Im someone who finds it pretty hard to have to study on my own without any support, but the book is pretty straight forward. I’d say, it would help more if they eliminated things that we don't need to learn at the moment, to support us people that don’t have a lot of downtime to get through studying. Also, maybe a step by step of what we need to do as first timers in this field after passing the test.

CLASSROOM FOR 2 DAYS,INSTRUCTION WAS RIGHT ON POINT.I READ THE ENTIRE PROGRAM AND DID EVERY TEST AND QUIZ. I PREPARED FOR THE EXAM BY READING EVERYTHING AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND PROBABLY STUDIED 80 HOURS PLUS.I knocked the certification exam out in 50 minutes at the testing center.Had my results in a minute.Great program, well worth the money.

I found the NFPT material to be very informative and easy to assimilate. The resource material (videos), practice exams and online review of the workbook questions were instrumental in my ability to pass the exam.
The only item on my wish list would be a final score on the exam and not just a passing score. You do receive a complete review and answers along with a score on your practice exams. It does state that you'll receive your NFPT exam results, including whether you passed or failed, along with a detailed score report. After I inquired about it, I was told you only get a pass/fail which was very disappointing.
Moving on, I have attended a webinar regarding the success rate of Personal Trainers and how to come out of the gates better prepared with a toolbox full of material to help you become more successful. They also have every kind of PDF you can imagine to use to personalize your own method of training and materials to use such as PAR'Q's, Informed Consent, and Liability Waivers. You will have everything you need at your fingertips along with an array of added specialty courses you can take to become certified in specific areas to make yourself more marketable.
In addition, the customer service and response time is amazing. The responses are personalized and directly relate to your questions. They get an A+ in Customer Service.

I am a physical therapist who recently took the NFTP training so that I could help my injured patients return to their exercise and weight training programs safely. I had a good experience w my training in 2022 as the instructor was very knowledgable and made it simple to follow. My exam was surprising as there were quite a few unfamiliar questions after studying the material given. However, it made me dig in a little deeper my second go round which helped, and the online support is what pushed me though as well. I highly recommend NFPT if looking to join the CPT field and I am proud to be a member.

I've been a certified personal trainer through NFPT since 2009. At the time I didn't realize that personal training was "my calling" or my next career so I wasn't comfortable with spending a ton of money to get certified compared to some of the big certification companies. Also at that time, I needed something that was convenient with my schedule when it came to studying for the exam. Fortunately, NFPT offers a great foundation to become a personal trainer. The company is true to their word and are not only affordable but have flexible options for preparing for your personal training exam that can fit your schedule. I've been fortunate to have run my own gym, publish articles, and continue my personal training business which all started with the initial certification through NFPT.
