Longevity is the best! Every session is structured the same but different from the one before. I am not one of those people who has ever loved going to a gym: I need the discipline of a class. Ben, Rachel, and Amy are wonderful instructors and all the participants are kind people who want to be there.

I learned about Longevity when they won Best of Bloomington. And I love that the trainers are physical therapists as well as certified fitness instructors. They do a great mix of balance training, weights, and conditioning. I’ve already shaved time off my 5k runs and plan to work back up to 10k. Whether you’re an active ager or just wanting to stay mobile, there’s space for all levels. So glad to have this in our town!

I’ve been going to Longevity since February and I can really feel the progress. My instructors, Rachel and Amy are great. The exercises of working on agility, conditioning and cardio are varied so you won’t get bored doing the same things all the time. They can alter any of exercises to accommodate any limitations you may have. They also make it fun. Highly recommend.

I'm a relatively new member of Longevity. My wife suggested that I check them out and I'm glad that I followed her advice.

Ben, Rachel and their assistants couldn't be nicer people. The workouts are well thought out and aim to improve your balance, agility, strength, and endurance. You set your own pace - push as hard as you want or, if your body is telling you to back off a bit, you don't push as hard. You aren't competing with anyone; we are all just trying to stay healthy and slow the hands of time. :)

Thanks to Ben and Rachel for creating a great environment and focusing on the over-50 crowd.

I discovered Longevity Fitness online about 3 months ago and joined the program as it seemed a perfect fit for my stage in life. We work on cardio, strength and balance in each of the fitness sessions. I love the flexibility for attendance during the week as the program is offered 5 days a week at multiple times. Recently they added a yoga instructor two days a week adding more beneficial exercise to wellness. The surprising thing I discovered about this program though is how Ben and his team have developed a sense of community among the members. It is a true pleasure to attend and see familiar faces all who are enjoying the exercise and are getting stronger and more fit together. Ben and his team ensure exercises are tailored to each individuals fitness level or restrictions by seamlessly adjusting throughout a session without causing awkwardness for those needing adjustment. His team pays attention and ensures a good experience without injury for everyone. If you are looking for a gym that understands seniors, this is it.

I wanted to do more than walk to get exercise and a friend told me about Longevity. Initially, I was reluctant because I had some low back issues and was not entirely familiar with a ‘gym’ environment.

Longevity has been a fantastic choice for me. In addition to gaining the strength I was hoping for, I’ve gained a community of friends. The class schedule also provides me lots of flexibility to fit in exercise along with my other endeavors.

The Longevity trainers, Ben and Rachel, are fantastic and tuned into the unique needs of each member.

I highly recommend Longevity.

LONGEVITY BLOOMINGTON exercise classes focus on the exact things us older folks need to work on…including strength, cardio, balance, flexibility and more. I am so glad I found this class where the trainer makes sure I use good form and do not attempt exercises that are too difficult for me personally (or too easy!). I feel safe here yet challenged. Ben, the owner, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has a consultation with each new participant before they begin. After one year of working out here I can tell that I am stronger and my balance is much better. We work hard in class but have fun and the music is great.

I’ve never been a gym person, but the Longevity program has definitely captured my fancy. After just 6 weeks I not only feel a difference in strength and conditioning, but more importantly a shift in my attitude: I look forward to class! It is fun, social, supportive, informative, and as challenging as I choose to make it. I appreciate the expert guidance and the flexible option to attend any of 5 time slots on a given day!

I am in my mid-70’s and new to Longevity, but after 2 months, I can attest to it being something I’ve been seeking but didn’t realize how much I needed. As a complete program whose goal is overall fitness, it encompasses balance and agility, strength and power and cardio improvement. The classes are run efficiently and professionally but also with a lighthearted attitude. The time zooms by, and before you know it you are cooling down and feeling so good about what you have done for your mind and body. The atmosphere is friendly and sociable, including both men and women. We all work out together with the same equipment and exercises, but each at their own level. (Actually you are just competing with yourself to be a healthier you!) Music from the 60’s and 70’s is booming while you go from station to station. You are encouraged and advised as to technique in all exercises so you don’t harm yourself. Having Ben (or Rachel) is like having your own personal trainer. One of the biggest pluses is that if you can’t make it to your usual scheduled class, you can go to one at another time because each class has the exact same routine. Another plus is that you can arrive 15-20 minutes before class and warmup rowing or cycling. Can you tell? I’m rather excited about Longevity Bloomington and plan on incorporating it into my weekly routine for as long as I can!

