When I went to scan in me and my friend. The assistant manager said that I could not bring my friend because we were both underage. I get the reason that he denied us access but we have never had this problem before and when I was trying to explain that to him he had a rude tone and would not let me explain why I thought I was aloud to bring him. This was a mager inconvenience and a huge waste of my time. I should have goten the name of the man but he was being very rude and I didn't want to have to deal with him. He should seriously be talked with by the owner so something like this won't happen again.

Reviewing 6 months after my first initial post to just reiterate how great of a job they're doing! Special shout out to Elquebi for always making me laugh and be warm and engaging whenever I see him! He's shown me extra exercises on the app I didn't even know were available to members. Nyah and Maddie have to be two of the sweetest people I've ever met! Extremely friendly and sweet! Nyah and Tessa in the morning are always cleaning! I constantly see them washing windows and mopping. I love that they all seem to care and are so friendly and provide a clean workout space! I go to the Ireland Road location multiple times a week, typically at night. There's two women, 3rd shift, who are typically there when I go & they provide excellent customer service. Real cool people, top tier service & hospitality (deserving of a raise if you ask me), I may leave two reviews so I can give 10 stars. Other than that, it's a clean environment. Very orderly. Best location in town, it's like the Catalina wine mixer compared to other locations in the vicinity. Appreciate you guys having the playoff games on too — I was able to watch my parlay hit in real time, as I was working out. Electrifying feeling.

on the inside this is a pretty nice planet fitness, however they never seem to shovel or plow their sidewalks and parking lot. even days after it’s snowed the sidewalk is still covered in snow and slush. so you have to walk in through the snow to the vestibule that’s got a soaking wet rug with water all around because everyone has been stepping in snow to come inside for days. (this was an issue last year as well, it’s very unfortunate that it’s still being overlooked)

i’m not typically someone who leaves reviews but i’ve reached out several times about the lack of shoveling and have not received any response.

I love this gym. The bathrooms and showers are clean. The customer service is amazing. One time a left my phone in the bathroom and forgot it. I was scared to the bottom of my heart. My phone has all my information. I just went to the front desk to pick it up. No one stoled my precious phone no damage was done just like new. The people in the gym are really nice no bad people in the gym. It's 100% safe environment. I like the new parking lot they just added. A lot more space to add cars. I give this gym a 5 out of 5.

I really love this place. All of the clientele are friendly and careful, as well as the staff. The monkey bars are really fun to play on. With enough practice, you can even wedge your feet in between the end of the monkey bars and the support beam and hang upside down.

It's right down the street from my parents' house, so I love that I can just walk or zip over there. There's usually always space for everyone in the back workout area for yoga, plyometrics, HIIT, acrobatics, and gymnastics.

I'm ever excited for future plans they have with the space.

Very clean, very busy which I understand with the Mishawaka location being remodeled. Even going at 4am it starts getting packed in there. I Understand the shower situation , but what I don't like is having to hang my bag outside of the shower to grab my items out of it, the shower curtain doesn't even cover the full area. You have to put your shoes, bag(will have your keys, cell and any other personal items for anyone to grab out of your site) on a hook outside of the shower. then once you shower you have to manage to wrap yourself in a towel and gather your belongings to walk across to a dressing area. in the mean time your feet are wet, your still dripping water creating a slip hazard. No type of mats down to prevent this. As soon are the Mishawaka location is back open , I will most likely only go to this location is I'm going home after the workout so I don't have to worry about the shower situation. Then moving on to the tanning bed , You sign up and the people working inform me there is only 2 beds (Ok I can wait no big deal) I put my name down only one person in front of me to go in and the beds are 10 mins and wait for 40 mins , go back up to ask how much longer and was told "oh my bad" I forgot you wanted to go in to a bed . UGH !!!

As expected, only 1 employee sitting up front doing nothing. Broken machines. Dust everywhere on machines, so my allergies were awful. The owner is renovating Mishawaka location, but the parking lot is still "under construction" at South Bend? And when I say under construction I mean there was an empty lot that no one was working on, that said under construction. At some point in time an altercation happened with the guy at the desk and a man. The man started yelling and freaking out, so that's comforting. Probably should have more than 1 person working. To at least clean. Or repair machines.

