I signed up for the summer program, and after it ended, I noticed that I continued to be charged monthly despite canceling my membership. I contacted the manager, who confirmed that the cancellation had been processed, yet I am still being billed.

The manager then advised me to reach out to the district manager. However, I don’t believe I should have to escalate this issue further simply to cancel my membership and receive a refund for the unauthorized charges.

I would appreciate it if you could resolve this matter promptly and confirm the cancellation, as well as issue a refund for any charges made after my initial cancellation.

Staff here are friendly and accommodating.
Maintenance is so poor, however, that I strongly recommend that new and current customers consider other locations for membership.

For example, a recent major AC problem had water literally raining down from a large overhead unit, making a large puddle on the floor and equipment. I thought it had been repaired, but it was merely turned off. The club was so stuffy tonight (6/30/25) that staff tried to improve air circulation by propping open the interior set of entry doors. This is a pattern not an isolated incident. From broken equipment to non-functional urinals and sinks to dead batteries in most tv remotes, maintenance here is clearly not even of secondary importance. You almost have to see how other PF locations are to see how slipshod this one has become.

The gym is nice, however don't hold your breathe on getting a hot shower. The water heater has been down for a while and the manager knows about it.
But if all you need is access to equipment and to excercise it's nice. Never had issues with the equipment or the people. Tons of regulars in the morning if you want to see the same faces.

I used to give this gym a five-star review but not anymore. I have been a regular for years and I have to say things have gone downhill. From my own personal experience, here are my issues: The locker rooms aren't near as clean as they used to be. The inside of some of the lockers have hair and other debris and there has been trash and abandoned belongings left in them for months. A few are clean bc I've had to clean a few out to house my stuff. The other huge thing is that hardly any of the tvs work on the cardio machines. It's almost impossible to find a treadmill that works itself and has a working tv and remote. The elliptical and bikes are like that too. There's a few that work but not many.
Please fix this stuff.

This gym has basically everything you need to get fit - plenty of cardio machines, free weights etc. Great staff, and this gym is cleaner than most Planet Fitnesses that I've been to.

I love the No Judgment atmosphere, but If I had one negative comment to make it would be this: The equipment-sitters are in abundance here! They'll sit on equipment staring at their phones as if it's made for lounging. I was in the other day and I watched a guy sit on the crunch machine for over an hour, doing a crunch or two every ten minutes or so. Maybe a couple signs asking people not to sit on equipment for extended periods if they're not using it?

Just started here few months ago. Not crowded most of the times I go. People are friendly and keep to themselves. Could probably lose some of the treadmills and replace with more weight machines but overall one of the best kept secrets in the Indy area.

Management was not available. A staff member said "he stepped out" Had me wait for 30 mins when I finally went back up to ask where the manager was and she called the manager and asked if he had seen her message that I was waiting up there to speak to him, and he had her tell me to come back at another time or he would contact me on Monday. This was a Friday afternoon around 3pm. When I asked for the owners contact or district contact she stated she didn't have any of that information to give to me.

I love coming here because it’s pretty convenient. The staff is friendly and it’s nice to see the same people there all the time. I would love to see more updated equipment though. I’ve seen other Planet Fitness’s upgrade their equipment and I’d like to see ours do the same. I’d just hate to switch to another gym when the equipment no longer meets my needs.

While me and my friend were working out we were interrupted to say we were being loud. We were indeed not loud but grunting from our workout . UPDATE!!

Sadly this location has been in decline for months. I think it’s safe to say that PF has en extremely high employee rate but the last two staffs or so (since about middle of 2023) have not been trained properly. They greet on occasion and that’s fine but most of the time members are ignored and it’s not easy getting their attention when needed. The real issue I have is that this place has become filthy. I never see cleaning and I come at various times. Used to be that a staff member was cleaning constantly now it’s never.

The floors are covered in dirt, dust and residue, machines are disgusting and bathrooms are even worse. There has been a bloody mark in the women’s large stall on the floor for a week now so you know it’s not getting cleaned properly.