I was in search of a group exercise program because I hadn’t been successful working out on my own. Having been retired from a life of sedentary desk jobs and needing to build my overall strength and stamina, I was really happy to find Longevity Btown through an internet search. After meeting Ben for a free consultation, I decided to give it a try. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Ben is a professional physical therapist and certified trainer. That was important to me. It gave me peace of mind knowing he and Rachel could show me exercise modifications based on my personal needs. Not one class is alike; the exercises are quite varied from one class to the next. Exercises are focused on strength, conditioning, balance, and agility. You are guaranteed to sweat! :) I’ve just completed my first 10 class session and quickly signed up for the next. Plus, Longevity Btown is a very friendly group of members who make an effort to introduce themselves to new participants. It’s a very welcoming, friendly, and overall great workout experience.

I’ve just started working out at Longevity Bloomington and I can’t say enough about how I’m liking the whole experience. I was looking for a fitness regimen for a senior like myself and this workout checks all the boxes. I especially like the fact that Ben and Rachel are both physical therapists and certified personal trainers. They each can provide individual assistance to make sure you’re doing each exercise correctly. One added benefit of each session is the camaraderie I find interacting with my fellow participants. As a senior, I realize how important these social interactions are. Kudos to Longevity Bloomington!

Going to Longevity Bloomington on Tuesdays and Thursdays makes them my two favorite days of the week. I find the varied workouts that we do to be at just the right intensity for me. However, there are alternate exercises for the days when I may not feel at my best. I enjoy the social environment. I like the people that I workout with at Longevity. I appreciate the fact that we all workout at our own pace and at our own level and feel no pressure to do otherwise.

I have been attending Longevity Fitness for 3 months and would recommend it to any person 55+ who wants to stay in shape at a very affordable cost. Classes are conducted under the supervision of physical therapists and/or assistants. You use all the normal gym equipment and exercises can be modified accordingly. The instructors go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great workout in a very positive atmosphere. Longevity also stands out from other fitness places in that attendance policy is flexible. You only pay for classes you attend and are not penalized if you need to take time off for illness or surgeries. I plan to continue this program for years to come. Highly recommend checking it out.

The classes are truly the best I've ever experienced. A balance of cardio, strength-building, and balance, but, even more, the exercises are so inventive and cleverly designed to activate areas of the body that more conventional classes don't address. The mind stays engaged. The atmostphere is very relaxing and the participants are very friendly. I like the high-ceilinged space as well - feels open and there's plenty of room to move around in. Finally, and not least, the Longevity fee offers incredible value!

I would recommend Longevity to anyone who wants to become more fit no matter where you are with your fitness and have fun at the same time!

I love the entire concept of Longevity Bloomington. You pay only for what you use and come when you can to whichever class you can make. It couldn't be easier than that. The cost is less than most fitness classes. The instructor, Ben Weller, DPT, OSC, CPT, is completely qualified as well! Classes are for ages 50 and above and is easily modified to your needs be it a permanent condition or a temporary condition.

Longevity has been a tremendous addition to my already physically-active life. While I've stayed in shape, I know I haven't pushed myself as hard as I could to be at my strongest as I get older. These classes are doing the trick! And I particularly like that each Tuesday and Thursday has five times to attend, so I can almost always fit a class into my day.

Here's the deal....Longevity is awesome!! I literally love everything about it, starting with Ben. I appreciate that he meets with you before you start to get to know you and where you are coming from, explain the format, show you some of the exercises, and let's you do some of them so he can gauge the best class for you. In addition, since he is a PT, so he walks around to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly to prevent injury. Very important:) Now let's talk details--for me, the time options are perfect. He has 5 separate classes, each lasting just 45 minutes and start on the half hour between 10:30 and 2:30. You do not have to sign up in advance so you don't get penalized if something changes and you are unable to attend. I usually go to the 10:30 class, but if for some reason I can't on a particular day, I can just go to a different class so I can still get my workout in that day. Genius!! Each 45 minute class consists of a 7-8 minute warm up, where everyone is divided into two groups. Group one will do 3 balance and/or brain activities while group two warms up on the bike, row, or ski machine. After about 4 minutes, you switch so both groups get to do all the warm up activities. Next, he explains the 4 main exercises you will do that day and gives accommodations to make them easier or harder, depending on what you comfort level is and how you are feeling. After the explanation, everyone has about 20-25 minutes to complete the four exercises. Next up is the conditioning. This consists of 3 exercises that you do for 30 seconds each and rotate through them three times. After that, Ben walks us through a quick 5 minute stretch and you're done. It is a the best 45 minutes every Tuesday and Thursday!! Now let's talk about the people. The people you get to spend this time with are so SO very nice, welcoming, and supportive. There is absolutely ZERO judgement from anyone, truly only encouragement. There are not many gyms around that can say that, but it's absolutely true with Longevity!! Additionally, a couple other things I really appreciate about Longevity is how you pay and track your sessions. You buy packs of ten classes for $120. Upon arrival, you check in on an iPad, which will keep count of your classes. Once you've used all of your classes, Ben will automatically charge your card and you're good to go for an additional ten classes, until you tell him otherwise. So, you are not paying for a month you may not be able to use for whatever reason--travel, illness, "life". Your classes just roll until you are out then get refilled. It's so easy. Longevity literally checks ALL THE BOXES for me--comfort in the class; time slots/ease of going; the people; the actual exercises; the price point; BEN....I mean, it truly is just AWESOME!! FIFTY 5-star reviews (and nothing less than that) should give you some idea of how amazing it is....don't hesitate, reach out to Ben now!! You won't regret it....

