Today was my first time at this location. Extremely clean!! Very nice staff! The two guys helped my friend find her buddy pass on her phone. GOOD variety of different machines in there. Bathroom was clean as well. Music wasnt too loud or too low and a good variety. If you forget your headphones, you'll be ok.

The employees are friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of running, walking, and treadmill machines and plenty of them. There is a wide variety of weight lifting machines, almost 2 of every kind. I don’t do free weights so no comment there. For an extra $10/month, the deep-tissue massage chairs are my favorite (although at the Hammond location 2 of the 3 have been problematic lately). The hydro beds and lounge chairs are great also. The only negative I have is the music is too loud and not to my liking, but that is usually remedied by playing Pandora on my phone.

I like the atmosphere somewhat at this gym but the cancellation process has been the most difficult and disturbing process I’ve ever had and I probably won’t ever get another planet fitness membership at the Hammond Indiana location again after this they wasted so much of my time thru this and told me I can only send a letter even though I was already moved out of state and it’s an online option for there club never again

Last year, I came in to cancel my planet fitness account and told the woman, cancel my account, I will be going overseas for a year. She said this might charge me this month because of the day of month, but after that no more. I went overseas, getting charged every month. I called 25cents a minute to be told I have to come in for cancellation. Told the story, nothing. Messaged PF main FB page but told me they can’t help. I go back to PF today, treated like I’m the bad guy? I wanted proof you canceled this time around. PF has show itself to not be a company of its word. I’m the bad guy? No “dang sorry to hear that?”, no “dang man, let’s fix this”. Just employed looking at each other trying to let the Manager hide. Where is the manager? That is serious amount of money and I am not even bringing that up. I want them to no there is a problem. * Please note I did not ask for money or anything but cancelation. This is newsworthy content for the community to know. I want to share my review and my situation. I just wanted cancelation. Also, teach employees how to respond, especially when the person has had a corporate entity come in his pocket every month and take his HARD EARNED MONEY

Nice gym with more equipment than most other gyms I've visited. However I gave 4 stares cause the staff locked the front doors of guest visiting at 6 :30p on Saturday for entry only exiting was fine. I didn’t affect me but I felt sorry for the people trying to get a quick 30 minute quickie. Also they turned the tv off at 6:45p promptly. It only takes a minute to cut the tv off that doesn’t make anyone leave out any faster. Other than the gym was clean and the staff helped me out.

Everything is fine here (clean, machines working etc) except BE CAREFUL IN THE CIRCUIT/30 min workout room. People don't follow the circuit which is fine, but I was up, 8 had to instead wait while my heart rate lowered because most of the people don't want to move-- they want to sit and text and do multiple reps, and when I asked again, 2 guys and 1 girl gave either ignored me, refused to move on, or gave me death stares. The unreal entitlement, and... being patient & kind doesn't help. I HAD TO ASK THE STAFF TO ESCORT ME in order to finish my workout. It was scary.

I used to go to the LA Fitness around here before it closed down and was hesitant to go to a Planet Fitness, but I have yet to regret my membership in this place. Friendly employees with a clean and friendly environment. I definitely plan to be working out here in the future!

I like it here generally. Early in the mornings though a lot of the paper towel dispensers will either be empty or will have paper in there that's stuck so u can't get any out at all. The heavier white long haired guy here in the morning rarely checks them. This is just a problem for me because I sweat profusely so I need them. The guy seems to hate being here in which case he probably just shouldn't then. Seems lazy overall. He's just stands there doing nothing. Is it really that hard to go around real quick and check if the paper towels are in stock/accessible?? I'm not the only one, I see many people having to walk across the gym to another dispenser to get towels out of that one. It's an inconvenience and interrupts our workouts. Besides him tho everyone else that works here is great.

This place allows there women staff to enter the men locker room with no forewarning! I came in the men locker rooms to use the restroom, a lady worker was standing were I needed to use it. I ask her if she would kindly leave until I finessed in the restroom, she said no. Then she said I’m not looking go ahead. I was flabbergasted!

I went too the front desk to report this to the front desk manager and he said it’s allowed. It’s her job to clean the restrooms. I explained to him that I was asking her to leave so I could use the restroom. He said to me that she did not have to leave, and at this point I could not believe what I was hearing and terminated my (HOME CLUB) membership with that club immediately! When I ask other men members about the situation, the said it’s been going on for quite some time, and they couldn’t believe they allowed this type of unacceptable behavior. Now if I so happen to stop at this Planet Fitness (Because I’m a black card member) located at 7929 Indianapolis Blvd, Hammond, IN 46324, I use the restroom at the department store next door.

This lady may have her cell phone. It’s quite possible she could be taking pictures of men in the locker room. The last time I saw her in there it was men showering. I stood outside the locker room facility and she was in there for a very long time. Absolutely disgusting!!!

I explained this to my new home Planet fitness manager and staff and they said they couldn’t believe it. Totally Unacceptable!!!!!

The regular day staff is awesome very mature and engage with customers they provide a feeling of warmth.Jeremy and his team are hard working! Please continue to enforce the dressing code ; do a walk down as you do its helping.I work out mostly M- F and I love working out here! I love that there a lot of students from PU just minding their business and doing team stuff! Thank you for knowing us and for that awesome smile and greetings when customers walk in!

It's a really good gym with really good staff, on the weekdays. For some reason the weekend staff don't know how to say hello when you tell them hello. Nor do they go out of their way to greet you. You also get ignored by them because they are chatting amongst themselves, talking to other patrons, or not even in front. I should feel welcomed every day I arrive not just the weekdays.
