I enjoy this gym a lot. Once I can pay for the months that I'm behind, I will be so excited to come back to enjoy the workout atmosphere.
The staff are like family members, and the gym is like a normal gym environment, with the best time to go being morning time, because at night it gets too crowded, and then you may not like a whole concert there while you are working on your body!
The cool thing about Planet Fitness is that they have so many different workout options😚

Love the new make over. Hate the fact that it seems like there is just one person that works that works there. So there is never anyone there at the front desk when you need them. Especially for the black card holders who want to use the massage beds. This is the second time ivw been there and had to wait for someone to appear. There are also huge pot holes trying to get to the gym and one big one in the parking lot. I wish they would fill those pot holes they are huge and deep.

The equipment is nice and the staff is friendly. The other people in the gym seemed to keep to themselves and everyone did their own thing. The workout was great.

My only complaint is that the male shower was pretty gross. I worked out pretty early (6am) so I don't think it was just leftover from the person before me. The shower just looked like it hadn't had a real cleaning in a while. Around the edge, there was grime built up and it didn't look like the floor mat had been moved to clean underneath it.

I don't believe in giving 1-star reviews for things like this that could be fixed easily, but I would hope some extra attention will be given to the showers going forward. The rest of the locker room was great.

Mr. Leo, thank you!!! I go to gym 6 days out of week and when I’m there I see Mr. Leo deep cleaning, making sure paper towel and spray filled. If he not working on keeping the gym clean and stocked you can find him greeting each member near the door. It’s so welcoming and I appreciate how respectful he is and he remember so many people not just me. You can feel the love he has for the company and the people. When Mr. Leo off/not there you can feel and see the difference. Thank you Mr. Leo for being you and so many of us regularly visit members appreciate you for your hard work and your welcoming even though you see us almost daily. I highly recommend this location to anyone/everyone.

(MY WIFE CANCELLED IN PERSON) They responded saying they need a signature. Tito the assistant manager is dishonest. They make you go in to cancel the membership. My wife drug her pregnant behind into the gym in September to cancel, because they refused to cancel over the phone. She just realized that they were still charging her. That’s an extra $75 they charged her after she canceled. When she called, Tito realized a mistake had been made and canceled, over the phone (but they always say they are unable to cancel over the phone), immediately but said if she wanted a refund she would have to bring in the form from cancellation in the store. He wouldn’t have canceled over the phone unless he realized that a mistake was made but he was unwilling to do the work to fix the mistake and putting it all on my wife to find a piece of paper from 3+ months ago. I would bet money they do it on purpose to get free money from people hoping they won’t want to come in

**UPDATE*** Madison BREACHED MY CONTRACT AND (I have audio recording of both conversations oh and she hung up on me as well) cancelled my membership WITHOUT my signature and after I verbally told her I was not cancelling but going to a different location. (She wanted me to pay $10 late fee but the amounts didnt match upto what was in my app). I also tried to tell her that I have a contract with 10th street butshe has no desire to LISTEN AND RESOLVE. A location I did not feel decisions were made based on my color. She also called the police on me because I returned to gym after calling 10th street location to discover my acct was inactive(due to Madison). I asked for a copy of cancellation form and she refused and also sent police and lied stating I refused to leave. (I spoke with officer as well and she told me to call corporate) I literally said I wanted a copy and I'd leave. I guess the "Black woman being irate to the White woman"playbook was her aim as she has treated me as a hostile before. I kept my composure. I have reached out via email and tried to contact corporate & ABC Billing of this breach of contract & ridiculous charges with no response. Next step is an attorney. They also have been charging me miscellaneous late fees / double charges AND I had 2 active contracts with 2 different locations. WHO OWNS THIS GYM??? YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME ASAP. As most of these locations are franchised. If you have experienced this type of treatment from Madison or the location, please reach out!

The gym is less clean and the hours seem to change every other week. The current staff is friendly. They also at least added hangers in the women's locker rooms as well. The gym is just in bad maintenance, some parts of floor have air bubbles, and equipment needs to be replaced. Only reason I have kept membership because I am able to go to any location (which is unfortunately ALWAYS out of my way) I guess the "urban"areas get the least quality and concern because I've been to other locations in the city and they were like night and day!

I called this morning. The person who answered the phone didn’t want to schedule me with trainer over phone. He said I needed to go on app. I assured him that I had spoke to someone and my app is messed up and they told me that I can call to schedule. Then to make matters worse you keep charging my charge not just one all of them. Then to proceed to tell customers we have to pay a balance before you close the account WHAT CONTRACT did I sign up for. Why aren’t you telling ppl this information. Easily the worst one to go to in Indianapolis. It’s so hot and muggy because the thermostat is kept at 73. The people here are rude and will insist that you give up your machine so they can use it. Most don’t wipe down the machine after they’re finished using it. Go to any other Planet Fitness and you will have a different experience.

Well, I have been to hundreds of Planet fitness gyms across the USA and been to Planet fitness gyms in Mexico. I hate to say this but this Planet fitness gym ranks in my top 4 worst & dirty Planet gyms that I have worked out in. It is crazy because they have a lot of new gym equipment and it is very spacious and air conditioned. However, the floors of the entire gym area has paper all over it and the Men locker room was the same and the showers (dirty) and the trash bin overflowing. I saw a male employee literally walked in the men's locker room while I was shaving ,.4 times to the back room and didn't hesitated to clean up the men's locker room or toilet areas. This was at 8:20am this morning. I finished working out at 10:15am and the men locker room was the same and the gym floor. There was only one person putting the weights away and trying to clean up the gym area and it was a Personal Trainer. All the other regular Planet fitness employees were MIA. Yes, this place is lacking cleaning. This falls on the Manager and needs to re-train the employees or rehire new employees and needs to set up micro management techniques on the employees because the current management style is definitely not working at this Planet fitness gym. But, the gym is new and it can be an excellent gym. I hope you heard me...from a former retired Combat Infantry (Ranger) Officer. I didn't want to post pictures because the previous pictures that you see on these reviews are really accurate. No more outside Men's bathroom on August 20th. I really wanted to speak to the Manager but it seems to be me...with all these negative reviews...it has fallen on deaf ears and nothing has been done about it. It is a shame.

