My husband and I cancelled our accounts TOGETHER at the same time. We were not given proof of cancellation. We didn’t think this was a big deal. However, they continued to quietly charge us without us noticing and are now refusing to refund us even though we CANCELLED in person per policy. They also confirmed they have no record of us trying to go to the gym following cancellation. I would NOT reccomend starting a relationship with this gym. They are sneaky and will steal your money. We have attempted to correct this with the gym including the gym manager none of which who have showed any concern or compassion. Would highly suggest supporting a LOCAL gym with people who care.

Be as clear and direct with them when you want to cancel or do it online. They will try to freeze instead and then continue to charge you for as long as you're not paying attention. This went on for 2 years before I finally caught it on my bank statement. They need to stop with the shady account management and actually call member that haven't shown up in a while and offer to cancel without the hoops.

Let me just start by saying I have no idea how I as the customer am able to make "duplicate" accounts just for them to rack up money and me not know about it. There was no email sent to me warning me I owe money. No one in this disaster of an economy is going to have time to pay that off. I would have gladly come back if I were able to make split payments of 50$ on this nonsense but there is no empathy from such an 'empowering' environment.

Guys Guys Guys! If you want to freeze or cancel the membership, wait for the front desk person to give you all details, email ID to so you can send email to cancel and they send you confirmation of cancellation. Just telling them while going out is not enough. They will keep charging you monthly.
Other than that - reasonable and good place to workout. No problem with their equipment yet. Will update more if something comes up.

I have tired to cancel my membership on numerous occasions. They will only allow you to cancel in person, which I have done. I actually had to call my credit card company to put a block on the charges because no matter how many times I go in to cancel they don’t cancel it.

This is my favorite planet fitness location. There's a good selection of machines. Plate loaded equipment: Hack squat, seated calf raise, flat bench press, 45 degree leg press, and I believe an ab machine. But I've never used that one. There's 2 pec deck machines here. The one I used to go to only had one. The dumbbells go up to 75 pounds. There's 4 smith machines and 3 cable stations. Plus plenty of other strength and cardio equipment. Overall it's a good gym.

Judgement free is great when you need to do some physical therapy work! Also, all of the equipment is sufficiently spread out, so you never feel like you're on top of someone else. The lighting is dim and sets the mood for relaxation. The massage chairs need updating. In my opinion, Sandy, at Meijer, is the only ride I'll allow in my life that takes coins (just for a little feedback). The people are wonderful, just make sure to bring your own eye protection when tanning, they're sticklers!

Update 12/24: I just got wind that there is an upcoming spring remodel. Fingers crossed for new massage chairs! Also, the recent update with the new lights definitely brightened the space, but still allow for the more traditional warm feel we all grew to love. Thumbs up for the franchise, with just a hint of positive judgment.

I like Planet Fitness and this location is no exception. The low grade stems from broken equipment weeks on end, broken towel dispensers and the clock on the wall being set to a random time (not actual time). It seems like things have changed here over time. One minor detail is that the machines used to be perfectly lined up and now they are askew. I know that's minor but it seems to be a noticeable change in detail over time. Otherwise the facility is clean and the staff is friendly.

I canceled my membership back in April, the girl at the desk took my phone number and said it is cancelled. 4 months later I see they have been deducting money every month. Called today, and without a signed document which I was never told to sign when I went in they cannot give me a refund. Imagine that. But they were able to cancel it over the phone today.

I really liked this place. It’s clean and the people there are friendly. But what happens is when you want to cancel they will give you a run around. Has to be done on this date, no that date next month. I am a busy mother and student, last thing I need is a run around trying to cancel “anytime” service.

Update: tried reaching out to customer service. Conveniently their office closes at 4pm? On a week day?
Called the second number they provided tells me to talk to the local store. I have already done that.
If a manager wants to talk it will be over email because this will be recorded.
I am fed up with the run around.

The worst planet fitness customer service. I'm a black card member. I scanned my membership and then was going to charge my device and come back. Or even be in the parking lot. Their frontdesk told me I have to be at the club working out to charge.

This is the first time I hear this and I have been all over the country and charging my battery with no issue at all.

Like I said, I did scan myself. Its not like I came in to charge without being a member.

In other planet fitness abroad and even around here in fort wayne no one has ever told me I have to be working out and be at the club to charge and can't stay in the car in parking. LIKE WHAT?!!!!

They should remove the count of scanning me in because I walked out!!!

It's a planet fitness in a very nice neighborhood 3 miles off highway 69 and is located next to a Walmart and has a Panera Bread store along the way....the club itself has friendly people , and is not too crowded, but closes early on Thursday night , so you need to get there earlier...it's a small parking area so you need to be aware of this if you have an RV with a trailer and need to scope it out slowly so you don't get stuck in a corner but if you stay in the back row of the front area and take up several spaces you should be able to maneuver out...

I like that it's open 24/7. It's spacious, clean, has a large variety of equipment to use, and is a great value.

It's awesome that it has 4 stairmasters, but they are fairly popular, so sometimes you have to wait for a machine to be available (even when the gym overall isn't very busy), especially because usually at least one is out of order. I don't think I've ever seen more than half of the ellipticals in use. So I suggest that you remove a couple of ellipticals and replace them with stairmasters.

Love this gym, always will, only thing I would say needs to change is the music choice.. come on, not everyone is in their 40s or 50s and wants to hear that music. Also.. maybe ask that women don’t douse themselves in musk after showering. It physically made me cough when I went into the locker room. Other than that, I will always come here, there’s always small issues when bringing multiple people to one place. Love this place though!

Very affordable gym. The atmosphere and equipment are very clean and they usually keep the temperature nice and cool so it isn't too hot while working out. The employees are polite when speaking with you, and it is always nice to strike up a conversation before or after a workout. All machines have diagrams showing how to do an exercise, so don't feel intimidated if you don't know what to do. Highly recommend for any person willing to frequently work out.

This morning around 6:30am (10/28/23) my mom went here to work out and slipped and fell in the parking lot. It breaks my heart thinking of her on the ground in pain. She made it inside and got help from the two amazing, kind, wonderful employees: CJ and Lenny (I hope I have their names right) they did everything to help clean and bandage her up. I returned to planet fitness after being gone over a year due to many things when when I came in I got on the treadmill for awhile and before I left I stopped at the desk to ask questions and the guys behind the counter were very helpful I only remember one of their names Devon and they made me feel like what I was wanting and needing to accomplish was a good goal.
