I am a current member, my husband is not. My husband went to the club and asked for the free day pass that is clearly described on the planet fitness website because he would like to also try the gym and see if it’s something he would like to subscribe to (normal occurrence for ANY gym). The gentleman at the front desk today @ 2PM (andy?) told my husband that’s no longer allowed and he would just need to sign up for a membership, all he could offer was a tour lol. Cool, that’s not what a day pass is… my husband asked why and he said he can’t tell him, signed an NDA due to some incident?

I called and informed same gentleman that I’m a member and my husband would like to maybe also become one, asking why he was turned away when planet fitness as an organization offers A FREE DAY PASS to people possibly signing up, through the app or the website says head to your club to inquire. He told me “idk, management just says we don’t really do that anymore”. I asked to speak to management since he was not providing me any helpful information or the reason to why they’re not holding up the planet fitness policy of a free day pass? He gave me a number to call the manager but highly doubt it’s the managers number.

This is completely odd and frustrating. We have an 18 m/o and I can’t just bring him as a friend under my membership, this was the way he could gauge if it’s right for him or if another gym is.

Membership canceled. Absolutely horrible customer service. Do better.

I will not give my bank info. I will give you a card or pay cash. It is ridiculous you won't take a cc. I understand the reason but not for me. When you get hacked, i cant money back from my bank if not a cc.

If you say you are open at 5am the doors should be open at 5am not one day since joining has the gym opened on time. Do better!

I enjoy going to this gym, employees are always friendly and gym is always clean. Equipment is in good working condition. My only complaint is that I wish it was open later or would open earlier

I just came to this location for the first (and probably only) time and I was reasonably impressed with this PF location. It checks off most boxes of what I look for in a good gym:
1. Spacious - compared to several other locations I’ve been to around Indianapolis/Carmel/Fishers, I’d say this is either the second or third biggest around here, I’d have to see the Westfield and 86th st locations again to guess for sure. Either way, plenty of room to walk around
2. Clean - at least by my standards. I didn’t notice anything problematic as far as spills/trash etc.
3. Nice men’s showers - probably my favorite PF showers around the Indy area actually. Nice enclosed buffer space going into each shower so you have some space to get dried off without awkwardly having to stand in an open area.
4. Good standard PF machines - you know what to expect here if you’ve been to most PF locations.

My one gripe with this location in the men’s locker room is the benches and overall locker space. The placement of the benches is awkwardly close to the lockers such that when they open it’s hard to maneuver around. If you’re stuck in between locker doors you’re actually just stuck until one closes (or you step onto the benches). Would’ve been nice if they could’ve allocated just a little more floor space to the locker rooms, but given how nice the rest of the gym is it’s a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things.

Not friendly with truck drivers. Not only was the staff not helpful or friendly but the people behind the PF made sure I knew I was not welcome. There was a Whitestown Police officer parked in the back. I asked him if I was ok to park and he said yes. There are no “no semi” signs only “no overnight parking” signs.
I still parked out back after a small altercation with one of the residents. I assured him I was not going to idle and I would only be 2 hours. Finally he left me alone.
I can understand not wanting to listen to a truck idle and if there are “no truck” signs obviously I won’t park there but this was a sense on entitlement and weirdness I’ve never experienced at a PF.
I run Dayton to Spencer to Chicago 5x a week and NEVER have I had any weird issues at a PF except in Springfield, Ohio and now here. All the other PFs along this route are extremely friendly and welcoming. Avoid this Pretentious Fitness at all costs if you’re a driver.

Ms. Faith at the Whitestown location is an absolute angel 😇. She gives such a warm and encouraging greeting that you look forward to seeing her as part of your routine. She even remembers your name. She is also very knowledgeable of the equipment and makes great recommendations for goals you may have.

Every workout machine is in great condition. The gym is very clean and organized! I like that there are multiple weight stations throughout the gym which helps during the crowded hours. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else than this gym!

Vary clean Ayden was up front this morning it was my first time at this location he was very nice greeted me as I walked in show me where the men's room was so I can change and get a locker and when I forgot my luck he helped me get a new one one of the best I've been to the only thing right now I've seen was there was not equal weights on every machine talking about the plates the 45,25,10,5 can you need to rearrange so there's an equal amount of plates on each machine and there are to be returned to that machine ....great experience tho vary recommend...

This gym is not the place for a single mom new to the area who has no support system. They will not even let you tour the place if you bring your kid with you. If you have to bring your kid(s) with you everywhere, you’re SOL. Find somewhere else or just keep getting fatter. Boo.
Edit: I'm not trying to get a membership for my 6-year-old child, so response from "owner" doesn't really make sense to me. I simply have to bring him with me everywhere I go, as I am the only caregiver in the area. If he were to come with me, he would be expected to wait quietly while I get a workout in. Repeat: Not a place for single parents who are sole caregivers. Planet Fitness DOES discriminate.

Went in to sign up for a membership and the girl at the front desk was beyond rude. Didn’t say hi and when I asked how to sign up she just said “use the app”. I thought she meant application and asked what she said and in a snarky tone she said “the app? Like on your phone?” And then proceeded to just walk away from me. She had faked dyed dark black hair and nose piercings. Don’t know what her issue was but why even have someone at the front desk if they are just going to be rude to someone who wants to sign up for a membership?

Good, clean gym. More equipment for strength training than most other planet fitnesses (6 smith machines and 2 pec fly machines vs greenwood’s 4 and 1, for example)
Only complaint is the lack of rope attachments for the cable machines. There are exactly two of them for all of the cable machines in the gym. With this being one of the most popular attachments, they are typically in use, which gives a bottleneck when there are so many cable machines. If they end up getting more, I would update to 5 stars.

It's a planet fitness, so you know what it looks like. More crowded than usual, Whitestown was starved for a gym. I left today because the music was filthy and loud. Louder than other gyms. Plenty filthy.

Nice new facility, conveniently located. Layout is a bit different from what I am used to (no 30 min circuit), and some of the new machines improve floor space utilization but aren't (in my opinion) as good as previous versions (abductor/adductor). Still, most of the great stuff is still there and new clean facility is great.