The men's locker room has been out of service for many weeks because it is being used for women. The women's locker room is under construction and men are forced to use Porta-potty outside the building, which is also not very clean and the cold temperature outside.
Honestly, I wouldn't advise even my male enemy to enroll in this gym until the construction works are completely over and the two lockers rooms are fully operational.

Good afternoon. My experience at the headquarters 5206 W 38 St Indianapolis IN 46254 planet fitness, has been unpleasant, on 09/25/2023 at around 4pm I arrived at the gym asking for help from the lady who was in customer service at the reception of the premises , to change my membership and become a black card user. this in order to take my son to the gym as a guest. It was supposed to be a pleasant experience, since it is the first time my son went to a gym, but it was quite the opposite. The lady who was in customer service did not pay attention to us and was also in a bad mood and addressing us with a bad attitude, it took us almost 1 hour to make the change in the membership because the lady in question ignored us (everything is recorded on camera ) When I was finally able to register my son as a guest, the lady was upset because I told her that this was the help I was asking for. I suggested that if she didn't like her job, she could leave it. The lady immediately told me that she wanted me to I left the premises and he refused me because I am a planet fitness customer and pay to use the facility. The lady in question called the police, claiming that Planet Fitness is a private property and she is in charge of that property and she does not want me to be there, just like that, the police showed up at the site and asked me in front of my son and all the people who were in the place, that I must vacate the facility since it is private property. I tried to explain what happened to the police and even though they agreed with me, they couldn't do anything other than ask me to vacate the place "because it is private property" and she is in charge. I told them that I agreed, but that I wanted a refund of my membership since it seems unfair to me that Planet Fitness charges me a monthly fee to use the facility and then they do not allow me entry to the premises, the police spoke with the lady from customer service telling her to talk to her supervisor since I was right, and the lady responds that there is no supervisor, that she is the only one in charge and she doesn't want me to be there. All this was happening under the eyes of my little son who was scared and the rest of the people who occupied the gym. Finally I had to leave there, no one is responsible for the money that Planet Fitness still charges me every month and I can't use the facility, my son is afraid to go back there... otherwise it happened to me at VASA FITNESS GYM, and in L.A. Fitness GYM where they treated me very cordially, with respect and even gave me a tour inside the place to show me all the services they offer.

Okay, I hate to do this. I'm really sorry to do this, but I've been to Planet Fitness locations all over the country, and this is BY FAR the grossest, nastiest, dirty, I'm surprised I didn't see a roach, I don't even wanna touch anything, moldy, unkept Planet Fitness I've ever witnessed. I wasn't greeted when I walked in. I used the bathroom first. Trash was pouring out of the bin. Lockers were a mess (and also see through, so zero privacy). There was trash all over the bathroom floors. Cleaning supplies were left out in the bathroom too (obviously not being used). Supply closet doors were open and everything was thrown around and laying on the floor. The sinks were filthy and a soap dispenser was broken. The showers were covered in mold and smelled like 3 day old musty pee. The water fountain was moldy and had white residue covering the ENTIRE thing. I didn't feel comfortable touching anything so I had to buy water.

Overall I'm satisfied with this PF. I know it can get busy and difficult to keep clean. I think the staff does a good job in that regard on the interior. However, the exterior is filthy. The parking lot is NEVER clean and presents a very poor image of your brand. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. Please clean your lot on a regular basis.

The is good for working out, if you can get pass the people mainly hanging out here to get dates because they are just hanging around and not working out much. Women come in barely wearing any clothes and the men so distracted they don't work out. So for a woman coming in the gym it's hard to work out without men starting at you. Also if you try to cancel your membership here, it's next to impossible. When you sign up for the gym, you can sign up online. When you cancel you have to send them a letter. I sent an email in December asking to cancel my membership but instead I was charged twice in December and then two weeks later again. I wrote to them again in January asking them to cancel my account. There seems to be a break down somewhere because I'm not the only one who has had issues cancelling my gym membership.

Exceptional workout equipment, new, powerful yet easy to use. Great northwest Indy location centrally between I-465 and I-65. The staff is polite. The downside to this location is women’s bathroom- lots of dust and filthy toilets. I have been to location many of times and one bothersome thing remains- those nasty toilets.

They don't have any trainer or management. But the receptionist is a nice helpful young man, the place seems clean and compared to other PF units it has a decent size.
If you are thinking of become a member please choose a different unit where you can find a actual help with a trainer and of course a place with a manager.

People be careful. I visited November 15 for a fun workout and then sombody broke my car's window and stole my wallet. I ask to move my membership to another gym or get a refund and had no answer.

They are awful and the customer service is terrible. I needed assistance with my account and tried talking with the employees, and later the manager,but they couldn’t fix a thing.

The male bathrooms are disgusting and looked like they are cleaned once a week.

I started at this location. People are friendly. Like the new equipment. Only thing is bathroom always one toilet broke or no toilet paper . Love the hydro and message chairs. Always free space to use equipment when I go.

Love planet fitness just wish they had 5-6 smith machines because I’m tired of women doing hip-thrust for 30min to an hour long. Other than that it’s clean, not really overly populated…… oh yea need dumbbells that go to to 100-120lbs and more 45lbs plates for smith machines and hammer leg press. Please and thank you!!
