When I started going last year, the two morning guys (4 am) were always nice and said good morning. I often saw them cleaning and keeping cleaning stations ready. It was the same two guys every morning. I guess they got tired of it bc I haven’t seen them for a month or more And now the people at the front desk totally ignore ppl coming and going. Except for one young man I see on the weekends but that Checks out bc I know the two original guys trained him. But anyway, the reason I even wanted to leave a review is because the water machine is always broken And I finally recently called to complain, and they told me that the water bottles are free when the water machine is broken. Why don’t you have a sign up? Or tell the employees to inform people as they come in. The amount of times I have been in there for two hours thirsty because the water machine was broken and no one tells anybody that the bottles are free is stupid.

It’s gotten a bit better since the remodel last month but this location is crazy crowded. The crowd meter on the app is so busted, showing 2 or 3 bars out of 10 when there isn’t a spare meter of space in the gym. There needs to be a new location in the knobs to take weight off of this location.

If I could give zero stars for this location, I would. I have my membership almost exclusively for the showers and hydromassage. I have no hot water at home for the foreseeable future.

The showers at this location have terrible water pressure, and if someone flushed a toilet in the building, the water stopped entirely! Plus, the water didn't even stay hot long enough to rinse out my hair or off my body. If I wanted a cold shower, I would have taken a shower at home. I barely even feel clean after a cold shower. And don't get me started on the junky shower heads that are very difficult to adjust.

Very nice and clean Planet Fitness. Just recently joined this location and it’s not like the one I used to go to but it’s definitely still nice. The employees are kinda, and helpful, and do their job right. It’s spacious enough and has plenty of equipment to use. The big guy in there the Manager with the short beard, is super unfriendly and never helpful. Same thing with the new cleaner with the dark hair down to her shoulders. Employee Alex, made a prejudice discriminatory comment towards my gay friend. First Alex misgendered my friend and once he realized she was a female (born female fyi) he said “oh you are one of those”.

The company has made no apology nor have they disciplined said employee. In fact my friend continues to be treated with malice. This all bc my friend inquired about charges on their bank account and wanted to cancel.

I’ve been trying to dispute charges from this facility for almost 2 yrs or so. I finally went in person to the location, told them that I needed to cancel my membership that I never signed up for, I’m a member at the Jeffersonville location. Alex, the manager, proceeded to tell me with his condescending smile and voice, that the good thing w Planet Fitness is you can go to any location blah blah blah. I told Alex not to talk to me like I’m illiterate, I’ve had gym memberships w other big chain gyms, and never have I been charged for 2 accounts, just get my membership canceled and the info my bank needs to dispute these charges. Then Alex tells me to leave his gym, and I refused to leave until I got the info I needed. He then called the cops, told them he “thinks” I’m a male. I proceeded to tell Alex I was a female, have been my whole life since 1988, that I’m a lesbian. He then said, oh you’re one of those. Ummmmm I’m not one to get upset w being called a male when someone doesn’t know, I look like one, I have a deeper voice, I get that, but what you’re not going to do Alex, is call me one of those, like I’m less of a human. Also, this establishment has told me multiple times I have to come in person to cancel, but somehow Alex took it upon himself to cancel my mothers account, without me giving him her name or anything, or even talking to her personally, she never stepped foot in the building, all because I told him she was on her way to do so. So for over a year I’ve been told come in person, but you can cancel someone else’s account because I told you they wanted to?!? This chain and Alex are a joke, do better, learn to do your job correctly!

The facilities are very nice. There is one lady there with short blond hair that keeps things clean. She is the only one that I have seen that works. The cell phone use by members is out of control. It’s hard to get on the equipment that you want due to people setting there on their phones. This should be monitored and forbidden. If you want to text or look at your phone use the tables up front or go home.

As much as I do love coming to this PF, the downfall is they no longer have the ARC Machine. That machine helped so much with me having bad knees. And even though I could drive 15-20min further to possibly use it at another location. It isn’t ideal since I currently live in corydon and already drive 35min. Please, please bring back the ARC Machine!! There is more than enough ehlipticals that aren’t being used, please consider trading some out for the ARC.
Otherwise, the atmosphere, cleanliness and customer service is great.

I have talked to both employees and management. I have been told that it’s not up to them to switch out machines. This is up to PF Corp. I just dislike that all PFs are different with different machines.

First off, the manager and her employee get 5 stars for being calm, collective, and professional during my encounter.

I cancelled my membership roughly 7-9 months ago and did not realized I was still being charged, given the amount. Once, I noticed, I called and asked for the document be sent to my email so I could sign again, scan back, and move on but Planet Fitness requires in person or by mail (even though I can get a subscription online). So, I went in person to sign, verified my email was correct, and still didn't receive the cancellation, so the manager kindly printed the document for my records.

