I have been a member for about a year and a half - before I joined I didn’t think I would ever run again not only can I run a mile under 10 minutes now but I’m stronger than I’ve been since high school and I just turned 40! The coaches are great about working with a range of abilities - I feel challenged but not intimidated! I highly recommend you give this location and orange theory a try!

I came back from being gone for almost 2 years and the staff welcome me back and have been super helpful! Today was a relay and it was hard but it helps me disconnect from work (I work in education & operations) right now it’s the BUSIEST season and it’s helpful to just come in do my workout and feel great!

I joined OT Downtown Indy when there was a flood in the gym in my building. I figured it wold be a brief maybe 2mth commitment until my gym was renovated. I've been a member of tons of gyms in my life. I have never experienced an environment like this one though. Not only is every single member of the staff incredibly welcoming and helpful, the coaches are all insanely supportive and encouraging. I was recently traveling and I went to a couple OT's out of state. I was SO HAPPY to come back to this one! Compared to the others it was like night and day. This one is SO spacious. And bright. And impeccably maintained. I can't say enough good things about this location:) Needless to say, even though the gym in my building has been open for months, I couldn't imagine OT not being a part of my day anymore. It has breathed new life into my working out, and I've met some really awesome people!

I normally don't write negative reviews, but as a 2 year member of OTF Downtown Indy I feel compelled to communicate how I was recently treated incredibly poorly as a customer. If this was a year ago, this would have been a 5 star rating (Coach Alexa is the best and I really enjoyed the workouts!). However, recently I have been dealing with a hip issue that likely was onset and exacerbated by OT and have been going to physical therapy. Last month, I asked to pause my account as I was dealing with the injury. I didn't read the fine print as I thought I would manually unfreeze when the injury was over and reactivate the account. Instead it was a 30 day freeze and I was charged for following month. I get it, I didn't read the fine print. I emailed them asking for a refund and some grace as I rehab my injury. Instead I got an email from studio manager Kyle which had language like:
"Looks like you chose a 30-day freeze" and "You would have needed to contact us prior to extend" putting all the blame on ME. A lot of "you" statements which seemed a bit offensive. He ended it with "We are unable to refund the current billing."
I take full responsibility for not understanding it was a freeze, and in the grand scheme of things not getting $99 back is not an issue. It's about the principle. That's how you're going to treat a 2 year member? Not even starting the email with, "Hey sorry about your injury" or trying to provide a little grace? It was really appalling to get that response.
So that's why I'm giving a 1 star review. If at the very least Kyle would have mentioned something about hope rehab is going well and had an ounce of tact in the response, I probably would have rejoined OT once I was done with rehab. I will not go back to this OT ever because of this. I hope it was worth it to lose out on $1,200 per year over the foreseeable future because of the way you treated customers. The callous response and inflexibility with this was some of the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

Haven’t been yet, but was just called at 6:30 am to confirm my 9:30am class. As a girl that struggles to sleep, might be my first and only class… excited to try it out, but now have to stay awake 3 more hours. Would maybe suggest not calling that early.

Five star staff and facility, two star 2025 schedule.
I strongly feel that strength 50 is a hidden gem of OTF. I do enjoy the 2G classic format; however, after being able to attend strength 50 for about a year and half I believe these classes are what really improved my physique and gave me new confidence around weight training I never had before. They allowed me to lift weight in a class setting and with a coach - which for me was much more comfortable than going to a gym and trying to figure out a training program for myself or finding a personal trainer.
I was able to find a balance of strength 50 and 2G classes that really worked for me and made me feel my best and unfortunately, coming into 2025 60% of my class schedule was eliminated with the removal of 8PM evening classes (and the Saturday 90 minute which I loved).
I 100% respect and understand the impact these changes have on me are not the same for everyone but it was and remains to be a huge disappointment that there is not any emphasis on strength 50. The only other times to take strength (and tread 50) are at 10:45AM Mon-Fri which due to work I can't attend. If I'm lucky, on occasional Fridays I may be able to squeeze in the 3:10PM lower body, and sometimes the Saturday 11:20AM total body.
I do still enjoy OTF, and will continue to attend the 2G class formats for the time being but, considering I can look up the strength 50 class templates on Reddit (and because the amazing coaching staff DT gave me confidence to lift heavy) it's not an impossibility that in the future I could see myself canceling my membership and chance it on my own at the YMCA.
Again, I love the community and I love the staff. Honestly, out of other OTF studios I've been to we are so, so spoiled to have natural light, up to date equipment, and treads in front of windows! Perhaps in the future ownership might consider evaluating the studio schedule as a whole and provide more dynamic options rather than just simply cutting the classes that are least attended.

I have been doing orange theory for about a month now and I absolutely love it! Before I had a traditional gym membership where I worked out on my own and needed a change of pace/motivation. I love OTF because the workouts are already planned and you get to workout alongside a motivated group of individuals. Plus, you can use your membership at different OTF locations which is nice for me since I travel quite a bit. Coach Alexa and Coach Nikki at the downtown location are awesome! I truly believe there is no better way to start the day than with an OTF workout. Thank you OTF Downtown for getting me back into working out again!

