me from abroad and they gave him a free pass till he travels which is pretty amazing since he doesn't have to sit home all day and get bored, now he can just kick back in the sauna/steam room. All in all, this is one of the better gyms out there that is clean, affordable, good pricing with a friendly staff.

I’ve been a member for almost 2 years at LivRite. Formerly I was a member at one of the big chains. Big difference at LivRite. They have comparable equipment, classes, etc. But I feel far more at home here. Everyone on their team is so welcoming and helpful. They have taken the time to get to know me. The classes are not overcrowded like they are elsewhere, and I feel like I belong. I tend to get a little self-conscious, but I don’t feel that way at LR. Now, I’m working with one of their personal trainers and he has really made the difference in my workouts. Finally…progress! Thanks LivRite!

I'm pretty sure I got staff infection from one of the mats. There is a general lack of hygiene . I signed a short term contract and the verbal explanation was much different than written contract. Read your contract carefully before you are charged $150 that they will not consider refunding, all with a rude attitude. Bottom line, wear long sleeves and don't be fooled by overly friendly staff. Otherwise, not a bad place to workout...