Beware of Planet Fitness's practices, by making sure they do not notify you that your payment went through on a month to month basis even if you haven't been there in months and making it difficult to cancel (with no other options) so they can gain a buck legally while people are trying to enrich their lives. Luckily, the FTC is working on banning these practices so consumers can easily cancel a subscription. (Search FTC "click to cancel")

Unfortunate that I can’t give this place 1 star. I will never again be giving my money to this establishment or any franchise. They are greedy and are so stingingly holding on to a $50 annual membership fee when I haven’t stepped foot inside the place in over 7 months because I have birth to my first child. Can’t get ahold from anyone from corporate. They tell you to contact your local franchise’s management. The GM, Alex, at Grant Line had zero sympathy and wouldn’t give me the information of the franchise owner. My request for refund was denied because of course I signed some tiny microscopic fine print.

What has our world come to when a large corporation is tightly gripping my $50 that I need to use for diapers and wipes this week for my infant? It’s truly very sad. What happened to empathy and ethical business practices? People can’t wait to screw anyone over these days to make a quick buck.

Save your time and don’t step foot inside this place or support the greedy people that run it.

I thought planet fitness on Westport rd was hot, but Grant line road gets the trophy. It was so hot I would advise anyone with a Heart condition, menopause, or high blood pressure to not workout here. The windows were all steamed up with outside temps at 30. I ran under the fan and couldn’t finish my workout. The front desk was not approachable as their friends were hanging out around the desk. The gym to lift weights is nice. More room than most PF. Also a large tanning and massage area that is more private than other PF. If the temp was appropriate… it would be a higher rating. As far as front desk… it’s easy to check yourself in.

Great gym. Has everything you need realistically to start off your journey to better yourself. Many machines to assist you. Cardio is something you won't have a problem doing if that's what you like. CrossFit friendly with a jungle gym area. Weights are fantastic. Clean, together and many options to target specific muscle groups. If your a very strong guy I will say this ain't for you. The dumbbells cap off at 75lbs and only smith machines. If you came you'll be doing high volume everything lol. But youd have fun. Not to mention the black card perks that make it better. Main thing for me getting it was the unlimited guess pass and hydromassage

I just need everyone to know... this is THE MOST UNWELCOMING location I've EVER been too! Do not recommend!!! This is now 4 times being confronted in less than two weeks!!! We have had multiple other instances since trying it out over the last two months including having the cops called on us. My partner works less than a mile down the street and this was supposed to be a safe place to work out and shower.

They are clearly not trained in how to even PRETEND to be an ally! Please be safe here my friends, we don't feel that way.

Normally Planet Fitness is dope. They are really friendly and usually very safe space for their customers, it's their motto: no judgement.

But this location is not trans friendly. I have been confronted 4 times in 2 weeks. And both my partner and I have explained things multiple times that I'm trans. But I literally got hunted for on two occasions while I was trying to go pee. If my partner wasn't there to defend me, I'm genuinely too afraid to consider what may have happened.

Most PFs are really accepting, and at most need a one time refresher that trans people exist and that I'm simply one of them. I cannot recommend the ones in Louisville on Outer Loop or Hurstbourne enough - amazing staff and personable not just friendly (they remember who I am and we have had conversations that extend past one meeting, above and beyond to make someone feel like they are welcomed)

I don't really want to keep this review here, I severely hope that someone at this location that is in charge will see this and please finally train your staff (all of them not just the one or two you hear about) that people come in all flavors and it's best to ask questions first and from a place of understanding, not from a place of accusation ("Is there a Man in here?" "I'm looking for a man we saw come in here" "hey man you gotta use the other bathroom" are not super great ways to get me to explain myself as I'm frankly already terrified of how wrong you have it.) Please change so I can delete this and I can go back to confidently saying "Planet Fitness is one of my safe spaces and I feel like I'm home when I am there." And mean it.

Planet Fitness doesn't like babies or moms apparently. We've went to this gym for years, and we asked ahead of time if we could bring our baby in the stroller (7months), they gave us permission. We came to the gym a total of 5-10 times with the baby and no issues. Then one day they told us we had to leave.

There are so many mom's out there trying to get their lives back in order and their bodies back after having a baby, and it takes real dedication to even bring your baby in there for a work out, and they don't want you and your baby there.
Screw them, they don't want my baby, they can't have my money any more. Happy mother's day to me....I'll lose the weight without them.

Response: They weren't disheartened to see me go...lol and your entire staff should know that's your policy, so they don't give out the wrong information and cause me and my family the embarrassment of being walked out when we asked for permission.