Admittedly, I have a love/hate relationship with OTF. Most often I dread walking in but I always love when the workout is over and I know I accomplished something. But seriously, I always appreciate walking in knowing that the workout is structured and I'll leave sweating. It has helped me supplement my weight training program with structured cardio. Although my location draws a younger crowd, I don't feel out of place - other than struggling to hear the coach over the loud music. And if needed, I modify elements on the floor.

This place is amazing! The facility is immaculate and has the best tech in town. The staff get to know you personally and always make you feel welcome. The coaches are incredible (you have to do a class with Lizz to see what I mean) and will give you one-on-one coaching moments when you need it but give the entire class encouragement. I never thought I’d enjoy group workouts or going to the gym, but I love both and look forward to my class all day.

Review after first three months: I LOVE ORANGE THEORY. In the past, I have focused on running, hot yoga, Pilates, weight lifting. I was always intimidated by Orange Theory thinking it was too intense for me. I signed up for the free class and haven’t gone back to other workouts since!
My favorite things: the staff and coaches are SO kind and helpful, and they even remember my name already! The classes are a different “template” every day, but you’re always doing a bit of weights, rowing, and power walking/running so I feel it’s a full body workout, but it changes every day to focus on certain things (strength, endurance, power, etc.)
You can make the workout as intense as YOU want and I truly never feel like I’m competing against other people, so it’s not intimidating.
I always walk away from the class feeling strong and amazing. The location is super clean and nice. Can’t recommend enough! I’m so glad I decided to try it out.

Great studio and great staff! I’ve been coming to the studio since 2019; I took a break while I was waiting to get vaccinated and have surgery but as soon as I was able to come back I signed up again. While I had been consistently taking classes-I recently went through some hard family situations and a funeral unexpectedly so I wasn’t able to come in for a month. They were kind and understanding and helped me with my membership. Management and staff were easy to talk to and want to see you reach your fitness goals. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a great place for group fitness.

If you're looking for a high energy, positivity filled group fitness studio in downtown Indy then look no further! OTFDT is where it's at. Centrally located with great parking options, this studio and the community that make it go are top notch. Head Coach Alexa Zeller is a rock star (really all the coaches are, so shout out to Andy, Katie, Lizz, Oscar, Ryan and Troy too!!) and the wonderful studio staff like Anna, Brodie, Emily, Herson, Mikayla and Shelby make everyone feel really welcome and keep it all running like clockwork.
If you don't know about OrangeTheory Fitness I encourage you to check it out! The Coaches genuinely care about the members, getting even more excited about my progress than I do (shoutout Alexa!), and the Sales Associates always have a warm or “congrats” to share. The workout made it easy to just focus on giving my best effort and not having to think about it at all. Everything is all planned out for me and I can track how hard I’m pushing myself in real time.

I leave feeling like I gave it my all. I also like that the three stations plus multiple blocks keeps the hour moving. This is the first workout in a long time that I actually look forward to and not dread!

I always feel better leaving an OTF workout...no matter how badly I didn't want to workout that day! The coaches, staff and fellow workout buddies are all so motivating and nice. I've never enjoyed a gym experience more!

When we visit this studio, we are always heartily welcomed by Lucas... and this trip to Indy we trained with Kaleigh. She's hard-charging, energetic, and funny!

I love the coaches. They seem so into helping each individual no matter that person's level of ability.

I lost out on a lot of money due to bad communication at this location. They will tell you that “membership is reciprocal.” All their employees are trained to repeat this language when you ask them whether you can workout at other locations. This was very important to me because I live part of the year in Indy and the other in Chicago. What they conveniently failed to tell me was that I would actually have to cancel membership in Indy and reapply in Chicago in order for the Chicago studio to be my home studio. If I didn’t make he Chicago studio my home studio, then I’d be charged a $10 surcharge each workout. I workout 4-5 times a week so that was not an option for me. They also failed to tell me that Chicago ( and other certain metropolitan locations) cost way more than in Indy. So even if I did make Chicago my home studio, my monthly membership would cost way more than I was paying in Indy. When I was signing up at the Indy office, these were all questions that I explicitly asked about and they just conveniently failed to tell me. When I called them to fix this issue, all Sam the mambeger could tell me was that my options were to 1) go outside of the city each workout to get the cheaper membership price 2) pay the higher Chicago price 3) cancel my membership AND lose out on the days that I had remaining for the month which I had already paid for. Complete bad communication. They keep relying on the fact that each studio is separately owned as their explanation for the failed communication. Sam was also insencirere in his communications with me and pretty much had the tone of “you’re out of luck. Not sure what you were told at sign up but there’s nothing I can do for you.” Just be weary with this location and do your own research before signing ANYTHING.

Orange Theory offers free first time classes. So, I invited my friend to a class who *currently* lives in Illinois because she is moving to downtown Indy this summer. When they found out she still lives in Illinois they told her she could no longer come for free and had to pay $28 for a drop in class. I called back to clear up the situation and explain she was in the market for a new studio when she moves and was interested in orange theory. They refused to let her try the class for free until she actually moved downtown. That is just bad business and put a bad taste in my friend’s mouth about their particular studio.
In my personal expericence of using this studio, I have had a fine experience otherwise and I don’t want to let this bad customer service experience completely sway my opinion. I do have a few friends that often complain about their ability to explain things and the class time availability.

They do keep you moving. Everything gets worked out, even your ears which are tortured by extremely loud hip hop (or something) music. They over compensate for age, thus making it look like I'm getting more benefit than all the kids.