I truly appreciate Longevity circuit training. In a relatively short period of time, I have noticed improved strength and stamina. The balance, agility and weight bearing strength exercises have improved my functional mobility. It has been a gift to have Ben Weller's supervision and education in form and postural alignment. His keen eye has helped me learn how to modify exercises and keep me safe from overextending. I am more aware of how important it is to keep on moving as I age. Thanks Ben!

I LOVE Longevity and cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone 50+ looking for a great fitness program. With balance, strength, and conditioning elements in every class, I always get a great full body workout. Having come from a CrossFit background (which I also loved), I appreciate that Longevity includes most of the same movements and equipment, but with less risk of injury. I came to Longevity after a rather sedentary period, and I started feeling and seeing results very quickly. Ben Weller has organized the program such that there are classes suited to all fitness levels, and I love that I can push myself. I appreciate Ben's inclusion of activities very specifically focused on balance, something that becomes critical as we age. As someone who came into the program relatively fit, I was surprised at how challenging the balance exercises are, and I've been pleased to see real improvement in my balance in a relatively short time. I am very grateful that we have this excellent program in Bloomington!

I was looking for a way to get some exercise when I ran into a friend at the Post Office. He mentioned that he had just finished a session at Longevity Bloomington, maybe I should check it out. He mentioned that the sessions are for 50 and older adults. I emailed Ben at Longevity and started the sessions in March of 2024.
I’d tried the YMCA and tried Twin Lakes before. They’re both great places. But without a set schedule I tended to put off going, I’ll do it later or tomorrow. It wasn’t working as I’d hoped. And without joining a class that was generally concentrated on one activity, there wasn’t much social interaction.
Longevity offers a scheduled time to participate, several sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each session is made up of 3 mini-sessions. Some time is spent on balance and coordination, time is spent with strength training and the last mini-session is all about aerobics/conditioning. Even though there isn’t a lot of “social” in the sessions, I do feel as though I’m part of the class of 2024, so to speak and it always feels as though each session is a social outing.
In the six months since I started with the program I’ve been able to lose some weight and my blood pressure has improved. At home I have more energy and my general attitude is much stronger.
I recommend Longevity Bloomington to anyone 50 years old and over. If you’re not now doing anything to improve your chance for a long life then this is a great way to get started.
The way I see it, Longevity Bloomington isn’t about getting me to the finish line in first place, it’s all about helping me to take the Longest time to get to the end in last place.

Longevity Bloomington has been a solution for me on several fronts. After the pandemic I was ready and eager for group exercise again to increase my community socialization. The fact that all the clients are over the age of 50 guarantees there are new friends to be made in my same stage of life.

In addition, the Longevity program of strength and weigh-bearing exercises has helped to improve the scores on my Dexa scans as prescribed for my osteoporosis, after years of stagnant progress. That fact alone is a huge selling point for me!

I have also appreciated the business model Ben employs. There are no expensive membership fees and no required time commitments. I pay for the classes I am able to attend and am not penalized for the classes I miss.

Our class has a very positive and encouraging vibe, where everyone is challenged individually and we receive the feedback needed to correctly keep our bodies functioning at our own best level. Ben's easy and friendly personality make the classes an enjoyable fitness experience. I never hesitate to recommend this program to friends and acquaintances!