I hate to leave a negative review but here’s to hoping corporate will make a change. If not soon I’ll be finding a new gym location and it won’t be a PF anymore.

I’ve been using this location for 4 years now and it’s always been a nice location. Typical staff turnover for a pf but they’re usually kind and helpful. Clean for the most part but not obsessively like others planet fitness locations I’ve gone to previously. Equipment is nice and they have a decent variety. Overall it’s a good gym.

Terrible guest we got an account there last month first time we used it it was dirty people were very aggressive. The only time we went in there was then we never went back tried to cancel it while we're out of town for a funeral and then you say you have to hand deliver a written notice to the store to cancel your subscription. So I wait until I get home go in and do this and now they're saying that I have to pay for another month but I can use the gym if I want which has never been used by US once we were literally there for 10 minutes the first time and left because the machines were dirty and people were very aggressive. If you're looking for a nice place to work out try somewhere else it may cost a little more but at least you'll feel safe.

The rules are different depending on who's working. They don't follow policies with everyone and the customer service is the worst out of any gym I've been to. Don't waste your time and or money. This is not a judgment free zone at all. This one one the eastside of indianapolis the restrooms smells like sewage and urine while the employees laugh and stay on their phones. Get fit, LA fitness, and the Ymca will be better choices for u. The equipment will work and the customer service will be way better trust me!!!! Take our time and reach out to management and the both times I ad an issue there was no manager or supervisor avaliable...Your a joke with theses automated response 🤔

This place is dirty! I was only in the tanning area so I can't imagine how dirty the work out machines are. Tanning beds only get cleaned on the part you lay on by the customer so you probably should clean before you climb in. The floors apparently don't get swept and cleaned very often felt like tanning loation on the tile. Clean this place!

The gym is good. The prices for the memberships and the black card are good, but still making Automatic transactions. Is something I do not like I still get charged even when I cancel my membership even if it’s canceled on a certain day your card still gets swipe even if you’re still not going to the gym but you still have the membership which I don’t like that. My club is the best club! Everytime I come in no matter the time I’m greeted with verbal and / non verbal communication. Depends if they see if I have ear buds or not. The club is ALWAYS clean and the manager guys make sure of it. You never see the employees do the heavy cleaning, just the tidying up. The manager lifts and rocks the machines and the other one mops under them. The soap dispensers are always full, the water is how and has a good flow. It doesn’t spray everywhere. I do wish they had paper towels in the restroom but understand why. I like that the restroom has more than one trash available, especially for ladies. When the club had to close, the communication was timely and specific. I’ve been coming pretty consistently for about a year and this hasn’t changed. Whether I came at 5am, noon or 5pm. I frequent W 86th club when I’m at work and theirs is the COMPLETE opposite of mine…not in a good way. Makes me appreciate mine even more.

This is my second time at this gym, first time no issues, 2nd time they tell me my account was red flagged, then asked do I live in the area, also mentioned this in front of my guest nothing was private I felt like they were invading in my personal life which made me feel uncomfortable.. the vibe seemed weird after I asked why do they need to know that personal info. But after I said that, they just kinda brushed me off with smiles. I did not like the way I was approached. It seemed like a 3 on 1 attack initially

The PF receptionist was phenomenal today( 3-30-23). Here I am, at another location and he took time to help another out of state, PF staff, with adding me into their system. Since I have the extra amenities packaged membership.

If corporate is looking over this review. I would give this individual a raise. He definitely deserves it. When I tell you he took time to figure out the solution to the problem. I mean he literally stayed on the phone and directed throughly with the out of state PF staff member on navigating through the system, in order to access my membership.

Been a member off and on over the years since they first opened this location. Cancelling my membership this time due to lack of security. Had my lock broken off of my locker and money stolen from my wallet. Spoke with other members who recently had their lockers broken into as well. All staff does is fill out a complaint report and say they're sorry. If crimes are happening regularly here I think more should be done.
