We’ve been members at this Planet Fitness for over three years and have always enjoyed coming here. The gym itself is clean, affordable, and has always had a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, over the last three months, that experience has changed due to one new employee, I believe her name is Rachel. In our personal experience, she has been consistently rude, unapproachable, and carries a bad attitude that completely shifts the tone of the front desk. I’ve never had a single issue with staff until she started working here. It’s gotten to the point where we are genuinely considering switching gyms, which is disappointing after being loyal members for so long. I hope management addresses this, because this location has always been great apart from this ongoing issue.

I've been a black card member for a couple years now and today I used the skip payment method. I was told planet fitness doesn't offer that feature anymore even though it allowed me to go in using the feature from the app..I would've made the payment right (was planning on after labor day) but the lie he told me showed dishonesty in my opinion. It was a guy maybe 34-40 bald white guy average build. If they are willing to lie that the feature the app allows isn't really allowed then they should remove it from the app. I canceled my membership right there on the spot because I don't appreciate dishonesty tactics. I have a home down the street in sand piper and a built a gym just never used it. But If the app shows a payment etc should we say its a less amount on the app? If the app says you can do this with the black card, should we say we can't even though the app says it? Anyway it was completely dishonest and how comfortable he was to do it makes me never want to do business with planet fitness for the foreseeable future. So if you do try the skip payment because of whatever plans you have, know that its most likely not a issue and they are picking and choosing out of boredom and willing to lie to you. Disgusting practice when the truth takes less energy. Anyway they lose a customer whose been there for multiple years because they don't acknowledge the apps features. Doesn't make sense, but oh well. There's most likely more honest people elsewhere so it's a blessings and ill see it as such. I've been in indiana and joined this club when I got here becaaue it was so close to my house. But ive noticed a flaw in character all throughout indiana so running into this eventually, I feel was expected. The skip payment has worked all the 2 times ive used it in 2 years but it doesn't work today or isn't allowed anymore. Not skipped a payment and never paid but having a active membership for 2 going on 3 years.

He also had the audacity to ask me why I was canceling and said he'd advise not to do. Trust im not from indiana nor do i hangout or associate or congregate with anyone who seems to be a low character. Thats something i dont ignore. At this point buddy, your dishonesty is the reason. Such a silly request from him. Lose 30$ for the foreseeable future all for 30$ 1 payment and tell me the app is misleading me and is wrong to have that feature. The app. The planet fitness app has the feature, but they don't allow it at this "franchise" its only allowed at corporate. I signed up at this franchise and the feature app and account all is with this franchise. Bogus. I just paid the balance and now I'm use my home gym or better yet, find a different gym. But to pay and stay for this type of conversation and vibe from him, no thank you. Something told me his greeting when I walked in was off, and then he went into the computer. Funny. But look at the reason he put. This is not the case. You said the app mislead me. Don't believe the app because even though they offer perks, it can't be used my me. Such a dishonest practice and even another lie to cover up what he did. Wouldn't the cancelation reason be "did not agree with new planet fitness rules" or something like that if it was genuinely that. I literally was following a feature in the app, and was told that the feature wasn't for me. I couldn't use it. If I can't trust the app (apparently) why would I pay and stay here?

I really like this club, my girlfriend and I come here every morning around 5:45 AM. Unfortunately about once every few weeks when we arrive there is no staff there to unlock the doors and the club is closed. The club advertises that they open at 5 AM. I really enjoy coming here and all of the staff have been very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are always very clean and I usually have no issues getting on a machine but the fact that it is closed on random days is very frustrating and makes me want to join a new gym.

Beware of this particular club! They are money hungry and do not care about the member. We recently moved to Florida and I forgot to cancel my membership. My son did the same thing. When the 49 dollar annual fee came out of our bank, we called our clubs to cancel and request a refund for the fee. My son’s club gave him a refund with no problem. This club refused to give me a refund. When I asked if there was a customer service department I could speak with they gave me a number for the planet fitness store knowing they couldn’t help me. The store referred me back to the club I was a member of in Westfield. They still refused to issue a refund. I was a member there for over a year and paid my fees each month on time. I feel they should have been willing to help me in this situation. The only thing I can do is warn others to always remember to cancel your membership with this club. They will not work with you if you don’t!

This is a non-stress Fitness Center and 5 minutes from my home. The Center is clean and the bathrooms are very nice. I enjoy that depending on how much time available, I can plan my exercise routine. It is great if you pay a little extra, you have access to tanning beds and message chairs!