I wish I could give this class more than 5 stars! After my old gym closed during Covid, I felt lost. I did my best to work out at home but I was missing a group dynamic full of support and camaraderie. I started at Longevity in the Spring of 2022 and instantly felt at home. The workout leaves you feeling energized and ready to take on the day. The class consists of a warm-up, strength, and then conditioning and every class is different from the last! Finding Longevity was truly life changing!
Classes provide strength training, cardio and balance exercises. These are all activities we need especially as we get older.

Don’t think, however, that these classes are easy just because the clients are over 50! Ben makes sure that everyone is working at their best capacity and that is individualized for each class member.

If Ben thinks you are going too easy on yourself, he will challenge you for sure with increased weights or more personally challenging poses/efforts.

I attend class with my sister and we both believe we are benefitting greatly from these classes.

Longevity and Ben are truly Bloomington treasures.

I have been attending Longevity Bloomington for almost 7 months. Having a certified physical therapist/trainer (Ben Weller) is key for me. He knows our physical limitations, and works with us during every session to get the optimum individual workout. I recently had an automobile accident. Luckily I wasn't injured. The terrain was uneven, and I had to "hitch" a ride with the tow truck driver. 7 months ago I couldn't have gotten up into that tow truck as easily as I did, and it is because strength and agility workouts made all the difference in the world! This is an over-the-top review from a seventy-five-year old who HATES exercising more than anything in the whole world, until...............my friends convinced me to give Longevity a try. Still cannot believe I love going to class, working with a teacher who genuinely cares about every single one of us with all our ills, aches, pains, and insecurities. I have already convinced several friends to join, and they all agree! Just do it; what a gift to give your body!

I look forward to my workouts at Longevity! Ben is encouraging, patient and knowledgeable. The community in class is so welcoming and helpful. I can feel the benefit of the workouts as I am stronger and steadier on my feet since I joined Longevity. Ben challenges me and modifies any moves that may be too difficult .
I am so glad I decided to commit Longevity and a healthier happier me !

Longevity Bloomington is one of those surprises in life. I hadn't been thinking about doing any such a thing. However, someone shared their experience and I decided to look into this idea of exercising. It's name sounded beneficial. After an e-mail I met with the instructor at the gym and he introduced me to some of the exercises I would be doing during any given workout.

The class that I joined has steadily increased my strength, balance, agility and physical well-being, but has also increased my circle of experiences with good people. I am getting a workout that I would not get in my every day activities. It is hard, but we each work at our own pace.
Our coach/instructor shows a genuine connection and concern for each and every one of us. He is invested in all of us. Come join us!

Ben is a great trainer! I was able to lift more weight than I did back in my Army days, with less soreness and no injuries. Ben knows how to train safely and effectively while also driving for results.

I typically don't write Google reviews (or reviews, in general), but I feel compelled in this case. If you're 50 or older (I'm 76 and a retired university professor), I encourage you to sign up for Longevity Bloomington. It's a 2-hour per week commitment for seniors that is transformative. The latest research suggests that Ben emphasizes what's needed to stay healthy and avoid or minimize major diseases. I wish I had begun these classes 25 years ago, but I feel and see the difference after a few months. My balance, strength, endurance, and flexibility have all improved. How Ben engages us surpasses working out by yourself or other classes that are not research-based. Finally, the sessions are friendly, supportive, and with zero shame. Give yourself this gift, moderately priced. Contact Ben and hear his fitness philosophy. He's great.

I joined Longevity approximately two months ago and it is a perfect
program for me.

I am 71 years old and my overall physical condition has declined substantially. I am amazed at my progress in just two months. Ben conducts great classes and pays close attention to each student in his class.

My classmates are encouraging and fun. I look forward to attending the classes and seeing my new friends. I highly recommend the program.

Very knowledgeable instructor who takes time to get to know her clients. She offers lots of tips and is very conscious of doing poses for the aging population as not to put their physical health and wellness at risk. Safety is her number one priority, allowing you to decide when you are comfortable pushing yourself just a little more. Best yoga class I have ever done. My only wish is that we could meet more than twice a week. Come visit, you won’t regret it!!

If there was an option to give more than five stars, I would.
This is definitely the place for the age 50s and over. I’ve always been exercise “shy” but for some reason I keep going back.
Ben ensures that every individual in class gets the help they need on the correct form of each exercise, and keeps each class varied, lively, and fun.
Longevity not only keeps me moving but also sane! It’s become an important part of my life.

I’m SO glad I found this class and I really enjoy going. I first started last fall because I was going to have my right knee replaced and wanted to build up some strength before the big surgery. I had it done the end of December of 2022 and returned to class in March. I have noticed a big difference in my strength, balance, energy, and overall fitness. Longevity is the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. Highly recommend!

