My daughter has attended gymnastics at Stage 1 for about 4 years now and we both love it. I feel that she is getting good instruction and, despite there sometimes being 10-15 kids in the class, she gets personalized training.

I can’t speak about the dance classes, but if they are anything like the gymnastics program, I recommend it.

I was trying to find the page for Frankfort, but can only find the Greenwood location.

The staff are very professional and friendly even while social distancing due to COVID. They have put in place great practices such as the Zoom links to enable parents to watch class if they wish.

While being professional, the teachers are also very friendly and seem to genuinely care for the kids. Plenty of patience with 6 or more 3 year olds in class each Wednesday!

I look forward to seeing my daughter grow confidence and a new skill set! (Maybe some coordination too.)

My kids danced here for 6 years. We loved all the staff and the instructors. My girls did a couple years of hip hop, jazz/tap and advanced jazz classes. Instructors were always very friendly and well qualified. Both girls made lots of friends and have great memories. One daughter danced through high school graduation and my other daughter decided to focus more on another sport, but we miss this place! Would very much recommend.

I wouldn't take my daughter anywhere else. They have great staff who take the time to get to know your child. They make the classes fun for little dancers who are just starting out and a little shy. Stage 1 Dance Academy has been the most amazing experience for our girls! They absolutely love coming here every week, and hate whenever they have to miss class. The teachers are beyond incredible, and we feel so good about being part of the Stage 1 family. We love stage 1! My 2 year old daughter started coming may of this year and she begs to go to class. The creative movement class is perfect for her age. It is only 30 minutes which is great for her attention span. They start off singing a few songs then do some activities including some tumbling then a few more songs. The suckers and stamps at the end of class are always one of her favorite parts as well. The teachers are always smiling and happy to see the children. I have loved watching my daughter blossom since starting class.

When I decided to enroll my granddaughter in ballet I initially went to set up a trial at another studio after receiving a Groupon as a gift. After multiple failed attempts to reach someone at that studio followed by one very unprofessional first and only meeting, I happened to pass by Stage I Dance Academy when they were open for registration. I decided to go in and was immediately greeted by Katie. That first impression remained consistent throughout my granddaughter's first year of dance, and has continued into her second year of dance! Katie and her entire staff are always cheerful and professional, and the environment they have created is very family-friendly and supportive. My granddaughter loved her ballet/tap class, and her first recital was an amazing experience! All of the music and costumes were age-appropriate. She is now dancing with the Performing Company and we are very excited for her second year of dance! Stage I also held their first annual appreciation event last year - so much fun for the dancers and their families! They also invite the most amazing guest choreographers and my granddaughter has really blossomed with all of these extra dance opportunities! Stage I Dance Academy really is an amazing dance studio. Stage 1 has great teachers that work well with students and keep classes fun while teaching them how to be better dancers. Not only do you learn how to dance but you are taught how to be strong and confident in yourself through fun excercises, such as talking into a microphone to tell the class who you are and a little about yourself.