I’ve been a black club member here for years and when checking in today was intimidated by the PF employee Pierce.
For a club that promotes intimidation free club you need to check yourself.
Pierce asked if he could take my picture for their computer. I already walked past and was ready for my workout and responded to him by saying, let’s do that my next visit.
Pierce said…”I’m not asking”.
Yea let that sink in… I was shocked at that level of customer awareness. I ended up saying back that, I’m not feeling photogenic today and I’m having a case of the Monday's. He said “Everyone is”. Again wow, what a way to talk to a customer of many years. He then said, I can tell you to leave if you don’t. I then walked out and told him to cancel my membership on the way out.

After PF response: Giving me more "homework" to resolve the situation is not. Why wouldn't you respond to this by saying that YOU will reach out to the appropriate manager and reach out to me. That would make your customer feel more valued.
I was dialing PF corp before I walked to my car yesterday. Spent close to 10 minutes waiting to talk to a customer rep. They informed me that they would escalate to the regional mgr. I have yet to receive a call.

Very clean gym. Has a hack squat machine. Workers are friendly (don't forget to scan in or they will chase you down).

Only complaint is the bathroom smells awful at times. I there may be some plumbing problem causing the shower drains to stink.

Planet fitness had a great variety of machines both strength and cardio. They also have a few different workout areas like circuit training and core.

They recently installed the brightest, most obnoxious blinding white LED light above the stair climbers. I've just stopped using the stair climbers completely because the light is so annoying

Also, they a few months ago, they changed what paper towels they leave out for cleaning the machines, which aren't very absorbent, so don't hold they cleaner very well at all. I feel like I'm cleaning machines with a dry paper towel

Showers are disgusting! There's is always a few people just standing around behind the counter.

The curtains, handle, and shower head are always covered in calcium. Water barely comes out and sprays in all directions. They are covered in hair and one of them has had gum stuck in it for weeks.

Their lazy employees should be cleaning them every hour. Take a break from your phone and socializing and do your job! If I'm going to have my price increased without signing a new contract and my 27/7 gym is only 24hrs a few days a week now the least you can do is keep the showers clean!

Personally I think increasing rates and reducing hours is a contract violation for those of us that signed up years ago at 20$ for the black membership. If someone starts a class action suit I'm in.

I get we don't have a lot of cheap gym options but who you give your money to makes a difference..

If you notice many of these positive reviews are fake. Like the one that claim the place is spotless and the employees are always working hard. From guy with one review. Lol. Owner clearly made a fake account. Anyone that has ever been there knows it's filthy and all they do is stand around.

Update: they are worse weeks later. One didn't work at all, the one that still has gum in it just trickles water, and the handicapped switches from cold to scolding every few seconds. The owner doesn't care. Its a shut up and pay me place. Has zero pride in their investment. If they did the showers would be fixed immediately. The employees would take pride in their locker rooms. Poor integrity starts at the top and trickles down.

Update: Now the gum shower is doing the scolding and cold thing. The owner needs to stop being so cheap and fix the showers. Maybe tell your employees that they are paid to keep those showers clean. Not stand at the desk and socialize all day. I've never seen anyone there working and the showers are gross every single time!!!

The gym staff is very unfriendly and not helpful. I walked in the other night not realizing that they close at 7pm on the weekends. The girl working the front desk said they close in 10mins. So we left. On our way out, the other gentleman working with her made fun of us for not knowing. Then this past weekend I went to go in and workout and the girl made it a point to let me know they close in an hour which is plenty of time to get a workout in before they close. Without hindering her or making her stay longer. I’ve worked in customer service. I get it but an hour is a little ridiculous for a warning especially after she let me know last time they close at 7pm.

There are always unsupervised children using the equipment and playing around in there.

It is always so dirty in there. The tanning beds are also disgusting.

I went to call and cancel my membership today and the guy on the phone was so rude when I asked if I can cancel. I had been trying to call all morning with no one answering. He said I need to come in. I asked if there was a service line I can call and he said no you need to come in, in a very aggressive tone then hung up on me.

So unprofessional and happy to be closing out my membership and going elsewhere.

2nd time
Saturday Jan.4’25 still don’t have people who fixed hot water for shower during bad weather after we work out. After weekday the young lady who came a for help and clean this place after she left just one day the problem happened again. Other poor membership who have to shower after work out she almost a shower but she found that not hot but I knew this place then I check first then I ask the front desk to fixed but it same situation he don’t know and not willing to help and continue watch his tablet 🙄
So, the owner please try to solve this problem because during this kind of weather people want to work out and they need to shower before they going to work or do any errands.