At the end of the visit when I wanted to go on the Hydra massage bed, I stood at the front desk for 20 minutes and there was nobody to be found. The man that is working night shift this evening, 7.08-7.09.24, is very rude and unqualified for such position.
Him not being at the door, then choosing to stand for minutes on end at the cold beverage refrigerator was not what set me off to review his behavior.
He sent me in to a machine that would not work and after refusing to answer the phone until the fifth call, he questioned my intelligence, as if I'd have just known that as I'd gone in.
After entering the room that quite a bit of negative tension and acts had brought to result of my report, I was threatened for my unconscious attitude of concern by his saying that he "will just not turn the machine on," sending me out after my spending twenty useless and unnecessary minutes in there, for nothing but an attitude.
After being sent away with nothing, I've come to a stay of an hour that was of no need for more than eleven minutes.
Going back in to an expected no one at this hour, waited for a couple minutes, called, and on the second call was answered by, "Hello."
The "hello" was followed in his scolding me for his mistake in service/employment, and I'm not going to hide that I was second guessing the keeping of my membership.
If a majority of the others were not compassionate, sweet, and good at their job, I'd have called it off here.
This man is of NO effect to a good employee of position to interaction with people, especially such a gym.

Two part bad review first segment was about 3 months ago. can’t believe I’m left with no choice but to leave this modified review. I am appalled and offended by the way I have been treated by an employee there at planet fitness he’s a vacation bald man with red facial beard.

Now I’ve been working out there for over 3 months and every time I have made improvements beyond any comprehension but for the last month, I have been using the 2.5kg or 5 lb cable weight add on weights in addition to maxing out the cable machines, literally all of them and I know staff had seen me doing this even from a distance because I’ve seen them looking out of curiosity and’s utter disbeliefe and not one time have anyone told me anything of doing such.

So the first time that I am confronted by an employeee the bald red bearded man he comes to me and in a condescending aggressive voice demands I take those cable weight additions off the machines he was saying it as I was still loading I believe one of the last additions. I quickly replied in a calm manner ok that’s cool I’ll put them back no worries…as I’m attempting to get the weight I just hooked in from the machine he insisted again and literally nudged me out the way and forcefully grabbed some weights. I told him I got it as he came back to grab more.

There is no excuse for that man to talk to me that way..sure as hell has no right to lay any fingers on me. By definition you push a man even with a nudge it s classified as assault he is lucky I don’t wish to press charges on him which would have been worse because I am a disabled individual if I would have tripped and fell on a weight or something guaranteed I would have sued.

Either this man looses his job or I’m no longer going to this gym ever. Not only that but if I do leave this gym if he doesn’t get fired I will demand the rest of my credits back for the remainder balance.

This gyms managements choice.

Oh ands his exact words were these weights are meant for the cable weights. The machines are cable weights as well they all have 1/4 inch cables which each can withstand the pressure of lifting 3.4 tons..that is a fact even with each of the pulleys those pulleys based on there design they can handle up to 1,500 lbs before they break and that’s only because they are triple welded beads.

Honestly I would have gaze zero stars but the only reason I have two stars is one the rest of the staff have been great. Well and I really really like one of them too that’s the extra star. But the guy with the red beard. Not acceptable in any business if an employee touches a customer in any kind of way that’s an automatic firing no questions asked.

Either this is resolved the way it should be or I will no longer be working out at this gym. At the least have the courtesy to provide an apology. Honestly I don’t know if he even realized that he nudged me away like he did.

People tend to do things they normally would not do. I’m actually quite use to that I’ve had people randomly threaten to kill me even been shot a Couple times and stabbed. But the behavior here not even I could have predicted I was in perfect compliance when he told me to stop the rest was not necessary.

Ok so after 3 months I decided to give this gym one last chance and was going to start working out everyday again.

So I was maxing out on every machine that I touched that’s just what I do that’s my work out regiment.

I’ve already did one complete circuit through all the machines I decided to start recording them one of their members came up to me and told me to be more quieter when lifting the weights. I wasn’t really that loud for one but the only real loud part is when the cord lifts the weights.

So the big guy who may be Jamaican but that’s regardless of anything has the nerve to tell me to work out with less weights

You think anyone wants anyone telling them how to work out. So I came to the front as I complained about today’s incident I also mentioned the first 3 months ago. No apology so I canceled membership for the remaining six months

This planet fitness on Ireland Road is brand new! It’s in the old Ace Hardware building which before that used to be a Frank’s nursery and crafts! The machines are new it’s nice and clean. I like that it doesn’t have loud music playing so I can hear my own music When I’m exercising. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Something very important to make note of - they are cashless.