Found Longevity at the perfect time for both myself and wife. We joined together and will be with Ben and his physical therapy expertise to keep our bodies moving for a long time. His class is filled with agility, balance, conditioning, strength training, stretching and always necessary warm ups. All done in an efficient 45 minutes with individual corrections of technique by the ever watchful Ben. We a lucky community to have this wonderful program. Efficient, thoughtful and a progressive program to keep older muscles and bodies moving into our future selves with grace and strength.

The challenge of staying physically strong as we age is real. The Longevity class on Tuesday and Thursday includes a wide range of warm-up, balance, cardio and strength activities; a great overall 45 minute workout.

Ben is constantly scanning the class to see anyone struggling or not in the correct position. He is then silently aside you with kindness and respect to suggest a body realignment or different weight, (often heavier!) His humor & words of encouragement enliven class participation.

The men and women in class come from a variety of past professions, causing a wide ranges of physical abilities or disabilities; yet all have one thing in common and that is an authentic appreciation of Ben as our instructor.

There is laughter, groans, and a feeling of accomplishment at each class. I encourage anyone wanting a fun supportive workout to give Longevity a try.

This is the first time I have enjoyed exercising. Ben does a great job of offering a lot of variety and is very helpful in adapting an excercise due to a past injury or my aging body. Working out with people in my age group is also a lot of fun as we jokingly complain, commiserate and encourage each other. I just finished a vacation with my family of 13 where I experienced how different exercises helped me to be able to do more with my 7 grandchildren than I had been able to do previously. I also now have more tolerance for the exercises that I have difficulty doing as I noticed how they have helped. Being able to do more in my daily activities is also an added bonus. My balance and strength have improved tremendously!! Great job, Ben!!! Keep up the wonderful work that you do!! I am so happy that I found Longevity Bloomington and Ben!!

As a new grandmother this class is just the best! I can carry my grandson in his carrier, get up and down with him - all with ease. I’m sure I would not have been saying this before Longivity (started Spring of 2022). And a year ago I was a regular customer at my chiropractor for my constant backache - my back never hurts now! Longivity classes and Ben are just the best!

I had gone through life for 66 years before I ever broke a bone. However, in a two month period in 2021 I had broken two bones! I had noticed prior to both incidents that my balance was not what it used to be.

I attended the Senior Expo at Switchyard Park and met Ben. He told me about Longevity and gave me his card. He followed up with me but I wasn’t yet ready to commit as I equated the word ‘exercise’ to something nasty. I have never, ever enjoyed exercising and the fact that I really needed to now didn’t sit well with me.

I finally talked myself into it and contacted Ben. He met with me and explained everything, answered my questions, addressed my concerns and I started attending class in October, 2022. I can’t always get there every week but the way that Ben structures the class, I never feel as if I have missed a component that will impact future workouts.

Ben has configured each session into warm up, balance/strength, conditioning and cool down work outs. He is very conscious about adjusting each task to fit the capability, or incapability, of each person. For me, his class is like having a personal trainer with several others there to keep me company!

I am at my six month mark of attending sessions at Longevity Bloomington. I still intensely dislike exercise. However, I have noticed a marked difference in my balance and stamina in walking and performing my everyday tasks. The benefits of going to Longevity Bloomington far outweigh my long-time personal disdain of exercise! Thank you Ben!

I am so glad I found this group on Facebook! It’s just the kind of program I was looking for. I’m a 71-year old woman who needs to work on my fitness. This program features work on balance, conditioning and strength—components you need in everyday living! You are working out with other seniors and it is not a competition. Ben Weller is a great teacher. I also feel comfortable working out with a physical therapist.

After a couple of years with no organized fitness training due to the Pandemic and three ortho surgeries, I was looking for a way to get back my body! More than anything I wanted to move better with less pain and feel stronger. And I wanted a friendly, supportive environment with a skilled, yet compassionate trainer. Well, at Longevity I have found everything I was looking for. The classes are challenging but really appropriate for people who want to improve their balance, strength, endurance and flexibility. Ben Weller is able to provide moderations to any exercise to accommodate any individual physical limitations. His professional knowledge as a Physical Therapist offers a greater understanding of approaching individual needs. And the group dynamic is friendly, supportive, and positive. I can't imagine a more wonderful place to develop the physical ingredients I need to grow older more gracefully! Longevity is a place to work hard, challenge your body, and feel the improvement - literally.