Weekend front staff rude and don’t have customer service. I been member for this club more than 2 years knows many staff who ever worked on weekday here but now some gone, some still here and kindly to help but new people on weekend that bad. Not even try to help when I ask just talk back and when I try to tell them to ask people that always help how to fixed the problem that always happens like hot water not work.
Normal they just went to check in utilities room and reset! It had manual to solve the problem in that room but these people not even response just talk that he can’t do noting have to wait for fixed! But every time the little boy who work weekday or little girl who got probation or Hector who move back to Hawaii always fixed that. I try to tell them for ask the weekday staff how to solves the problem because it always happen he just talk back with many reason that it broken then I told them if it not work you should to have notice to let customer know so they will prepare what to do but he still talk back a hundred reason. That not worst as he shouting loudly “ Have a great… day”

My Honest Review of Planet Fitness in Westfield - A Great Budget-Friendly Option

I've been a member of Planet Fitness in Westfield for a few months now, and I'm really happy with my experience so far. Honestly, I was hesitant to join a gym at first, but I was drawn to Planet Fitness because of their affordable membership options.

The gym itself is clean, and I've never had any issues finding the equipment I need. I mostly stick to the cardio machines and free weights, but they also have a good selection of other equipment like weight machines and even some functional training areas.

The best part about Planet Fitness is definitely the "judgment-free zone" atmosphere. I'm not the most experienced gym-goer, and sometimes I feel a little self-conscious, but I've never felt judged at Planet Fitness. System has been down now two weeks and this is the second time I have tried to tan; however, I am not able to purchase eye protection which are fifty cents and they will not accept cash. I was told I can tan without eye protection or bring my own eye protection. So the club is allowing individuals to tan without eye protection. Isn’t that against state laws? Very irresponsible as a business. The least they can do is give the winkies out for free until their system is back up and can accept a card for payment or at minimum if you are concerned about profitability then accept cash versus allowing people to go into a tanning bed and possibly harm their eyes. Shame on you and the manager, Ashton, who stated his manager won’t approve providing eye protection when tanning at their facility. Here is the law:

Indiana law requires that tanning facility operators provide protective eyewear and ensure that customers wear it before using a tanning device:

Eye protection required
Tanning facilities must provide protective eyewear or disposable eye protection, and post a sign stating that it must be worn.

Not the best planet fitness. Every location is different, and the Westfield IN location just leaves a lot to be desired. The mens bathroom never has any paper towels and the toilets are dirty, one of the shower heads is literally just a tube sticking out of the wall. Another shower head is not connected properly, and you better hope nobody decides to hop in the shower while you're in one, because you'll immediately be deprived of any hot water. Additionally, the sinks desperately need to be snaked as they fill up with water after every use.
The machines are sub par. There are a few machines that are just missing, and the leg press doesn't even go down far enough to get a good workout in. Plus, there's essentially no place in the gym where you're not face to face with a screen letting you know what Trump is up to. But, to this location's credit, thats not really unusual of any planet fitness. However, they could definitely stand to turn the music down, because every time I've been in here the volume has been abhorrent.
Overall, its a fine gym. I personally prefer the location 10 minutes south in Carmel, but this one does what its meant to. Plus, the employees are chill and won't hassle you about much, which is always a plus.

I like everything about planet fitness except they put a 3rd tv station on news (it was on regular programming). That doesn't give much selection of tv if you're on certain machines. The manager refused to change it back. Not very customer friendly.

7/16/24 That review was left a few years ago. We had family from MA visiting who used the Westfield Planet Fitness. They said neither the staff nor most of the patrons wiped down the machines after using them. The staff just stood behind the counter talking. There was wadded paper in the water fountain both days they were there. It sounds like this Planet Fitness has gone downhill. I felt bad having recommended it to them.

For the past week, this facility had gotten increasingly dusty and now, down right dirty. Used tissues and paper towels on the floor, little to no liquid cleaner in bottles and staff standing behind the front desk on their phones. I travel the USA for work. I've visited 30+ Gyms across the country, mostly Planet Fitness.

This is so far, the dirtiest one I have ever encountered. Greasy grime everywhere. The Showers are 30% the size of every other PF. The mirrors are nasty. The floors are dirty. Not the typical PF. Avoid if you can.

