PF has always been great about updating and buying new equipment. Very clean club with friendly staff. I have the advantage of going during the day. Lots of equipment and no wait during the week. Nice combination of free weights and machines. As I get older, I prefer the machines to limit injury.

I went to this PF because I was in the city for business. Extremely busy so some equipment was selective but I was able to use the total body and the amazing employee walked me through on how to use it. I hate that I didn’t get her name to give her credit for going above since they were so busy.

Although I've visited this location on and off for the past few years and find it to be one of the better PF's in Indy, I've stopped going due to ongoing concerns about the unwillingness of the manager to enforce the gym's rules, especially this summer when teens were able to take advantage of the club's free membership. I repeatedly witnessed young visitors loudly abusing the weight machines and ignoring the gym's requirement to wipe down the equipment before and after using.

I'm not sure why the management refused to address this with the customers, but I found it extremely upsetting that the gym that supposedly prohibited "lunkheads" actually ignored them when they showed up and proved to be a huge nuisance. Also, having contracted COVID, the flu, and the Norovirus this past year, the lack of concern for the potential spread of communicable illnesses alarmed me.

There were also ongoing issues with MANY of the cardio machines that weren't able to connect their audio receivers to the large screen televisions, So, you could watch the news (or programs) but not hear many of them. Also, many of these machines could not monitor necessary things like heart rate. Despite raising this issue many times over the last year, nothing but endless excuses were offered. Despite the machines being checked and maintained regularly, these issues continued, and no guarantees were ever given that they'd be fixed.

In addition to all this, this gym has had a hard time keeping trainers on staff, something that's supposed to be included with the PF membership. One trainer (who was lackluster in the first place) recently left. And the trainer that they currently have will soon be leaving too. No real plan is in place to ensure that this location will have a trainer. It could be many months before that job is filled. In the recent past, though, they've gone a few years without a trainer. That's not acceptable if you're paying for a trainer to be there.

This PF is by far the nicest one on the Southside of Indy. They have plenty of equipment, it's spacious and very clean. The staff is friendly and make you feel super comfortable. I was very scared the day that I joined (I never thought I'd be someone who'd go to a gym), but in no time, I felt like I really belonged. I've been going now for 10 months and finally decided to branch out and try the 24/7 PF in Greenwood. That was a mistake. Greenwood location is pretty small, everything is crammed together and there's not a large selection of equipment. They keep the lights pretty dim as well. The overall vibe just wasn't good. I really wish this location on Thompson Rd. was open 24/7. Hopefully one day it will be because I love to go early when its not as busy. It definitely is my "home" gym though and I plan to continue my fitness journey here. Also, the cool temperature on the weights side and warmer temperature on the cardo side is absolutely perfect. 😁

I'm at this gym almost every day lately doing rehab and strength exercises. Alex and his crew do a great job helping customers and keeping the place very clean. I see them helping each other even when not on clock with customer issues. Hope upper mgmt takes care of this group so they don't lose them to other companies that would love employees like them.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness since 2012 and appreciate the cleanliness and hospitality provided by the staff members and their manager. The equipment is well maintained with plenty of workout options. In addition, I enjoy the tanning facilities and locker accommodations. I recommend the Beech Grove Planet Fitness to anyone looking for a neighborhood gym.

Great place to workout. Welcoming environment. Won't have to wait on nothing. No free weights, but more than enough of weight machines and cardio machines. This location has medicine balls, a battle rope, and kettlebells up to 30 lbs. More than enough locker space. And, the whole facility is always clean. Very reasonably priced memberships. Although no free weights, I still give it 5 stars!

I always enjoy coming to this PF. Compared to the gym next door, it’s way less busy with a majority of the same equipment for a cheaper price. The staff here is ALWAYS cleaning and are always super friendly. The locker rooms/bathrooms are clean, and they ACTUALLY clean them every day. The manager does a great job at making sure that everything within the facilities is working smoothly. Sammy does a great job at keeping the drink fridge looking aesthetic which is just a little thing that bumps up the vibe compared to other PFs. I’ve tried at least 10 other PFs in the city, and this is by far the best one. I highly recommend!

This has been my gym for 4 or 5 years now. They have a decent amount of equipment, large cardio section, and just added new equipment that I think a lot of people are happy to see there. The staff is usually pretty friendly, though I hardly interact with anyone. The bathrooms could stand to be monitored more closely for cleanliness on busy days, but that's always an issue with public restrooms. I would also say they usually fix equipment fairly quickly if it breaks. You hardly see things down for longer than a few days to a week before it gets fixed. Solid public gym and affordable.

I really like it here but the last 2 days the guy that is new blasts the music so loud you cant hear. I asked him the first day to turn it down and he did not. I have my ear buds on and still can hear it drowning out my music, not enjoyable. Not everyone enjoys loud music at 5am.

I joined Planet Fitness after years of frustration with another local gym being too busy to even find parking, let alone the equipment ! I have LOVED Planet Fitness! The front desk staff are super friendly and I appreciate them setting the tone from the moment I walk in.
Even on a busy day, there is enough cardio equipment I never have to wait for my favorite elliptical machine and I LOVE that.
There is an awesome 30 minute circuit area for strength training as well as a full room of weights. There are PLENTY of disinfectant stations for cleaning off the machines and I love that. I have used the cryotherapy massage chairs as well as the hydrochairs after the workout and they are AMAZING! This is definitely a judgement free gym, free of grunting and throwing down of weights. I usually run into friends at this location and I enjoy that very much. My teens love the free summer membership and I appreciate that being offered. Run, don't walk, and sign up today ! The only thing you have to lose is WEIGHT!!!!

The employees at around 8pm-12am are the best. Me and my best friend come every night after I get off of work to tan and the man at the counter has got us down to just handing us our door numbers when we walk in, he knows we want the affinity for the full time. Never had a bad experience
