Planning a trip to the Islands so needed a little color . All Tanning places in Plainfield and Avon wanted $100 or more the gym charged me$26 unlimited for a month. It was clean super easy and VERY reasonable

Visiting family nearby and needed a day pass and free weights. This place has both and for $7 it’s a good deal. The equipment is vintage and not fancy, but you’re just pushing weights around so who cares? I didn’t try the tanning bed so cant say if that’s good.

Been coming here since either 2015 or 2016 so very long time. I can full heartedly say it's the best gym I've ever been too. I've been to la, crunch , planet fatness , anytime I tried them all even worked at some pt as a cleaner. You will not get that friendly open arms kind of feeling at any other gym than Plainfield gym tan. Angie and Don both great people always been good to me same with the other staff. They ain't money hungry greedy business folks like corporate gyms are. It's cheap and affordable and the equipment is that old school kind of style which I love. Everyone you meet their is super nice too. Nobody judges or gonna laugh at you for trying something new or failing. I've seen the same folks in their that I saw when I first started . I love it.

I can’t say enough about this gym and the owners. All employees are helpful and always ready to answer questions about machines or workouts. This is a REAL judgement free zone. Lost 50lbs since being here and now I have a little gym community! HIGHLY recommended for first timers!!

I was very interested in purchasing a 1 year couples membership. I came in on a Thursday to look around and noticed that ALL FOUR stationary bikes either didn't work or were very "wobbly". I asked the nice girl up front if I could speak to the owner or manager about it and she said I should call the next day and talk to Angie. I called twice and left a voicemail. I gave them until Monday eve. and did not receive a return call so I went ahead and signed up at Anytime Fitness.
I think this gym has more serious workout vibe than other gyms, as I did not see anyone occupying equipment while exercising their fingers on their phones but, not having a solid working exercise bike is a deal breaker for me!

This is a GREAT and FABULOUS OLD SCHOOL gym. Real cast iron free weights, hammer Smith, nautilus equipment. Great price and pay monthly as you go. I was a member with anytime fitness for 13+ years and had problems with them the last 8 months. Thank you anytime for pushing me out the door!!!!! I drove by Plainfield Gym & Tanning for 10 1/2yrs wondering and curious. Signed up Jan 30th, 2024. Only thing about anytime I will miss is there lightning for my progress pics. Been going for six years, never once had a reason to go elsewhere. It’s cheap, the equipment is good, not too noisy and not too relaxed, good crowd, and it’s a local business. There’s a separate room if you want to be more intense and a main room if you want a more chill workout. If I were to describe the atmosphere I’d say it’s sort of an 80’s style weightlifting gym.

I used to love this place. It was small and I got used to the crew I worked out with every day. That lasted about 18 months. Now it's basically a daycare. Kids are allowed to run around and play on equipment and it's full of high school kids who would rather make videos of themselves working out and flexing, than actually work out. It was great while it lasted but I'm going to have to go somewhere else. My motivation is taking a huge hit because of the atmosphere.

An amazing place for tanning with wonderful prices, the beds are great also, along with the gym and tanning Don and Angie are amazing at counseling whether you're forced to or you want to, advantage counseling is a great place to go. Don is real, blunt, and extremely honest. He's the man to go see if you're ready to knock your habit.
