We love this gym! The employees are great!! The gym is packed with equipment that is great for all types of workouts,
They have tanning beds and massage beds and chairs as well.
You can also get a personal trainer if you want one. So many perks come with being a member.
You aren't obligated to a contract either . You can pay as little as $1 down to start . Check it out you won't be disappointed.

UPDATE: Nothing bad to say about this place. We talked about it and i totally understand why everything went down like it did. In my travels along the way I was looking for a Planet Fitness to workout in to stay fit and healthy. I have a Planet fitness black card which is great, allowing you to workout in any of there gyms in the U.S. so no excuses right!!!

I stopped in Columbus,Indiana twice for a great workout and both times I visited I was greeted with smiling faces from the employees and plenty of equipment to workout on.

I want to rate the Columbus Indiana Planet Fitness customer service the highest rating available. No matter if I go in at 6am or 10pm I always get excellent helpful customer service! They go beyond their call of duty to make their customers happy and to accommodate their needs. Madison Indiana Planet Fitness on the other hand definitely lacks in customer service. I'm a black card member which means that I can go into any Planet Fitness that I want. Madison Indiana employees have been right down rude to me and not accommodating at all. They wouldn't help me figure out how to bring up my bar code. But when I went to the Columbus Indiana gym, not only did they help me bring up my bar code and he also screenshot it for me! How awesome is that!

Sammy was extremely helpful when I visited she was very knowledgeable with all the questions I had. Sammy was polite respectful and professional,with all the guests she encountered. Sammy made sure all the disinfectant bottles and paper towels were full at least 3 times in the hour in a half I was there.

I haven't been to the gym in a while but walking in and seeing smiling and welcoming faces behind the counter makes it a lot easier. Sam and Cayden were amazing this morning welcoming me in and the bathrooms and floors were probably the cleanest I've seen them.
Its nice to come back to a clean gym with amazing staff. Keep it up

This has been my home gym for a few years now on and off and I love it! Thank you to Dalton for always helping out with advice on machines. I would not recommend. My wife signed up for a membership and never went here. It's a very long drive and there's just no way. This was the most difficult thing to get out of in my entire lifetime. We were eventually able to cancel this mistake after making multiple trips here. The process took several months, meanwhile, we were being charged. It would have been a lot easier to just close our bank account and deal with the lesser mess.

PROS: The price is wonderful. I am a Black Card member so i get to bring a buddy (but they dont get to enjoy the full benefitslike i do- just the gym equipment.). I really enjoy having access to multiple services... including a personal trainer. The showers are clean. The front desk is very helpful and they are very good about providing the information you need. The massage chairs and hydrobeds are nice. The app is also really nice and can tell you how busy it is at the gym. The gym is very clean. CONS: Personal trainer benefits are becoming limited. Massage chair #16 has a hole in the seat (however, was told it was going to be fixed.). Planet Fitness is not open 24 hours which is not beneficial for people who work late hours.

Very overcrowded at peak hours. Filled with machines that nobody uses and not nearly enough free weights. Staff doesn't enforce any etiquette. People using benches just to hold their phone and water bottles while multiple people are waiting for a bench. People hogging SIX sets of dumbells at their bench. Others hogging the one leg press machine for 20+ minutes, spending 75% of the time talking instead of exercising.

Hot Water? More Like False Hope

This Planet Fitness has had *cold shower complaints for years* YEARS.
And guess what? Still not fixed. Management’s go-to move? Gaslight and deflect ----“Contact us directly.” Translation: look like we care, while we do absolutely nothing.

The water *starts* warm, teases you for a minute, then turns arctic----every time.

If you’ve ever wanted to test your willpower or simulate a polar plunge, congrats, this is your gym.

The showers are clean, sure! but that’s likely because *no one can stand to use them*.

Shame, because the staff here is actually great. Friendly, attentive, respectful.

The gym’s small but laid out efficiently.

But all that goes down the drain. ----*ice cold, of course*----when basic amenities like hot water are neglected for *years*.

This isn’t a complaint. This is a wake-up call. Fix it, or stop pretending like you care.

If your people can't show up on time to open the gym, make it a 24 hour one and stop pretending that it's any kind of real gym. Real gyms have dedicated athletes who strive for better health. PF employees can't even bother showing up so I doubt fitness is on their minds. It would be different if this was a one off thing but it's not. They are frequently late at the Columbus, Indiana site with zero repercussions. It's a waste and a terrible feeling to have a shot pre-workout in you only to be forced to sit and wait and if course they make it damn near impossible to file a complaint. At some point, membership prices need to drop because I'm tired of paying this much to have to just workout at my hotel weekly.

The worst planet fitness tanning beds I've ever been in. The bulbs never got hot and they are so dirty. The female staff on duty was not helpful at all. She expected me to know where everything was even though I told her I had never been to this location. Super disappointed!!

I have been going to this PF for many years and although it has variety of machines and weights and isn’t usually so crowded that you can’t find something to do, half the TVs don’t work and if they do, they are mostly tuned into news channels. The bathrooms look like they have years of built up dust on the walls and the stalls, mirrors, toilets and fixtures don’t look like they have a thorough cleaning daily. There is always dust bunnies around the edges of the walls and in the corners and under the free weights. It used to be maintained much better, but in the last couple years the cleanliness has gone downhill. I do appreciate how inexpensive it is so I continue to maintain my membership, but it definitely could use some deep cleaning.

The darkest gym I've ever been to! It's awful!!! Planets are notorious for being low lit and with almost zero natural light and this place is THE WORST I've ever been to. I travel for work, as well as pleasure, and I've been in probably 100 different Planets from central Florida to Michigan...this is THE darkest, most depressing gym I've ever been to. The dumbbell racks are filthy also; They could learn a thing or two from others and CLEAN THOSE RACKS!!!

The Columbus Indiana Planet fitness is an excellent gym! It is always clean, including the bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms. The guest service associates are always extremely helpful and kind. Even in January, when everybody starts going to the gym for New Year's, I've not had to wait for a treadmill or a machine. And of course, the massage chairs and hydro massage beds are spectacular after a workout. Highly recommend!

I would give them a zero rating if I could! I had to go into the store and change my billing information so I Did very annoying in this day and age. The next billing cycle came and they withdrew monthly fees from canceled account instead of new account. I was charged over draft fees for planet fitness mistake. The snot nose teenager manager would not reimburse me for their mistake and he was rude and hung up the phone on me.

Me and my girlfriend started going to this gym about 2 months ago and the gentleman who works there Ray laid out our options for us and helped us choose the best membership options. He was super nice and helpful and made the process of signing up way easier.

BEWARE OF SCAM - It looks like a scam with annual fee. They charged my card on January 1st without notifying or even texting me. I couldn’t cancel online as there is no customer service number and you have to do it in personal, so had to cancel it on Jan 2nd going there in person and they are like I would still be charged for $39. As I kept tracking my card I found I was being charged I would tell everyone to keep watching your account for things they keep charging without notifying us.

I started going 2021 right about a little after covid early covid cant remember, I have not used it in a year currently I think the last time I went was December, Jan, I tried to figure out how to cancel through app you can't you have to go into the store to cancel I had gotten covid three times shortly after couldn't go in I'm not using equipment there's no loss of business I was not given the mail it in option ,all the while being charged and it declining then being charged a fee for that then being told I can't cancel unless I paid my outstanding balance was paid now its August still being charged still haven't gone now a whopping 344 dollars and change still have not canceled because I didn't have a job at the lost it thanks to covid so just be weary if you can't pay it you will be stuck otherwise it was a great gym
