Very unorganized establishment. The lady who runs the front is rude . We loved the dance instructor but it was just all around unorganized. Switched daughters to a new dance place .

This place is an absolute gem and such an important place for our little town of Mooresville! My kids have been going to MAP for various programs for the last several years and we are so thankful for a safe, affordable, second family for our kids! The recitals are adorable and the theater productions are always so cute!

We love Rosemary and all her staff.

I recently took the adult art classes with Erin on Monday evenings. Erin was such a joy to work with and I learned so many new things in just a short amount of time. Unfortunately due to my schedule change at work, I'm unable to attend. Hope to come back at a later time. Thank you MAPS! I'm so grateful Mooresville has a place like this in our community. 😍

While the location was ideal for us, unfortunately MAP hasn't worked out for our family. We first had my daughter there for dance classes, but had a bad experience with the teacher (she would frequently change the recital routine then get frustrated and yell when the 4-6 year old girls couldn't remember what to do.) Then, the recital was a disorganized affair, including that their class's costumes never arrived so they were given plain leotards and skirts from the studio shop the day before, with no refund offered. We subsequently switched to a different dance studio, which has been much better. More recently, we tried private music lessons (again due to the convenient location and schedule), and while it was okay, the teacher just wasn't a good fit for working with younger kids. The facility is older and needs some work (there was a big trail of ants crawling across the music lesson room floor for several weeks, although they eventually disappeared so I assume it was addressed), and the communication is pretty terrible - events and closings are announced by email usually the day before or the day of, and there doesn't seem to be a master calendar. From what I can tell, there seems to be a fair amount of staff turnover also. The idea behind MAP is good, but the execution is sorely lacking, and we've had enough.

We went today so my daughter could observe the beginner tap class. The studio was very unorganized and the class was to begin at 4pm. The instructor didn't show up until 410 and class started at 415 with students straggling in until 430. The owner sent us in to the class without any introduction to the instructor, she then came in to let the instructor know we were observing and the instructor rolled her eyes and never spoke to us at all. The instructor didn't act like she was happy to be there either. Needless to say we won't be joining this studio, our business will be going elsewhere.

I know through this whole pandemic things were off but I left for voicemails with no response. I think out of courtesy I would’ve at least gotten a phone call saying they were closed open whatever.

Great place! Super great teachers. Loved that they offered so many different forms of art. Lots of options. At first glance Mooresville Arts Partnership looked like a charming... but pretty small building but upon being inside the building I realized it’s a lot bigger! All in all, had a great experience and highly recommend taking classes here.

I had a lot of fun at MAP! Made the best friends ever and the teachers were absolutely incredible. Also my teamates were awesome! I miss dancing there, all the weekends at competition and the classes... number 1 dance school!

I have always loved the Mooresville Arts Partnership. 10 years ago MAP opened and my competitive dancing career began. In those ten years I have learned so much. I’ve grown not only as a dancer but also as a person. Each teacher I had always made sure they were moving my abilities forward and when something wasn’t working they’d find another way to present or teach it. From vocal lessons to tap dancing MAP has it all in a very fun and welcoming environment. Everyone who works here cares about your arts education and you can tell. MAP is truly open for the community and they are very understanding. MAP gives opportunities and experiences other places simply cannot. If you want a place that truly cares about your children’s dance, art, theatre, or vocal training then i highly recommend the Mooresville Arts Partnership. Thank You for the experiences and thank you mom for opening this business it truly inspired and created who I am today!

The instructors for tumbling need classes on how to instructor children. What a huge disappointment this turned out to be for the whole family! SMH!!!

I enrolled my 4 year old in tumbling, Rosemary, the owner, suggested I get the package $200 for 5 months. That included the recital outfit and 2 tickets. Tonight after only 6 classes, I asked for the remainder of my money back. That was even after complaining about the 2 so called instructions for the tumbling class. The entire staff is VERY unprofessional and obviously not passionate about what they are being paid to do. The instructors were rough with the children when they touched them, were not encouraging, did not have manners and refused to learn the student's names. After complaining to Rosemary about how I observed the instructors being, the only thing that changed was they started taking attendance, even then, they didn't call any of the students by their name. They called them by what was on their clothes. I DO NOT recommend anyone sending their child there no matter if it is good prices. The price is not worth how the way my child was treated.

Do NOT join theater group! The teacher (Ms. Rosemary) picks out bad roles for people with tons of potential!

My daughter danced at MAP competitively for a season and grew as a dancer thanks to the teachers. The business and owner is terribly disorganized. We didn't know until the last minute what was going on. The dancers wouldn't receive their costumes until the night before a competition, so if there were problems with it, oh well. For parents that have never been involved with a competitive team, you would be really lost. Things were not told or written in a manner that was easily understood. If you asked questions to the owner she would always have an excuse, and then she gets upset with you when you ask those questions. Forget about having an opinion about anything. You'll have a bullseye on your back and then told that for the next season that you wouldn't be able to be at the studio while my dancer practices or in the dressing rooms at competions while getting ready. Even though I paid her over $5500 for the last season and it would have been even more this upcoming season. It's not listed on their websites anywhere that on top of the monthly unlimited tuition of $115 a month, if your dancer does a solo, duet or trio, it's an extra $50 per month. It also doesn't state anywhere that you will have to pay anywhere from $980 for a competition solo, and anywhere from $650-$450 PER competitive dance your child is in. That not not include the $125 for a warm up suit that my dancer didn't even receive until the season was almost over, the traveling, hotel costs, food costs to go to OH and FL, required make-up, and hair accessories and styling products, the required MAP shirts that students are required to where for certian things. This is all separate cost from the monthly tuition fees. You'll also have to go and buy all black leotards, shirts, shorts, etc bc that's what the teams have to practice in. We estimated that we paid over $6500 last season. This is also a very small studio and competition team and they don't do as well as other studios at the competions. The parents all talk behind the owner's, and other parents back. It's really just an unhealthy environment for all involved. With that being said because my daughter made friends there and loves to dances with her whole heart, we were completely devastated when conditions were put on her parent for her to dance there as mentioned above. So, needless to say, my dancer chose of her own free will that she did not want to dance at a studio that treated her parent that way, and I, as her parent thought it was completely unfair, and a biased decision. So, if you can handle disorganization, spending thousands and thousands of dollars to dance competitively, like not getting information or the correct information, like not being able to have an opinion about anything, not having any free time time, and like drama, this place is for you. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the instructors are great, and your dancer will make some friends. Good luck on your decision.

My daughter loves dancing at MAP. This is the start of our 3rd dance season. They put the dancers first and offer many different styles of dance.

My children were enrolled in dance, but I had to cancel the classes. While I was there, I heard one of the instructors screaming at the students. I sent an email asking to unenroll but the money was taken from my account. I was told in an email that I would receive a refund check by mail - $110- it has been 4 months (2/6/17) since that email. I still have not received my refund.

Pros: My daughter has enjoyed going here, the price of classes doesn't break your wallet, my daughter is getting exposed to all kinds of art.

Cons: As a parent MAP is so frustrating. I never know what is going on or where/when my daughter needs to be, until the last minute. In general things at MAP are terribly disorganized.

If the teachers would take time at the beginning of the classes to explain expectations, important dates, etc. it would help. A bulletin board of sorts in the lobby would help announcing important dates.

That being said I appreciate the time all the volunteers at MAP put in.