I use this gym frequently. My complaint is regarding the tanning beds. My understanding is that you clean the bed after use. When I go in. There is sweat on the bed from the previous person. 🤢 I spend 3-5 minutes cleaning the bed before and after tanning. Can someone clairify the "rules"? Also the plexiglass over the bulbs is scratched. I've never seen this on any other tanning bed that I've been to. How often are bulbs changed? I'm never made aware of when they are changed. That makes a difference in how long I stay in. HELP!

The gym facilities are excellent, providing a conducive environment for workouts. However, the morning staff's demeanor is less than welcoming. Y’all need more weights. There aren’t enough 45s or 25s so people move them around the gym and leave them there, and then other machines are left with none. I would not recommend the gym. Gym staff are pleasant. At the end of the day you can get a workout done here, but the company will add friction at every step for canceling. People are busy. People move cities/states. But you have to go in-person to cancel your gym. And if you paid for a black card, you can’t cancel at any gym, you have to cancel at YOUR gym. Then, if you make the trip back, cancel. You may still be charged for the next month. Upon playing phone-tag with member services, there’s no offer of proration/refund. Only that it was in your agreement to pay the next month after you cancel.

In that case, I would’ve used the wasted $25 to pay for a more expensive gym with better quality equipment, availability, and policies.

Don’t care what the promotions are, signing up is just investing in a future headache when you want to get out.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the equipment is in good repair, and the hours they are open work great for many lifestyles. It is not crowded majority of the time and the staff keeps this facility extremely clean. (In fact, I never see them stop cleaning!) Awesome place for the price.

Came here for the first time to get a workout in on the way back home after visiting friends up north. I don't have any significant complaints about this location - the machines are pretty standard to what you'd see at any other PF location (at least the ones that I've been to). I didn't notice any issues with cleanliness, though I wasn't particularly paying too much attention since I had just driven over two hours prior to my workout and was already kinda tired. I'm a fairly big dude so I was glad that there was a decent amount of space between machines at this location so it didn't feel claustrophobic. The male locker room was very spacious and has bench space lined up right up by the lockers (my favorite bench-locker configuration), and the showers seemed pretty spacious relative to what I've seen at other PF locations. Overall I'd come back if I ever was up in the area and needed a workout.

I’m giving it 3 stars because there is no communication. If you are closing the place earlier than usual i think it is only fair you send a message, instead of letting me drive all the way there only to find out you are closed or closing soon. Please do better

If your hours change, a good plan of action would be to change the hours on your app and on Google. Advertising as 24 hrs some days and not being open 24 hours, seems like you're offering convenience unless someone drives to a closed gym. Do better and don't waste people's time!

24 /hours 7 SEVEN Days a week??? Black card members are not honored on weekends ... Very misleading marketing ploys. I travel the country.. seems like Indiana is not offering full time access to their clubs! Not sure why i pay for 7day.. 24 access ! Seems very poor and misleading to those paying for a false statement. .it is so misleading and very poor standards of practice to sell higher fees then not provide 7 day 24 hr. access. What gives PF??

Great gym and amazing price when compared to other gyms. The staff are always helpful and nice. I would rate 5 stars if you guys could add in a couple freeweight benches. Smith machines are great for new ppl but they restrict your motion too much and can in some cases be counterproductive.

Feel like this gym has a lot of things missing, even compared to the Carmel Planet Fitness. No medicine balls, no kettlebells, no free weight bars or bench press benches. The only barbells they have are smith machines. The Carmel one is about the same distance from me so I’ll probably just use that one in the future.

Could you please repair the sinks in the Men’s room? Two out of 3 do not have running water for the last several weeks. There seems to be continual plumping issues!

I changed to Westfield from Carmel due to the same issues.

It’s seems to tell me the franchise owner is not involved with the day to day activities of the clubs.

Its amazing place to work out i would definitely get the black card
Its worth 24 a month .
You get the hydro bed and chair massage and tanning
You cant get those at any other place that i have worked out at and i have tried several places
You wont believe the prices at some of the other gym's its ridiculous
The employees are wonderful and friendly. You can ask questions and they will tell about the equipment.

This is the only location that does not feel dark and depressing. I like to have windows and see outside. It is a big facility. Great gym to work out in. Great staff willing to help. Locker room, showers, and restrooms..The best trainer ever! Also includes a sitting room with hydro massage room , massage chairs, muscle relaxer booth, and tanning rooms.
